      Why did the SNC Lavalin affair get so much push from the establishment media. JWR is decidedly left-of-centre, and has all the identitarian boxes well checked. Mark Norman not so much. So because of the corporate media push, Justin Trudeau got stung. But not so much Mark Norman. He is a white, heterosexual male, in a wrong occupation (Defence), so the corporate media largely ignored his plight, giving Justin a free pass. And besides, the media establishment is starting to smell that $600-million kickback.

        2. Breaking…JWR has just announced that she us running as an independent in the next federal election.

          1. DM – JWR was a disaster as AG and Minister of Justice.
            She came off looking high minded and virtuos but she was anything of the sort.

            Best case scenario she runs as an independent. Siphons off librano votes and maybe win or split the vote.

          2. Both committing political suicide. They could have done some real damage to the Libs as Endie candidates. Instead, these two remain LOYAL to the LPC by running as Independents. Naive doesn’t even start to describe them.
            They must be deluded into thinking they can resurrect themselves as LPC candidates in the future after Trudy and his idiots are defeated. It’s the only thing that makes sense, their egos are so big, that they vastly overestimate their influence.

          3. Yes they are independently trying to win their second election on the coattails of their current popularity so they are desperately really trying first to get their Golden MP Pension.

            Second if they do win in October they can help support a leftist miniority government if need be and negotiate a position of power.

            Their constituents that they say they represent may come in third or fourth since their leftist ideals wins over their constituents.

          4. JWR is an enemy of Canada.

            She has an agenda that is inconsistent with the existant country. She cannot be trusted and the voters in the riding should weigh their options carefully. You are not getting what you think you are.

          5. If JWR and Philpott run as independents, then they might be able to run as Liberals in the future, should Justin lose the next election.

            They might even contest the next Liberal leadership convention.

    At least the first three-fourths of the article is good, up until when the author calls for vastly increased spending to help the new unemployed retrain. (After all, it is a Globe and Mail article).

    We should all be happily looking forward to a brave new world. Not only are the billionaire oligarchs working hand-in-glove with the federal Liberals and the U.S. Democratic Party — to sweep both back into power in the next elections — the oligarchs cracker-jack AI researchers are hard at work bringing in new technology to make middle-income Canadians and Americans unemployable. A one-party state, with unemployed people. And with open-borders taking in uncountable numbers of unskilled immigrants. This is what the billionaires are promising us.

  13. Anyone worried about the Ford government changing the Wynne sex ed curriculum need not worry. The United Church has come to the rescue with their own “Justice Sexuality” curriculum and is now teaching this in Sunday school. The curriculum starts with lessons for Kindergarten to Grade 1 and then continues to cover all of the bases. My goodness. Whatever happened to people going to Church to pray or to learn about Jesus?

  18. Trump is speaking from Yokosuka, Japan @ 11:30 am Japan time. He and Melania are surrounded by Marines aboard the USS WASP. The speech was for Memorial Day and would make anyone proud to have him as their President. His words were encouraging and he thanked them all for their service. The marines were cheering their President. Wow, what a beautiful speech!

    (Eat your heart out Democrats.)
