      I think she is just addressing an all-too-common Liberal talking point. They are the ones constantly conflating questioning the approach to immigration or expressing concerns about terrotism with racism and intolerance. Since most Conservatives are not racist, I do not think this is really shrinking the tent in any way. Painting Conservatives as anti- immigrant was an effective strategy used by Liberals in the last election. I hope it does not work again. I think Conservatives should not be defensive, but bat them back by pointing out their own divisive identity politics. Being loud and clear in insisting most Canadians want a fair and balanced immigration policy is an important message.

        First I believe the Elites prefer Trudeau but have a plan B named Andrew Scheer in place. In order to stop the rise of populism in Canada, they’ll easily allow Scheer/CPC to take power to ‘pacify’ people knowing people are fed up with Trudeau. Scheer/CPC will throw conservatives a few scraps here and there, but nothing that will truly save Canada.

        Look at how the CPC/Harper government did after the people were fed up with 13 years of Liberal government. Did Harper/CPC do any real lasting change to save Canada and prevent the global elite from continuing to control Canada? 2011 to 2015 they had a majority, what the hell did they do?

        Under Harper we got more globalism. Stephen Harper attended Bohemian Grove (source Colin Powell emails), he was never the radical leftist that Trudeau is but his orders are from the same people and still advanced the overall agenda for the elites. Harper chose Andrew Scheer as Speaker of the House, Scheer is his handpicked successor. Do the math, Scheer will be what Canada got from 2006 to 2015. He will advance the elitist agenda, just not as blatant/openly as Trudeau is. Once he fails to do any real change to Canada, I am sure the public will vote in more leftists.

        Congrats to all those who will cheer when Scheer takes over, what a victory it will be to go from one Globalist stooge to the next, at least they’ll feel ‘good’ once Trudeau is gone.

            The CPC and Libs have been tag-teaming our country for decades. They’re not distinct parties, they’re two jackboots worn by the same oppressor.

            The CPC had 4 years majority to reclassify ARs or otherwise bring sanity to our gun laws, they did not. Now we’re on the brink of a gun ban after 4 years of Justin. It’s always like this.

            The CPC don’t advocate zealously for conservatism. They do it almost apologetically. They play defence the whole period, even if they’re on a power play. Just keeping the seat warm for the Libs, not setting them back too far for their next turn.

            Case in point. The CPC promise to cut taxes… to what they were around Jan 1, 2019. They aren’t promising to repeal any of the regulatory tax hikes on small businesses implemented in 2017, 2018, and 2019 (removed spousal income splitting for corporations after the very same Liberals implemented spousal income splitting. They called it an “incentive” when implementing it, and encouraged us all to structure our businesses this way, then suddenly started calling it tax evasion. Massive hit to almost all small businesses, but zero hit to big transnational corporations or the real ultra rich) (also, they cut the cap for small corp “passive investments” to $40k total, anything above that is taxed ludicrously. If you had been saving for your retirement in your prof corp intending to pull money out in retirement and pay money on it as you do so, as we have been encouraged by tax law to do for decades, your pension is now paying double or more income tax. It’s a raid on all small business’ retirement savings, and it is disastrous!).

            Why would the “Conservative” party endorse 3 years of tax hikes on Canadian owned small businesses? They are just as complicit as the Liberals for those tax hikes if they do not immediately reverse them!

            The CPC won’t stand up the UN. They won’t tell China to get stuffed. They won’t side with Trump over their elite European buddies. They won’t end the so-called “refugee” scam. They won’t bring us sane gun laws. They won’t cut taxes or spending as much as is needed. They won’t even make any progress on the national debt. They fully support the treasonous Bank of Canada that is already planning to hike interest rates and cause another recession (to its members’ great profit, as we’ve all been encouraged to mortgage our real estate bubble homes to the hilt by artificially low interest rates and 5% or less down 30+ year mortgages with low rates and no racism™ mortgage approvals… echoes of the US in 2008).

            If you want globalist policies in slow motion, keep voting for one of the same two parties that got us in this situation.

            If you want change, vote for People’s Party of Canada and for Maxime Bernier!

  11. The thing to notice about this graphic is how few oil TANKER spills there have been in the US since 1989 when the Exxon Valdez with a drunk crew crashed. There have been numerous well spills in the GOM but few on the west coast.
    The US made huge changes to guiding oil tankers into ports and also made all new ones double hull.
    In fact, in spite of increasing volumes of oil tanker shipments over the last 30 years, volume of spills has gone down due to new safer regulations.

Mr. Oliver was prattling on about how awful it was that Andrew Scheer had not officially endorsed a woman’s right to choose, and why that was a serious problem going into the next election.

      Not a word that Mr. Oliver is an old friend of the Trudeau family, and why that might explain why every thing that comes out of his mouth is pro-Liberal. No word also as to whether or not the CTV News channel will get bribe money from the Liberal government.
