  1. On social media, I’ve started advocating for “Victory Gardens” to be grown in the front yards of those residing in the eastern provinces after Alberta-Sask. separate.
    It’s for their own good.

    Perhaps the Globe and Mail should as well, so those with a something to say about “climate change” have a stake in the game.

    It couldn’t be much different from the SCOAMF Obama buying ocean front property this year. Companies are still writing 30 year mortgages for ocean front properties in Florida, Texas, the Carolinas, ect… all the way up the coast to the intergenerational welfare collecting Atlantic provinces of Canada.

    The “mandatory” cutbacks on consumption should dovetail nicely with how Greta is advocating for certain politicians to be lined up against the wall…

  3. CAGW mass hysteria is becoming mainstream and pervasive. Civil war or totalitarianism will be the ultimate and logical outcome. The one outcome that is least likely to happen is the exaggerated warming, storms, droughts etc predicted by the hysterics.

Wherever “genuine” and “effective” and “serious” climate-change policies have been put into place, the affected population quickly puts those politicians responsible out to pasture. See Australia, see Wynne’s provincial Liberals in Ontario in 2018, and federal Liberals in Alberta & Saskatchewan in October 2019. Once climate policies start to bite in Ontario and Quebec the Liberals will be quickly sent to the woodshed.

    2. Someone should figure out the carbon footprint left by burning gunpowder and exploding C4, so they can be appropriately rationed when the war starts.

    I heard similar malarkey in Sunday sermons 40 years ago. Back then, one of the favourite issues was “wealth re-distribution”. Of course, I, and people like me, had to be the ones “re-distributing” our wealth, or whatever passed for it. The ones pushing for it, though, were exempt as they needed their money to continue doing their “Great Work”…. of reminding us of how evil we were for having even the smallest amount of cash.

      Coca-cola sponsored the Climate change conference, this year. Greta must have been upset about the Profiteers’ involvement. There was Burger King too, selling hamburgers. There were probably many more Captains of Industry there. Did they hide their involvement in previous years?

      How could they take Coke’s and the other sponsors’ money with a good conscience? Did they think that filling the entrance to the conference with ads made from ‘cardboard’ was the right thing when a few years ago that was forbidden because cutting trees is evil? (The bad thing this year was plastic)

      1. Burger King (US) is pushing fake meat. They are being as fanatical as A$$holes & Whackjobs (aka A&W) in Canada about pushing it. That includes hiring actors to pretend not to be Soibois while choking through it.
        That would explain their presence at the Leftfest in Madrid.

          Keean Bexte from Rebel News who was in Madrid reported on this. Apparently the meatless burgers and other meatless food, was offered to the public at large who were not welcomed ‘inside’ at the Climate conference but were permitted in the atrium.

          Meanwhile the Delegates had beef on offer ‘inside’ the main event, including those from Burger King, and whatever else. They know that meat is brain food. (They want YOU to stop eating it though)

    Considering serious rationing of ‘superfluous’ consumer items such as textiles, beauty aids and recreational drugs (especially alcohol and tobacco) might drive home some uncomfortable consequences of more honest rationing and result in more rational thought experiments. .

          Revamping our immigration policy may also prove less dangerous to our police services, too. Particularly those in Edmonton.

All of them think the Climate Crisis is real. The Con Commies, the Lib Commies, the NDP Commies, the BQ Commies, and the Green Commies. They want YOU DEAD. This is the New Green Communism. They want you disarmed, they want you gagged, and they want your property/money, and the last bit of food from your cupboards so they can redistribute.   11. Consider this. Who owns the media now in Canada? Why does the Government of Canada want this message spread and disseminated amongst the sheep? Everything is for a reason.
    I recall my parents who came through the 30’s and the WW2 talking about rationing. It started the same way, with talk and newspaper articles. All it would take is an Order in Council and it would be the law.
    Hopefully you are aware that there have been crop failures globally for weather and other reason’s. Such as swine disease in China. The Climate Agenda of Green Communism is driven by the UN. Canada has always done as the UN demands, especially under the Liberal Communists.
    I am not saying pay attention, but pay attention. If I was a thinking man, I would start hoarding a bit of food back for my family and I would definitely be putting in a garden and buying up non hybrid garden seed. Let’s just say it’s a feeling in my bones. Laugh if you want, and many laughed when I said before the last election when Trudeau gave 600M as his starting sugar to control the media for the election that we would be gagged very shortly. Well wash your socks because he has issued orders to start gagging us now.

    I know I am preaching to the choir here, but the Greta’s, Bill Nye’s, DiCrapio’s and Gore’s of this world simply could not exist as climate hoaxers without the above-described cabal enthusiastically confirming their delusions and protecting their lies from being exposed. Defending the MMGW narrative is job #1!

    To that end, I have wondered for a while now why these self-righteous warmers don’t go after ‘denier politicians’ with more vigorous attacks than they have been. I have come to the conclusion that they sense their monopoly on the control of information is ending and the last thing they want is ANY open public debate challenging the reality of man-made climate change (Just look at how unable they have been recently to control either the impeachment or Brexit narratives). It is simply too powerful a tool for destroying western economies to risk exposing it now as the fraud on western civilization that it truly has been.

    I also suspect that is partly the reason these zealots virtually ignore China, India, etc. Put too much pressure on these entities and they WILL fight back hard against this fraud because they don’t give a damn what ‘virtue-addicted’ western watermelons think of them. At this time, I think China considers their fanboy Lib/Dems as nothing more than useful idiots in the ultimate plot to destroy western civilization.

    1. With modern computers, all electronic cash, computerized cash registers, and ordering systems very very easy for the Government to control the food chain and the sheep. If you have a bad social score, think China’s social credit system you will shut the hell up when told or perhaps your family will get reduced rations. And all of the media will help sell the Orders in Council when told what to say and when to say it, the Gubmint owns them all. You will be on your own.

  18. I agree with the writer in that if “climate change” (mankind’s CO2 production) is a problem only rationing of all energy, to curtail CO2 producing sources, will have any effect on it. I think her view of what it will entail does not begin to describe the actual punishment that will be mete upon mankind. (I do not think that mankind has any measurable effect on natural climate change, but for those that claim we do, rationing is the only way we will stop that effect)

  20. The writer claims to have studied history, particularly of rationing. She seems to have missed a couple of salient points: 1) what happened to regimes who did this without a common enemy (and actual war) to fight; and 2) what’s happened in modern countries where this has been done of necessity (viz Venezuela and Cuba).

    And that’s that whole, “there’s no problem so bad that the government can’t make it worse” thing.

    She also cites Bill McKibben and his ilk, so I’m not about to try to educate her at this point. She would appear to have only so much brain space, and I think it’s used up.

    2. We are in what Scott Adams calls, a land of Two Movies. The US is clearly within this, with the country in a virtual 50/50 split of a vision of doom on the current path, where the only solution is totalitarian socialism disguised as fairness and equality, vs the other half of traditional freedom, liberty and constitutionalism.
      Canada is in that as well, however, at this time it’s not a 50/50 split. The socialists outnumber us right now, however, the support is soft for the socialist totalitarians. Once it is challenged by REAL limits and penalties like rationing for no good reason, there will be a turn, unless our wonderful virtuous Liberal totalitarians decide that Venezuela is a road map, not an avoidable outcome.
