That is simply not s good example of a carbon tax btinging down emissions. Their emissions may have gone down (I guess), but people moving to BC who do not have cars is s factor and other people are heading across the border to fill up. I read an article some time ago pointing out the problems with BC as an example. Most other places did not significantly reduce CO2 either. You could tell researchersi wanted to find the carbon tax effective. All they eventually came up with was a suggestion that carbon taxes could help reduce CO2 when combined with other measures. (paraphrasing, but that was the ambiguous conclusion.)
BC exports 37 MILLION TONNES of COAL annually from just south of Tsawassen, BC. Look it up.
So if we all are going to be in EV’s…what’s the Carbon Tax for…??

This is what will happen if Trudeau, Singh, or May get in.

Having said this, has anyone else noticed that CTV Comedy Channel (formerly The Comedy Network) is choosing not to run clips of that episode in the trailer they air that promotes The Daily Show, despite the fact that it is Canadian content and that they have run trailers in the past from that show that did feature Trudeau but only in a flattering way?

Ah ha, it may not be linear. But you get the idea. Under Trudeau, Singh, and May. Carbon taxes will go way up.

That is simply not s good example of a carbon tax btinging down emissions. Their emissions may have gone down (I guess), but people moving to BC who do not have cars is s factor and other people are heading across the border to fill up. I read an article some time ago pointing out the problems with BC as an example. Most other places did not significantly reduce CO2 either. You could tell researchersi wanted to find the carbon tax effective. All they eventually came up with was a suggestion that carbon taxes could help reduce CO2 when combined with other measures. (paraphrasing, but that was the ambiguous conclusion.)
BC exports 37 MILLION TONNES of COAL annually from just south of Tsawassen, BC. Look it up.
So if we all are going to be in EV’s…what’s the Carbon Tax for…??

The money received will be returned to Canadians who buy all electric vehicles.
This is what will happen if Trudeau, Singh, or May get in.

I have followed Rod Dreher (now at TAC) for a number of years and have a love/hate regard for him. Yesterday, he posted this about the U.K.:

Having said this, has anyone else noticed that CTV Comedy Channel (formerly The Comedy Network) is choosing not to run clips of that episode in the trailer they air that promotes The Daily Show, despite the fact that it is Canadian content and that they have run trailers in the past from that show that did feature Trudeau but only in a flattering way?
No doubt that if the blackface scandal was about Sheer that the CTV crew would be showing those clips in the trailer and doing so throughout the election campaign.
On a somewhat related note, why has CTV chosen to produce a show called The Social that is a copy of The View but without a token conservative on the panel, someone like an Adrian’s Batra for example (an intelligent and insightful media woman who lives in Toronto where the show is taped), there to provide a decenting point of view on topics of a political nature, countering the unchallenged narratives from the four left wing progressive women who make up the show’s panel? And what does the combination of the two – the trudeau blackface trailer that doesn’t exist because they refuse to create it – say about CTV and their claims of neutrality? I’m sure if CTV would offer her a contract she would gladly accept.
And of course, a CTV reporter last week caught acting as a shill for a Liberal cabinet minister.
And just for good measure, it’s worth pointing out that Trudeau’s top adviser, Ben Chin, is a former newsman at CTV.

I have just returned from a business trip to a Balkan country (yes, I flew there, thank you), where there were ads selling passports issued by the country for much less than it costs to buy a home in California—in front of the Parliament building no less.
For that money you get to live in a country with both a much lower cost of living and a refreshingly rational attitude towards the wretched of the earth—as well as towards feral cats and dogs (the ones that cannot be exported are routinely poisoned).
I may take them up on it in a few years.

Where do you think the Supremes come from who invent rights and title and “create” Indian land for a people who hadn’t invented a word meaning property. We’ve been on the slippery slope of increasing judicial inspired reverse apartheid since NDP Premier Harcourt intentionally lost the appeal of BC Chief Justice McEachern’s ruling that concluded that rights and title were extinguished long ago and that BC was free to negotiate but not legally required to. The real craziness was that Indians are federal responsibility under the constitution and the province only had to sit tight on all its constitutionally deemed resources and land and if the feds wanted to negotiate a treaty they could bring cash for the provincial land. The B. C. provincial government is slowly giving the province back to the natives. One example is that the Queen Charlotte Islands no longer go by that name, at least officially.
I grew up in NE B. C. When I moved away more than 40 years ago, the town I was in was largely white with a few natives. Now that I’m there on a regular basis while I settle my father’s estate, I’ve noticed that the downtown area now has several offices for certain native groups.
