      1. I liked Malcolm’s comment that Prinz Dummkopf enjoys scolding Canadians, much like his hero and buddy Barry Soetoro reprimanded Americans.

        Yeah, a good scolding will stop that infernal disease right in its tracks. Oh, well, we can add ace virologist to the growing list of Prinz Dummkopf’s capabilities.

        I’m reminded of a story I heard about Henry Ford. He didn’t have much formal education but he also knew his limitations. If there was something he couldn’t do or didn’t know, he hired the best people he could find to come up with the answers he needed. Great leaders have been known to do that from time to time.

        Unfortunately, we have a completely inept prime minister who surrounds himself with people even less talented or intelligent than he is. He hasn’t got the brains to realize he should sometimes take advice from someone who can do what he can’t or knows what he doesn’t.

    1. I’m not surprised.

      When I was a young shortwave listener back in high school in the early 1970s, the BBC World Service was considered the best source of news in the world. (Other stations such as Radio Canada International weren’t far behind.) It got that way by being unbiased and maintaining its integrity.

      I remember one such example during the mid-1980s when the Beeb shut down for a day as a protest against an attempt by the Thatcher government to pressure a BBC reporter to reveal his source in a matter related to the IRA. The Iron Lady eventually backed down.

      The decline of the BBCWS began when it changed its structure by spinning off the transmission side as a private business and then changing its programming schedule into regional streams. I was a monitor for the station back then and it made things rather difficult because certain shows that I listened to weren’t on at the old times any more.

      Finally, just over 20 years ago, it abandoned its shortwave service to North America and it dispensed with my volunteer services, moving all that over to the Internet. By the time I resumed listening to it on a regular basis once again, its format had changed from a professional and formal demeanour to one close to that of a top-40 station.

      I stopped listening several years ago. I got tired of rude and belligerent interviewers who bullied guests who had opinions different than theirs as well as a distinct bias against conservative viewpoints. It had stopped being the same Auntie Beeb that I listened to when I was much younger.

It would be more tolerable if cashiers would wash their hands after handling the filthy reusable bags provided by the customer before you and before handling your purchases.

      However, I have successfully been weaned from the NFL. Lately, I heard that it had reformed, so I was willing to give the Super Bowl a go. Nothing in the game was amiss, except for the 49’ers shutting down in the fourth quarter, but that half time show was enough for me to go back to boycott, if it reveals where the NFL is still at. Just as one example, don’t those idiots realize that Obama originated putting those kids in cages?

    With China dealing with an escaped bio weapon (tell me it came from some bat market, as if) the stability of the regime is questionable. The PLA isn’t immune. A Politburo re-arrangement of the deck chairs could be in the offing. Coronavirus might be the push to collapse things, China’s Berlin Wall moment. They’ve screwed the pooch on pigs, bird flu has raised it’s head lately and C-virus is a real threat to peace and good government…for us all.

  9. And now last nights news at the Liberal Party’s CBC. The network is outraged that ads were placed in newspapers attacking Ontario teacher unions. The NDP is demanding an investigation. No one is allowed to say negative things about teacher unions or any other unions. And the CBC explained that everyone in Ontario supports the teachers against Hitler Doug Ford. The CBC is also outraged that a climate scientist will be speaking in Regina trashing the global warming scam. The Heritage Minister is right, the Liberal Party needs to censor and control the media in Canada to make sure proper “progressive” views are the only source of information for the peasants.

    Only a third of registered nurses are full time. Not mentioned explicitly in the article, but part time nurses have figured out that you work part time, but then get paid overtime for extra hours. Thus boosting your salary.

    Saskatoon / 650 CKOM News February 03, 2020 02:05 pm

    Two incidents Saturday left two women with minor injuries after assaults and robberies by large groups of teenagers.
    Around 6:30 p.m., Saskatoon police responded to a report of a large group of teens causing a disturbance inside a restaurant on the 400 block of 22nd Street East.
    When police arrived, they found three women aged 17 and 18 who said they were assaulted and robbed by the group. Two suffered minor injuries in the incident.
    As police investigated, another report came in for assault and robbery on the 300 block of Third Avenue involving a large group of youths.
    A 22-year-old man said he was approached while walking, with the group demanding money before “punching him repeatedly” and stealing his cellphone.
    Several members of the group were located by officers.
    Two girls, aged 14 and 12, were charged with assault and robbery in the first incident. An additional 14-year-old boy also was charged for breach of court conditions.
