“Psst! Wanna buy a box of straws? Getcher sixty piece picnic cutlery here!”
Ottawa to ban single-use plastics as early as 2021: government source. Plastic straws, drink stirrers, plates, cutlery, plastic bags all on the list. PM, environment minister to announce plan in separate locations on Monday. https://t.co/Y3fLJNKEnm

Fragging wing-nuts.

Mail your dog poop in paper bags to your MP.
If your MP is the CrimeMinister Trudeau, you’re already on team “mail your poop”.
If your life depends on disposable plastic wrap for medical devices, mail those, separately…
Noooooo. Not paper bags.
The trees. The TREES.
We must save the trees.
Indeed. For those of us that remember that far back, it was all about SAVING THE TREES!!! All that this insipid policy does, is turn back to more paper and cardboard usage than ever.
This policy though, is all about more virtue Signalling. Canada is not a polluter of plastic into the oceans, we bury it. Criticize that, fine, but when they use the ocean mess as the reason, they are straight out lying.
One insipid environutter on the tube last night said that customers should use steel utensils instead of plastic ones………dumb, dumb, dumb. Like the restaurant will give those away free or cheaply. The environuts do not care about the unintended consequences
Before the fork was invented, people used to carry knives around with them for eating with. It wouldn’t be a big deal if this became the fashion again, except that they tptb won’t want us doing that either.
Unless they be registered.
Carry a pocket knife every day. I have since I was in grade 1.
Trees were/are used to make paper bags. I have read, in a number of places, that to transport the same number of papers bags as plastic bags in trucks, takes between 55 and 60 as many MORE trucks. Plastic bags are really light weight, paper bags are very heavy compared to plastic bags. All those evil fossil fuels will be used massively more, and many, many more EVVILL green house gases will be created.
But, TrueDOPE is SAVING THE PLANET, so the peasants will have to carry the cost in increased cost of food and everything else that is transported.
We have a single use PM…
Will plastic Climate Barbies be banned?
So lets see, we have kidnapped Canadians in communist China, a trade attack by that country, we have international organizations investigating us for genocide, we have pissed off every country on the planet, and Justin is worried about plastic straws. Maybe his loyal drooling UNIFOR journalists can ask him why he burned jet fuel to Montreal to announce the ban. Or his constant burning of jet fuel across Canada and the planet.
The Grits aint gonna have no 2021…
I would be in favor of all vendors discriminately refusing to sell plastics of any kind to Liberal party members for a period of one month. In that way, Liberals get an opportunity to experience the world that they are choosing to create.
This could be good. I look forward to junior and his band of incompetents annoying people with pointless restrictions. Added bonus – every announcement and appearance will be dripping with contempt for the average voter.
I say we should ban all plastic guns.
I believe it was a previous Liberal, know it all government that banned paper grocery bags in favor of plastic because it would save the trees. Now this Liberal government goes full idiot and reverses a previous Liberal save the planet initiative. God help us all.
Just marvelous, more government screwing up people’s lives. When will we grow a pair and start kicking these people in the ass not just out of office? Off topic, I was doing a search for conservative blogs and what to my surprise did if find, more left wing blogs under the search parameters than conservative blogs. This country is screwed.
Canada’s biggest requirement is for an awake electorate that listens, remembers, holds ’em to their word and administers electoral drubbings for (among other sins) splattering us with bravo-sierra “We must act NOW, to SAAAAAVE er, whatever…” pabulum on the latest political hot-potato, and how well they walk their pre-election talk. Problem being, neither our ruling classes nor our media want us to remember this stuff; and when you get the Prime Minister shovelling $600 million into their pockets in an election year, the Press’s patchy memory is hardly surprising.
And we, having our own lives to live and stumbling home dog-tired after a day at work, rely on the media (or at least, we used to) for remembering this; guess we’ll have to start doing this ourselves, maybe with a little help from Kate and her “Now is the time we JUXTAPOSE!”
To illustrate that the message is getting out, I saw a delightful item this weekend on Yahoo News; they reprinted a CBC story that ‘Trudeau is not really a tax-and-spender’. The comments on Yahoo were universally savage, with the two most prominent memes being “reduce the Liberals to non-Party status in October!” and “defund the CBC!” Yahoo News is somewhat to the left of Karl Marx, pimps CAGW and LOVES Trudeau; I can’t provide the URL for the article as it appears to have removed – imagine that. I looked it up on CBC and the comments there are much more Trudeau-centric – shocked, I tell ya… -_-
– Oh and, re: your “more Liberal than Conservative blogs in the search engines”? The Search engines do this deliberately, they’re paid by Soros to hawk Liberal views – Google is notorious for it. Try Duckduckgo for your search engine.
Google knows what you should be reading.
“Psst! Wanna by a box of straws?
Shouldn’t that be “buy” rather than by.
With Kate away the place is falling apart.
Was it Trump who said for every new regulation he would cancel two? We need that in Canada.
BTW in many industries everything is single use. Such as fast-food packaging. How can you serve food without plastic? Is Styrofoam considered a single use plastic and if not why not? How about the Tim Horton’s coffee cups – single use and not generally recyclable. My coffee beans come in single use bags. My yogurt in plastic (non-reusable) plastic. My bread in a plastic bag. All our vegetables. All our meat (with their own plastic diapers).
This law is not supposed to come into effect until 2021. Morons.
Do keep in mind that this is a promise by Trudeau, not a policy; he only intends to do it if he wins re-election, so this is one of his plays to court the growing Green vote and get them back to the Liberal camp.
Still. A policy like this is going to HURT. It’s going to show up in the cost of food, and I suspect it’ll be much a bigger impact there than what the government’s going to sell. Food is priced in stores the way it is because so much of it is packaged in plastic – clean, sterile plastic. It extends shelf life and reduces spoilage. Take those factors away from stores and now ALL food that gets packaged in plastic gets a price spike. It no longer lasts as long, more of it spoils, so the margins on it shift and stores MUST raise the price to account for the new reality.
And then you’ll get the brain-dead protesters screaming, “But they’re just gouging us! They shouldn’t be ALLOWED to raise those prices! They’re using the loss of plastic as an EXCUSE!” Unfortunately this government is stupid enough to listen and just might even be stupid enough to try some kind of price control / subsidy. Which is its own road to hell.
Europe might – stress, MIGHT – be able to get away with this stunt because they’re a large enough market for businesses to have to adapt. But puny little Canada, sitting next to the USA that will laugh at such foolishness? No sir. Wouldn’t surprise me to see a number of businesses just pack up & leave; it won’t be worth the bother to deal with us when they can make all the money they want in the USA instead.
Never mind the likely increase in food-based pathogens from poorer packaging, too.
Oh, this government. This country, this civilization. The eco-hippies will have us back in the 18th century yet. They’re just not going to stop until they do.
Baby diapers – single use plastic on the outside, single use absorbent material on the inside. We may have to ban infants – at least from restaurants.
They’ll force us all back to cloth diapers. Which of course probably drives up energy use in any home with a baby because they’ll be running the washer & dryer so much more often. Then they’ll whine & kvetch that energy use has gone up too much. It’ll just never end.
Oh goody, another feature of a Trudeau government, higher inflation as government policy.
Its 1982 all over again.
Actually one of the main fast food vendors: McDonalds prviously used Styrofoam…they now use what they always did prior, recycled cardboard and paper wrap. I give them kudo’s for doing so.
If PM Dipshit truly wants to reduce Plastics use..?
He needs to look at a few of the larger purveyors of PLASTIC Clam-shell packaging ….Costco, WallMart, Best Buy etc. They are some of the majors who go completely nuts with this shit. I’m sure though they’re huge Liberal Donars.
As for plastic shopping bags, we reuse em for whatever..dog shit if need be.
But Straws..? Seriously.?
This is all coming from that stupid Climate Nazi McKenna
They will have to pry the zip-lock plastic bags from my cold, frozen, freezer compartment! The day before such a ban, I will buy a shipping container sized order of zip lock bags!
I once inquired at Costco as to why the huge plastic clam shell packaging and the answer was simple. Shoplifting was the reason.
So, Trudeau should ban shoplifting.
I’ll be glad to see the end of blister packs.
– You actually think they’ll make us stop using them???
Canada is small potatoes in the global market; we could pass whatever law we wanted on the subject, and the rest of the world will just laugh at us. Blister packs and all the rest of the single-use plastics are here to stay; and besides, I get the feeling that banning them is not really what the lib’s intend. No, they’ll just slap a new enviro-tax on the manufacturers – and the manufacturers, true-to-form, will pass the price increases on to we the consumers, as they always do.
Trudeau gotta’ fund his telethons after all, and for everybody else, BOHICA as always. We really need to vote him out.
I should have added a to that comment because I agree with you completely as to what will happen…after all this is the government that has brought back “indulgences” from medieval time (in the form of a carbon tax)
Quebec “cheese” in a plastic wrapper
Ontario milk in a plastic bag (still a thang?)
Motor oil
Toothpaste
Cigarettes
Booze
Garbage
Auto interiors
Yada yada
So much for the single use syringe. But I’m sure that won’t have any effect on drug users spreading diseases, or in hospital infections.
Any diabetics have any comments on this?
Yes … my LAST plastic syringe will inject these idiots with a fatal dose of insulin.
dont forget to claim you thought it was in their best interests, that they needed it . . . .
ie using leftist logic.
More nonsense from the incompetents.
I’m certainly not looking forward to non-plastic bags for my urinary stoma. Going to be a bit messy.
…and, without irony or self-reflection, Trudeau and his Liberal MPs will fly all over Canada and rest of the world to share the good news about their heroic efforts to save the world from unnecessary pollution and over consumption of resources. If there was an international award for useless gestures and expensive symbolism, the Trudeau Liberals would be the hands-down winners. Is there any left wing trend or fad they don’t persue, cost and effectiveness be damned?
Having the intellectual depth of a finger bowl certainly rings true for Trudeau and his government and his media support team.
Besides does Trudeau, as the leader of a political party who was in power for two thirds of of Canada’s genocidal history, have any moral authority on any issue? Saskatchewan and Alberta should quickly disassociate ourselves from the shameful, racist, sexist, genocidal country of Canada. According to Trudeau and the Liberal Party, Canada is a vile, abhorrent country like WW2 Germany and Rwanda. How embarrassing is it becoming to say you’re Canadian. One more good reason to separate – to sever our associations with a genocidal state. /s
They will have to cut his roast beef with a real knife and serve him with real china with an authentic wine glass. That will teach him.
As long as the beef isn’t sourced from Alberta. Trudeau hates everything from Alberta.
“So lets see, we have kidnapped Canadians in communist China, a trade attack by that country….”
Yup, and to add to what Ontario John said about our pathetic federal government, we have a Leader of the Opposition too devoid of guts and spine to properly take turdo to task for his cowardice on the Chi-com file.
And in Ontario, the Great Yellow Hope takes yet another page from the McGuinty/Wynne playbook and kicks the debt farther down the road for our children and grandchildren to deal with.

Well how does Canada avoid the Liability for 20 years of collecting plastics & then paying third world Countries to Dump them in the Ocean… Even the Stupidest lawyer would understand that third world Counties don’t have superior (than Canada) technologies to recycle the Plastics that safely belong in a Clay Landfill…(They dump in the Ocean and/or burn)…. In 150 Years Superconductivity will make it economically easy to dig-up & recycle plastics from the Landfill mines…Stupid is as stupid does
BTW: How will the CBC, who have convinced low expectation Canadians that they may only expect to achieve a partisapation Award…..Explain the “National pride” of winning the NBA?…CBC will never be able to put that back in the communist bottle….
“collecting plastics & then paying third world Countries to Dump them in the Ocean”
It’s the gesture or virtue signal that counts. From its inception the blue box recycling program has been a costly exercise in futility. Exactly as you state we’re paying poorer nations to take our plastics where they promptly fire it into their rivers and eventually the world’s oceans.
Well, not exactly futility.
It’s been good obedience and regimentation training for the serfs.
But true, virtue-signaling pure and simple.
“It’s been good obedience and regimentation training for the serfs.”
Exactly. The U.N. is grooming herd animals.
“We the North” … enough said (in Ebonics)
You think the Sask Party is any saner? Canada is a failed state, and everyone voted for it. Always more programs, more spending, more government; no one ever voted for, demanded, less.
Every election, 100,000 pet projects get voted on. 2 or 3 get chosen. No pet project in the history of government has ever come to an end.
“I believe there are more instances of the abridgement of freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments by those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations.” ~ James Madison
I’m a ratepayer in Calgary. My Property tax bill went up 30% yr to yr….K..? 30% Why..Cause that Fat purple POS Nenshi and his cabal of Progressive Faggots have zero balls to do what is necessary – CUT MUNICIPAL WAGES / BENEFITS by a MIN of 20%.
At all levels of Govt in this country: We the taxpayer are held Hostage by FKN PUBLIC SERVICE Unions who seem to hold the power of life and death over Govt’s:
Municipal to Federal.
At NO time in my life when spending has gone ballistic, which is seemingly All the time, have I see ANY one of these Rotten COMMUNIST organizations taken down a notch or two.
They require to be fully DE – CERTIFIED – Country WIDE & their leaders Jailed for Sedition
Wages Cut by 20%
Benefits reduced by 20%
Don’t like it..? then ADIOS – there’s plenty out there who will gladly take your bs job.
Maybe….just maybe we might be able to get our collective financial house in order. If we dont, we WILL go the way of GREECE.
As a drastic cost-cutting method, a company I worked for fired all of its management staff and then forced them to rebid new positions…but there were fewer jobs available. A cutthroat version of corporate musical chairs. It was a brutal, necessary purge and there certainly were some negative aspects but it also was relatively quick like ripping off a bandage. There were no negative effects on front line staff or customers because middle and upper management tends have lots of unnecessary bloat.
Green communists should be embarrassed as we all know what they are.
Actual quote from the presser:
Question: “Mr. Prime Minister, what are you and your family doing to reduce your single use plastic use?”
Response: “Um, erh, uh, well – we’re um uh well water bottles we’re um”
Reporter: “Could you clarify?”
Response: “We’re um erh uh well its you know those um drinking boxes of water unh um er well we’re using cardboard boxes umhe err instead of um water bottles.”
This moron is so clueless that he thinks switching from water bottles to water boxes matters. Someone should show him how to use a tap. I assume princess Sophie runs his bath for him.
The Chinese and Indians throw all their garbage in rivers and it ends up in the ocean. So we get a ban on plastics. Is that his mothers stupidity or her mental illness coming out in him?
“Is that his mothers stupidity or her mental illness coming out in him?”
Maggie’s stupidity came out when she birthed him. Pierre’s stupidity came out when he married Maggie.
Over here in backwards New Brunswick, the local governments haven’t as yet gotten around to banning evil-incarnate plastic bags. So my wife and I still collect them after shopping, to be used to clean up poop from our black Labrador Wonka. So the question is, what does one do as far as poop-and-scoop, once our caring federal government bans the bags? Everybody says one can buy plastic brown bags for dogs, those tiny brown bags for sale at Dollarama. But they are tiny — so small they barely can hold our dog’s poop. He is 95 pounds.
The fall election? The federal contest will bring in a Liberal-NDP-Green coalition government. Justin Trudeau will still be prime minister, but I expect Elizabeth May and Jagmeet Singh will be co-Deputy Prime Ministers. The three will come down hard on plastics, one would think.
Not just plastics. They will come down hard on EVERYTHING. They will give it to Canadians good and hard. Just what they deserve. Faster, Faster!
These idiots must demonstrate the damage, quickly, that their policies will cause. They are economic idiots, let them loose, so that their ideologies can be revealed for how stupid they are.
Massive carbon taxes, 40 cent dollar, the death of the oil industry, no more dams, banning of ICE vehicles, massive, massive deficits to build windmills.
These people are dumb as trees (sorry trees). And yes, Canadians are stupid. Haven’t had a real hard recession since the 80s. It’s long overdue! These brainiacs will bring it on.
I fear you may be right. The outcome is either a Conservative majority – which for various reasons I tend to think unlikely – or some multi-headed coalition monster with Trudeau still on top. There’s no path to power for a Conservative minority, no matter how close to 170 seats they are. If Scheer doesn’t have 170+ on election night, he loses and Trudeau wins, and the country continues its descent into the leftist sewer. Plain & simple.
“The fall election? The federal contest will bring in a Liberal-NDP-Green coalition government…”
That’s what I’d bet on, David. It’ll give those who support the 4 stooges (trudo, jagmeet, Bucky May, and Miss Dairy Queen) a quick immersion into their future.
There’s a bit of solace just knowing that I’ll ride it out a lot better than them.
“The fall election? The federal contest will bring in a Liberal-NDP-Green coalition government”
If you happen to be a western prairie separatist then a Liberal-NDP-Green coalition government is really good news. It dramatically increases the favorable conditions needed for successful separation referendums in Alberta and Saskatchewan. As will C69, C48 and federal carbon taxes, all of which I assume will be upheld by the Supreme Court of Canada since they function as a rubber stamp for progressive politics and as a brick wall for conservative and libertarian legislation.
I noticed that they didn’t release a list of products they wanted to ban just yet.
In spite of the nagging feeling that this has more to do with polls indicating the green party gaining and therefore splitting the progressive votes, let us try a little thought experiment.
Who is the major user of these “single use plastics”?
Where are the majority of them located?
Do these locations coincide with the majority of liberal held seats?
So I’m going to go out on a limb here, but I would suggest that the best way to give this plan some of that SDA “help” would be to contact your liberal mp and let them know that because this is such a crisis and the Sockmonkey wants to make this the hill he wants to die …. er I mean, his signature legacy, then they need to do it now.
They need to get what they asked for (not want they believe they will get).
If you want to pour some salt on the wound remind them that when Harper put the BPA ban in place he didn’t wait, he was ready right now.
Dear Someones Kid. You will be dead and gone saponified into a wet stain in the casket and the planet will be just fine.
A perfect policy for a single-use Prime Minister.
This is a publicity stunt to gain votes from the gullible, and if carried to its logical conclusion would create chaos in most commerce.
This is not 1952. There are thousands of different products packaged in single use plastic. Just imagine going back to jelly beans in a glass counter barrel.
“I still collect them after shopping, to be used to clean up poop from our black Labrador Wonka.”
My wife found a way to get rid of the Cat’s plastic bagged poop… The Racoons raid the garbage cans and eat everything… They haven’t learned how to separate plastic from poop! Bad breath beasts
Single use plastic is not an environmentally friendly idea. But lets face it, until we get rid of garbage, we need single use plastic bags. We compost and recycle but still about 40% of our “garbage” goes into a white garbage bag. Those white garbage bags go into a bigger green garbage bag, a few of which go to the curb once every 2 weeks. I would like our Prime Minister to tell us how we would take out the garbage (other than electing another party in October) if single use plastic is banned.
Plastic wrap, plastic freezer bags, paper cups with plastic inner linings, shrink wrap on virtually everything sold in stores, plastic containers for pop, milk, orange juice. I’m thinking someone hasn’t thought this through.
On a positive note wine is sold in glass bottles. That would make me very environmentally conscious.
Also noting that compost bags are plastic and single-use….
I think those bags are biodegradable. The kitchen composting ones.
Do they biodegrade into micro-plastic?
Captain Planet has another great idea.
https://www.liveleak.com/view?t=CAmcN_1559637790
This is the continuing progressive war against the use of hydrocarbons. They have a duty to ween their addicted citizenry from the convenience and health benefits that plastics have brought to mankind. In Dec 2017 the UN’s Environment Assembly agreed on a resolution to reduce marine waste. It’s estimated that about 90% of waste plastic in the Oceans originates from only 10 river systems – 8 in Asia and 2 in Africa. In India disposable plastics were banned in Delhi about two years ago and non-biodegradable plastics were banned in many states. What North America contributes to the Ocean plastic problem isn’t explicitly stated so it appears to be a very minor contributor. But of course that’s besides the point, right? We must virtue signal to the rest of the World how it’s done by fixing what’s not a widespread issue here by globally banning it. Joining lockstep with our brother and sister comrades. Merely fixing the plastic waste problem through recycling and incineration only encourages more hydrocarbon use…which to any self-respecting eco-warrior is bad.
With plastic production expected to increase by 40% (?sources?) Greenpeace has a “Break Free From Plastic” movement well under way. There’s stories that identify the worst polluters (Coca-Cola, PepsiCo & Nestle for example). This action has been planned and coordinated years in advance. Now the eco-justice warriors are storming the beaches seeking to control the products people use in their daily lives negative consequences be damned. All we need to know is that they’re doing it for the right reasons and that we, the great trash creating unwashed, need to be taught a lesson. The kind of lesson our Cuba dictator loving substitute drama teacher in Ottawa loves to teach.
The increase in disease from food-borne microbes will be a real pleasant side effect – NOT!!!
My only quibble would be the fact that we are shipping our plastic overseas to be “recycled” and how much of that is being dumped into the oceans through one of those 10 river systems. This may explain why China stopped accepting our plastic waste. Much of it cannot be recycled.
I would suggest that the amount of plastic consumed is proportional to GDP. America probably uses most of the plastic in the world. Where does it all go?
Plastic can be incinerated to create energy (its even more energy dense than coal). China has more than 300 “waste-to-energy” plants operating with another couple of hundred being built. The EU apparently burns about 42% of its waste and the U.S. burns 12.5%. Greenpeace isn’t happy that incineration is being pushed as an “easy alternative” but it does work and can generate enough heat to run electricity generation. It’s not cheap and environmentalists would prefer recycling but modern plants can employ tech like scrubbers, precipitators and filters to remove what are already low levels of harmful emissions from the process. So it’s not like there’s no decent alternative to the kneejerk leftwing response of banning.
Do we have any of those in Canada? Sounds like a good idea to me. I get annoyed with excessive plastic packaging. Hard to dispose of and often hard to open.
Funny you should mention it but there was a Calgary Company called “Alter NRG” that was big into plasma gasification technology but was purchased by a Chinese Company called “Sunshine Kaidi Energy Group” in March of 2015. Alter NRG was one of the leaders in the field and had a number of large projects proposed for using their technology – some for converting garbage into energy and some for converting coal into hydrocarbon liquids like diesel with the stripped off CO2 being pipelined for use for tertiary oil recovery (i.e. Fox Creek coal with CO2 being used in the massive Pembina Cardium oil field). Any wonder on what technology the Chinese are now using for new waste-to-energy facilities now?

Liberals won’t be in power in 2021………
It will be interesting to see what material the Liberals, NDP and Greens use for their election signs.
I’m more curious on what they plan to wipe their arses with, once they ban anything useful or hygenic. Seriously.
So what.
I don’t care.
I will order my cutlery and Ziploc bags and saran wrap off the next in bulk.
In fact, I am going to place an order right now.
Cheaper anyway.
Like I don’t carry enough crap around. I’ve got to carry a spork and (gasp) knife.
Whomever said it’s like prison around here is pretty close to the mark.
I’d keister my polymer supply but I have a tax person lodged up there already.
I live in Calgary and have never tossed a plastic straw into the ocean. If my straw ends up in the ocean, find the person, group, company responsible and hold them accountable. Also, most plastic in the oceans comes from sources in Africa and Asia.
This only shines a light on the insanity of recycling. We’ve been told to reduce, reuse, recycle for years, but now are finding out (some of us have known all along) how wasteful, expensive and environmentally unfriendly it is. Much of what is recycled isn’t worth it, and diesel trucks driving around day after day picking up the crap is actual pollution. I propose a new mantra for dealing with waste.
Bin it, burn it, bury it.
If it has value (aluminum cans) throw it in the recycling bin.
If it is made from a renewable resource (from trees) or is worthless, burn it for energy.
If it is too expensive to recycle (most plastic) , bury it. If we need the material in the future we know where it is to dig it up.
I only wish there was a politician that would stand up and tell people they are being had.
“I only wish there was a politician that would stand up and tell people they are being had.”
There’s only one. Max.
But not this guy:
♫ Oh where, oh where has Andy Scheer gone
Or where, oh where can he be
With his spine sucked out, and his balls all gone
Oh where, oh where can he be ♫
Bravo.
I live in Calgary. We “store” plastic blister packs in hi-way trailers on some “connected” City soul’s property, at great cost ’cause there’s a bit o tape left on it that isn’t recyclable. To date some 300 Hi-way trailers are “rented” for this storage. The level of stoopidity in our elected folks is mind numbing.
You’re welcome.
https://calgarysun.com/news/local-news/city-spending-300k-a-year-to-store-unwanted-blue-cart-plastics-raises-ire/wcm/53564638-ca67-4ea7-ac99-d04ce7757aff
So are we supposed to reuse condoms now? Turn them inside out or something?
What’s a condom?
Before you start reusing your plastic condoms try using ones made from latex. They stretch (an important property of condoms).
Thanks, you really are sharper than a cue ball.
I have a nasty feeling they’re also petroleum-based.
Just heard on radio Trudope trying to answer the question as to how his family were going to move away from using plastic. After fumbling and bumbling for words he came out his family will move to uhh…paper…uhh…drink box…uhh…kind of containers. What a bozo he is and an absolute embarrassment to the entire country. Let me image a future picnic in the park “caveman” style fight over the food and eat with our hands……..excuse me while I pause to have a drink from my paper drink bottle, oh damn it leaked all over my keyboard and desk.
Well, in all fairness to Trudeau, it’s a question he’s never given any thought to – and why should he? All these laws he’s passing are for US, not HIM – and he’s Prime Minister*, he can do what he wants.
* – for another couple of months, anyways…
What a shi-4-brian……..the drink boxes are LINED WITH F/N PLASTIC!
The Liberals, and progressives in general, are literally just grasping at straws!
Ha! I agree!

I agree, “Waste to Energy” is the only way to go!
This topic is not an issue for rural folks. They, mostly, just burn their trash. Problem solved.
For City folks, it’s another thing….recalling days gone by…
people went (walked) to the tiniest of grocery stores and bought their a few provisions for meals as needed. Now, it’s the era of ‘Big Grocer’ everywhere, and ‘Big Junk Food Pit Stops’.
If anything, it was ‘Trashman’ who had the worst job in town. The job was hard on their backs, lifting all that trash into the garbage truck. City Managers went through people in great numbers. This is probably why the governments of today have to rethink, if that’s possible for them, about constantly revising issues about taxpayer’s trash: it is because of LAWSUITS. Personnel with back problems won’t stay on the job long enough to collect their precious ‘pensions’.
So, you see, it’s not about plastic everything but it’s about just the plastic STRAWS! They ruin everything! They clog up garbage trucks. They are a big menace and delay the work at hand.
So, governments demonize everything we use…. just because of the freaking plastic STRAWS!
Let’s see, we are banning single use plastics because the two great eco-cities,Vancouver and Montreal, dump their plastic in rivers where it is transported to the ocean.
It is their sh, sh, sh, oh nevermind, sir, with all due respect, you know what we mean.
What you mean to say is that you can’t actually see the plastic because it’s covered up by the shite they also dump in the ocean?
From the thrones …it was the flushed stuff!
Right, you can’t actually see the plastic.
It’s time to ban the exhibitionist from government.
Sadly there are way too many people that will keep him there.
Who you ‘gonna call?
And another thing about plastic.
This guy had some ideas about plastic.

Eco-Stupidity is spreading form of liberal stupidity now we have idiots blocking Cruise Ships all over this Global Warming/Climate Change nonsense
