    1. You’re not allowed to take your restricted registered firearms boating.

      1. You are if you’re transporting them to your cabin for the summer. Come on get creative here.

        1. Are you? Maybe I am wrong, but they stay in a secure place at your registered address unless you’re transporting them to a range, point of sale or service or to a new registered address (i.e. you’re legally moving). Unless I am mistaken there is no provision to take your restricted firearms with you to your cottage. With C-71, only trips to the range do not require ATT.

  1. I was awaiting a knife registry…you know butcher blocks are full of dangerous implements!

    Cheers

    1. The UK is banning the sale of all sorts of things, and of course the Japanese have had a registry for knives over a certain length and swords for a very long time.

Doesn’t stop guys from doing mass killing with knives in Japan of course, but it does make it look like the government is on the job and Doing Something.

  2. The UN/EU has a regulation on the curvature of Bananas… That is when you know the end is near.. 10K civil servant jobs open for Communists measuring bananas and quality control verification of Anal Thermometers…

  3. The EU made a pronouncement that carrots are fruit. Because they had regulated marmalade as being a preserve made of fruit, and then the Portuguese complained that would make it illegal for them to use the term marmalade for a traditional recipe of theirs that included carrots. If it weren’t for the EU bureaucracy, Europe wouldn’t need the EU bureacracy.

We are a species evolved in and for struggle. Without real problems to solve, we invent artificial ones, and now it seems that artificial problems can’t be solved like real ones because artificial problems have fake solutions.

But governments that can’t create real solutions to real problems prefer creating fake solutions, e.g. gun control, to both real and fake problems, because real solutions are hard work.

  4. Stupid article:

“Almost 9 out of every 10 (87%) gang-related homicides were committed with a firearm, usually a handgun.

An AR-15 is not a handgun, it is a rifle — one rarely used in gun crimes in Canada.”

F*** off, it does not matter if it is used in crime. Banning AR-15s isn’t any less or any more vile than banning handguns. Once you allow to restrict freedom because criminals, then you’ve already lost the argument.

    1. Such deceptive wording to … in the end … to “blame” the gun … not the criminal.

But the REAL reason there is a WAR on the AR-15 … is that it shoots the NATO round.
      https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/5.56%C3%9745mm_NATO
The same round as fired by your UN overlords. The same round that will be fired at you when the next Janet Reno of worldwide socialism comes for your property and Family. The worldwide socialists don’t want to face a round which will penetrate their helmets at 500yds.

  5. I am free, no matter what rules surround me.
If I find them tolerable, I tolerate them; if I find them too obnoxious, I break them.
I am free because I know that I alone am morally responsible for everything I do.

    1. – So if you are found with an unregistered AR-15, you’ll do a whole lot more jail time than an ethnic criminal who used one to rob people at gunpoint.

      Because reasons.

Welcome to Canada, Mr. Heinlein, and what? – you say you’re leaving? Immediately? I’m appalled, but not really surprised…

  6. Start demanding the end to all police protection of all politicians and judges, leave them to the tooth and claw defense as they would you . The state snoops and spies on all its citizens in the PENAL COLONY. Start publishing lists of the home addresses of all politicians, all judges, all head of police departments. They are a danger, as great a danger to the citizen as any criminal. What is good enough for the citizen should be good enough for the Elite of the PENAL COLONY. There are no official records kept of the deaths of citizens at the hands of police in Canada. And they always investigate themselves. In 2017 here are some stats 65 citizens killed by police. This is by no means an accurate count, as they do not keep stats. Did any cops go to jail? Not likely. People need to stop glorifying cops. They do not have the most dangerous jobs in Canada actually they have fairly safe jobs. Every year around 1000 workers are killed on the job in Canada. Far far more than the cops. Cops are just tax collectors with guns now. They are not Peace Officers.

    1. From your linked article, 65 “killed by police” isn’t really honest.

“In terms of causes of death, by far the largest number of victims of police violence were shot to death. There were 29 people shot and killed by police in Canada. Next were in-custody deaths (for many of which specific causes were not given), a perhaps surprising number of 18. These only include police-custody deaths, not those under supervision of correctional officers. Five people died in police vehicle chases. Three were identified as “self-inflicted” (and some of these are, of course, contested by family and community members). One person died of a heart attack during a police encounter, and one was said by police to have died of “sudden death.” One young victim was killed in a hit-and-run by an officer suspected of DUI. Not all were directly killed by police; some died after interactions.”

      1. Like I said although you seemed to have missed it, not an accurate count as they keep no official records and investigate themselves. It could be much higher. In any case more citizens die at the hands of the police than are killed in Canada by terrorists each year. Not saying that police are not necessary but the police are a danger to the citizen, more so than terrorists are. Beware. Tax collectors with guns not hero’s.

  7. More have died because of Drunk Driving do we ban cars because of this? Liberals are such idiots

  8. Everybody wrings their hands, points and shrieks at school shootings in the States; but in the States, ten-times as many young adults die texting-while-driving, one every 11 days on-average.

Why isn’t Socks tabling a cellphone ban? Oh yeah – because it wouldn’t win him an election.

“If just ONE LIFE is saved…” It was pointed-out at the time in Ontario that pit-bulls had killed fewer people than the Minister who banned them. Maybe we should ban politicians?

    { – Yeah, I was originally gonna’ say “Maybe we should ban stupid politicians…” but that’s a pretty all-inclusive statement… – }

  9. Have Kenney or Moe used the words “separation” or “UDI” yet?

Yeah, that is what I thought.

Assume their goal is “keep Canada together”, and behave accordingly.

  10. The AR15 is the most popular sporting rifle in the US. Unfortunately it looks like an assault rifle but does not function like one.

    1. Yes but the term “assault rifle” – sturmgewehr – was literally coined by Hitler, so if you own one you are Hitler!!!

  11. Government restrictions on citizens and firearms has nothing to due with safety.

  12. Amazing that just after the 75th. anniversary of D-Day we have this discussion on banning fire arms. During the speeches I noticed the NZ prime minister at the podium spouting her words of thankfulness to the men who stormed the beaches in Normandy, and our own PM spouting his platitudes. None of these hypocrites were aware that the men who gave their all on those beaches were cut from the same die as the people that these politicians are now trying to prevent owning guns. If you raise a generation of wimps who are afraid of the very appearance of a gun then where do you go when we need the next generation to fight for our freedom? Oh….! My mistake, if the globalists get their way we won’t need freedom fighters and patriots, we’ll all be subjugated supplicants. Learn to bend the knee, touch the forelock, and bow the head or start fighting back because there is no other ending to what these leaders have planned. If you cannot see that then you should go back and read some history.

  13. FYI, you can buy all of the parts needed to assemble a very workable AR-15 from places like palmettostatearmory.com for around $400.

Assembly difficult? They’re like Legos for adults.

Just sayin’. Get them before they’re banned.

  14. Drone Delivery.
I wonder how customs Canada plans to prevent Drone Flights across the border?
Cause banning firearms in Canada will ensure a wonderful cross border opportunity.
Why just like prohibition made millionares out of some oldtime Canadian crooks.
Hell why even import the weapons systems, you could just contract the whole “shooting experience” out as well.

These “Assault Weapons”, where can I buy one and is it delivered via Unicorn?
I want a self directed, self loading, self aiming, free firing tool of infinite evil, (other than a Liberal I mean)where might these wonder weapons reside?
To think I can forget about that getting up before dawn, forget all that morning chill, wet dew, early frost and the sound of laughing moose…
When with one of these wonder weapons,as described by CBC,I could stay in bed, have a lazy breakfast then wander out and collect the mornings hunt.
    Every hunter should have one.
I wish we had some real journalists,I would love to see these Gun Grabbers answer that.
Or even one of these Do-gooders asked what they are calling an assault weapon?

  15. Off topic but for some reason I could not make any comment of the previous postings. I first noticed it on the Lost D Day Documentary. What’s up with that?

  16. Anyway, what I wanted to say about the D-Day Documentary is that at around the 17:13 minute mark, it shows a scene of a soldier getting a reassuring pat on the shoulder from the guy behind him just as they were disembarking from the troop boat onto Juno Beach. They were soldiers from the North Shore Regiment who were mostly New Brunswickers and a smattering from other provinces, in fact the soldier(recently identified as Herman Baker) getting the reassuring pat is depicted on a commemorative coin and he was from Nova Scotia. It is such a human moment. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/nova-scotia/coin-soldiers-military-wwii-d-day-royal-canadian-mint-1.4988054
