I saw the most curious Tweet on Saturday morning.

It’s by Lisa Raitt, the deputy leader of the Conservative Party, and also the party’s Justice Critics. So, she’s number two after party leader Andrew Scheer.

It said:

Well I’ve learned my lesson in tweeting anything about climate change. I’m going to be transparent & let you know I’m deleting the earlier tweets. I’m not the one to fight with on this because like most I believe that emissions cause climate change and we should reduce emissions
Over 1,200 people replied to this tweet. A few hundred retweeted it, and nearly 2,000 liked it. It got a lot of attention.

But so did her original tweets, the ones she clearly felt pressure into deleting.

What were they about?

Well, Raitt had tweeted a few mild statements about climate change, like this one:

“Bottom line is there’s no solid connection between climate change and the major indicators or extreme weather, despite Trudeau’s claims to the contrary. The continual claim of such a link is misinformation employed for political and rhetorical purposes”

I was reading a “comments” thread in the left-wing Globe and Mail this morning (Tuesday morning). The G&M’s comments thread are often a good read, whereby roughly 2/3 of the comments are conservative and often articulate.

Anyways, two commenters posted the two different versions of the above Trudeau mumbling in a thread, and the thought struck me that the establishment media would never publish Trudeau’s illiterate speech habits. And this has been going on for four years. He has been goofily mumbling and stammering for years now, but the corrupt Ottawa press corps, abetted by the corrupt news editors backing them up, always censor the stammering videos. MP Michelle Rempel is astute enough to use social media to get the video into the public domain — and a few conservative blogs like SDA are skilled enough to pass the video around — but the corrupt establishment media hold fast to their censorship practices.

There are two media groups in Canada. The paid-and-bought-for media cartel, and the underground social media.

It is incredibly embarrasing to have him as our Canadian <pm on the world stage.

He just does not get it. Carbon tax?? we need carbon dioxide to live. Has he heard of photosynthesis?? As a country, Canada absorbs more carbon than we produce. If we eliminated 100% cardon it would do NOTHING for global warming. The carbon tax is just a useless money grab for a money hungry government. Plastics?? proper use of plastics has to be a global program. What the liberals are doing will accomplish nothing resolve a global problem. Why should Canadian taxpayers take the hit for no results. It’s insanity!!!
