Reading comments from Torontonians and Quebecers on various news sites and twitter feeds should be all the motivation anybody needs to back a UDI. We are clearly not wanted or respected. They really do actually hate us in the East. Just keep sending those cheques and shut up, hillbilly.

It was back in the 70s when I became convinced that canada was an empire with its elite in Southern Ontario/Quebec. I was stationed in Southern Ontario where I was told, despite my fancy green uniform that I was not really a canadian. I was an Albertan. The light went on. Alberta and Saskatchewan were captured/captive territory that is only in confederation to feed the elite in Ontario/Quebec. About t the same time I became convinced that the way forward is Alberta/Saskatchewan Independence. Nothing has happened since to convince me otherwise.
