      1. It’s actually a quasi-fatal excess of social-justice-fuelled righteousness. “We’re in the RIGHT here – and there’s nothing YOU can do about it!!!” Apparently she was mistaken about that.

My only wonder is why this doesn’t happen a whole lot more often?

  1. There are farmers in Australia daft enough to raise rabbits?

If I were king there, I would have those idiots shot with the vegan—and the rabbits.

  2. I’d sit on that jury…

*not certain that raising rabbits is the point with this. All people raising animals are on someone’s list.
*I’d be very concerned with being charged with the full gamut of “unsafe gun handling laws”.

  3. Wait till she learns the farmer wasn’t aiming at her, but was just firing a WARNING shot. And learn she gets ONE warning shot. ONE.

    1. – I’d even be prepared to suggest it worked. I doubt she’ll try that gamut again – and I also suspect the farmer is going out tomorrow to buy a dog. The night-vision-equipped spec-ops teams in Iraq and Afghanistan all feared village dogs; they were virtually impossible to sneak-up on, and the insurgents have played the game long enough to know what the village dogs going strange at 2 AM means.

  4. The bank robber rescued depositors’ funds.
The B&E artist rescued homeowners’ possessions.
The DeMarxists rescued their power from democracy and deplorable voters.
They are not to be opposed because their intention are noble, actually self-serving, but you get the point; shut up racist.
Socialists didn’t build that. They must steal, I mean rescue it.

    1. So the RCMP facilitated a break, enter and theft? Between this incident and High River we need to seriously ask who’s side are they on?

      Brutal.

  5. rumor has it that the “vegan” activists managed to rescue 12 to 16 cute bunnys at the mere cost of a 100 rabbits’ lives.

  6. I can’t believe it…..a media panel siding with common sense?
Makes Aussieland look pretty good. Remember the media uproar in Canuckistan when some FN kids tried to “rescue” some property from a Sask. farm?

  7. I’ve never had rabbit. Now I shall make a point of having rabbit as a direct response to criminal animal activists.
    In fact, I’ll have two.

  8. In my part of the world, rabbit thieves are considered double vermin. First , they take something that does not belong to them and then they deprive you of the sustenance of the food you grew. If a coyote does it, I shoot them dead. Why should I treat any other marauder different than that?

  9. Unfortunately, in Canada it is illegal to defend your property with a firearm. Had that happened here, the farmer would be charged with a serious crime (attempted murder?) and be liable for damages from the vegans.

    1. Enlighten me.
It seems to me this was a clear case of a burglar caught red-handed with the loot.
In Canada, can you point a rifle at her and command her to halt? And if she refuses, but tries to run away with the loot, can you then shoot her? If not, then you have no right to keeping your property. (If you have a shotgun and are squeamish, you can shoot at her legs to stop her from running away. But if you have a rifle, the chances of hitting her legs is much worse than hitting her body.)
I live in Californstan, and I don’t think the laws are that stupid even here.
P.S. Kate, something is wrong with your post. The site reloads with just the header, but no post. I had to be really quick to catch the link.

        1. Bruin, he’s correct – and pointing a firearm at somebody without lawful excuse is good for two years. And of course, the judge will decide what a “lawful excuse” is; and they have a history of deciding the wrong way. Even if they back your side of the complaint, you’re still looking at two years’ worth of trials and many thousand dollars’ worth of legal bills.

Self-defence-wise- if she didn’t try to openly murder you, you’ll be jailed for shooting at her every time. And be fair, here – the poor dear was hungry and stressed-out, and just wanted your stuff to feed her habit. No point even calling the cops; they won’t come.

      1. Our youngest brother was a gun enthusiast. His idea of a vacation was to attend the Lethal Force Institute in either Vermont or New Hampshire back in 1984. I remember him detailing how to stop a criminal without killing them and so be on the hook for manslaughter or murder. You aimed for the center of their body OR even better, you aimed for their pelvis. That would knock them flat so you could call the police. The Lethal Force Institute had many doctors and dentists attending in 1984 because so many of them were under attack by criminals looking for drugs.

    1. “50 acres and a back”

Cops have a new weapon in their arsenal. They can track the GPS on the phone of the bad person and find his route on the day he disappeared. The route which wound its way through your yard.

  10. The police definitely should have been involved. Why wasn’t that woman arrested after admitting to her crimes.

    1. Wrong. The proper response is that the vegan simply disappears, and no one ever saw anyone around here. Don’t call the cops, don’t complain, just shoot, shovel, and shut up.

Do you think either of the Pickton brothers would be interested in taking a vegan looter off your hands?

Until it is clearly dangerous, with a very high probability of it ending badly, it won’t stop.

Right now, it is safe, and hasn’t ended badly for anyone in any country where it has been going on.

    2. It’s the same mechanism on display with antifa; they get to go out, party with their friends, burn cars, beat up anyone they want, and nothing bad ever happens to them. Why wouldn’t they?

  11. A few things.

Did anyone get the impression that the blood on her face was merely smeared on. It did not look like a wound to me.

How do you prove who actually shot at her if anyone actually did.

I would not discount a false flag operation from these loons.

  12. “…vegan activist claims she was chased & shot at by angry farmers….”

Sure. Like Hillary ducking fire in Bosnia.
