Ash Sarkar is a British social warrior posing as a journalist. She’s a fangirl of Jeremy Corbyn and a self-admitted communist. A few days before the massive defeat of her beloved Labour Party, she penned a missive that Labour has not lost the working class:
The problem with reducing the actually existing diverse working class to a homogeneous cohort of older white Brits with regional accents is that it’s fundamentally misleading. It doesn’t tell you much about either the concentration of wealth or would-be Labour voters, and indeed nothing at all about how to meet the material needs of working-class people who have suffered from decades of deindustrialisation and chronic underfunding by central government. Addressing the gaping regional inequalities in power, money, and infrastructure will be key to neutralising Brexit’s ability to corrode the “red wall”. No one but the ruling class wins in a culture war.
Sargon of Akkad provides an analysis. Ms. Sarkar is clearly living in an urban bubble and clearly knows not a thing about working class Britons who live outside of the cities. Nor, likely, does she care.
One might think that facts destroying her fictional world view would be enough to cause her to pause and reflect but such appears never to be the case for members of the Radical Leftist Cult.

She’s not British. She’s a paki who happens to live in Britain.
She grew up in North London. She’s 100% British.
So If I emigrated to Saudi Arabia with my wife and our children were born there, they would be Arabs? If I cross a golden retriever with a golden retriever I get German Shephard puppies? Makes sense to you I suppose.
They’d be Saudi Arabian (assuming birthright citizenship).
Meaningless. Still a paki.
Are we seeing more evidence of a realignment? Trump hijacked the Republican Party to represent the Working Middle and Main Street. To what degree has Boris followed suit, if at all?
Trump’s hijacking and cult actually most resembles the Corbynites and the results are devastating for both parties.
Melanie Phillips, who has been a pundit for the Guardian, the Times, the Jerusalem Post among others, echoes the Sarkar take.
Anyone who is a “self-admitted communist” should be required to wear a dunce’s cap while out in public as a warning to passersby. How anyone could follow an ideology that has been so discredited over the past 100 years beggars belief.
Brendan O’Neill at Spiked has a good take on the election.

Sadly, there are a lot of Canadians who think like her. Many of them wear a clerical collar and think that communism is true Christianity in action. Yet, while those people openly admire that ideology, they are either blind to or silent about the atrocities that communism has been responsible for and are deliberately so.
Yes, but the United Church is just a cult and a division of the NDP. It stopped being Christian 30 years ago.
The Lutherans aren’t much better.
I have looked for Jesus in all of the big name organized churches. I won’t say he is not there, but MEN lead those organizations, not Jesus.
And the men who lead those organizations tend to rely nowadays on the gospel of St. Marx. That other book? Nah, who needs it unless one can find a vague or obscure passage or two in it to justify supporting some sort of “social action”.
Nor the Anglicans, same period of time, approximately, 30 or so years that it went full leftwing, abandoning everything but the most convenient of scriptures for their socialist causes. Dreadful. The Rainbow flag seems to have replaced the Cross.
B A: ‘st marx’. thats a good one Im gonna use that when the occasion arises.
wont hafta wait very long . . . .
We have long past the point where debate or even clear facts can sway or influence many of these brainwashed and delusional leftards.
Like any hardcore cult victims, they must be methodically DEPROGRAMMED to have any hope of rediscovering reality.
If deprogrammed means lined up against a wall and fired at…then yes…I agree.
Actually a better course for deprogramming is to make them live life without all the benefits that have been derived from capitalism and western culture.
Having to subsist without running water for about 12 hours would likely cure anyone of the socialist affliction.
It couldn’t be that there are any problems with her viewpoint as for Labour’s loss.
She simply wouldn’t accept that she could be wrong, and that’s probably for the best.
and it’s a relief too, that when I saw her Twitter profile, that we don’t share any followers or friends.
That’s always comforting.
Britain. Not Britian.
Otherwise, pfff.. loser commie says what now ?
When they’re making a mistake, don’t interrupt
The scary part is that, worst showing since 1935 it may have been, Corbyn’s Labour still got lots of votes and ridings. It would be one respectable thing to be represented by a LibDem but god a commie anti-semite?
That Is rather scary coming from you. It is, on the face of it, correct.
Probably a mistake, but I will assume you meant it as it reads.
The vast majority of those people that voted Labor anyway didn’t do so because they believe in antisemitism, Corbyn or progressive policies. They did it out of inertia. They have always voted Labor, their parents voted Labor and their grandparents voted Labor. The don’t like Boris’ accent, they believe all Tories eat babies and want to enslave/kill them.
The rest of the voters for Labor are Twitter followers and or read the Grauniad. They live in cities and wouldn’t be caught dead within a hundred miles of a mine or factory. They are true woke believers. Everything they see and read in their hermetically sealed world reinforces their world view. Blind and deaf to any other information, because it must be racially inspired.
Unfortunately for Labor, their behavior in Parliament couldn’t be contained. Voters saw them disregard the express will of those that voted for them, saw them play deliberate obstruction, in the name of the party, not those that voted for them.
You can only abuse the goodwill of the people so far.
You could be right, but it would be interesting to see what percentage of Labour support comes from native Britons, and what percentage comes from Pakis, Arabs, eastern Europeans, and other assorted aliens who have a vested interest in Britain being a vassal state of Germany. Obviously a lot of their support in London comes from people like that because London is no longer an English city. In fact, Manchester, where a lot of there support comes from isn’t really English anymore either.
“assorted aliens who have a vested interest in Britain being a vassal state of Germany.”
What?
“Obviously a lot of their support in London comes from people like that because London is no longer an English city. In fact, Manchester, where a lot of there support comes from isn’t really English anymore either.”
The Conservative Party of the UK also has lots of brown people in it. Hindus in particular tilted hard against Corbyn. One butthurt Labour support exclaimed that Boris’s cabinet looks like a multicultural bunch of pricks. That person gets it. You need to get it.
Which is why all the places that went Labour are either majority alien or almost majority alien. Math is hard.
Sad about that, are we Unuch? Your precious commies got stomped.
Stop calling yourself or thinking you’re a conservative, you’re lying to yourself, and you’re NOT fooling anyone here, Mr Orchard!
Will the city people still think communism is so great when they are all shipped to the country to work the collective farms, without the use of technology?
Food is all that matters when you are hungry, and we all get hungry, off to the farms!
Having returned from a trip to Cambodia a month ago, I can attest that neither youth nor commies understand or acknowledge the inevitable result of their heart’s desire.
It always ends up in the same place. It’s simply a matter of time.
First; semicolon – I am repulsed and creeped-out by her freakishly, devilish, long, pointy, yellow deathlike fingernails. Who makes themselves up like that? That feature alone suggests an altered mental state … that can only be described as evil.
Second; semicolon – Her definition (paraphrased) of what communism is … is … just insane.
Communism is the ability for people to organize their lives as individuals without being managed by a State, and private property is a barrier to those resources “we” need to survive
Wha, wha, whaaaat? Sooooo there’s “no State or government control? which forces people to give up their own personal property to some nebulous collective? And sooooo everyone’s property is now the collectives property. Hmmmm … so who decides what to DO with the property in this nebulous collective of non-government authority? Democratic vote of the people? Uh, of course not. Her T-shirt definition of Communism sounds like something written by a D- Sophomore student at a girls college of rich, pampered girls.
