    1. FCM has been tasked by the UN to implement UN Agenda 21 and AGenda 30. They should not be supported by Municipal Tax Dollars. I find it incredible they get away with using property taxes for UN work. When the property taxes should be used locally for their intended purpose. The right to tax should be removed for Municipalities by the Provinces. The Federal Government now mettles in the Municipal Politics big time, bypassing the Constitutional Jurisdiction of the Province. They do it mainly by the Federal Spending Power. Spending in areas beyond their jurisdiction completely outside the Constitution.

      1. That municipalities are implementing The U N Agenda 2030 is very concerning. This is of course global communism. Already Liberals are pushing from one and, now local governments are involved. Notley was all about the UN Agenda. Who else? I have little hope for Canada at this point.

And even so it was only that there’d been some warming since the 1800s, which virtually nobody denies, and that humans are partly responsible. These experts didn’t say it was dangerous or urgent, because they weren’t asked. [Note: or as noted above, if they were the results weren’t reported.]

    But … what if violent crime isn’t being reported like it used to be? Or theft?

    A friend of mine in Burlington had 2 vehicles stolen late last year, one from her driveway and the other from her locked garage. Seven houses on her street were targeted. She had high resolution video of the thief including his face (he was white). The police didn’t want to take it because in their words – we never catch these guys. Then he told her that her neighborhood was lucky. Last week a nearby neighborhood was hit by twelve car thefts. The police did not alert the people of Burlington because they did not want people to feel unsafe.

    Which makes me wonder, who is collecting the statistics on violent crime and is it going down, or has the reporting criteria changed? In Canada the homicide rate peaked in 1978 (3 per 100,000) and declined until 2009. It has since increased almost every year. Interesting that in 1978 most of the boomers were turning 18.

    1. The cops play with the stats so they can make more positions for themselves and increase their budget every single year. If two kids get in a slappy fight in the skool it makes the news. Also, if someone calls the cops on two brothers in a fist fight on their front lawn and one brother has a legal gun legally locked up in the basement and it has nothing to do with the fisticuffs the cops will classify it as a gun crime.

      If that’s how it is supposed to work, perhaps the people of Burlington should keep quiet if they ever hear of or see anything that may be a threat to a police officer? I daresay the job of the police is dangerous enough already, wouldn’t want them to feel less safe than they feel already.

  15. Watched an hour and a half of CBC News this morning, with Heather Hiscox hosting, with my wife during breakfast. And the moribund news broadcaster spent nearly all of that time on the new royal baby, fussing about this or that. CBC News had some thingy reporting live from London, for a half hour, then a short break, then for another half hour, and so forth. The two news thingies managed to spend 10 minutes discussing possible names for the baby. Heather Hiscox managed, right before the new hour, to squeeze in 30 seconds to mention in passing that the Trudeau government would be dropping charges against Mark Norman, and the latest on the US-China trade negotiations — but then it was back to another half hour on the new royal baby..

    This is the CBC News we pay for. They are adroit enough to exploit the royal baby in order to censor the embarrassing news on Mark Norman. And during the entire hour and a half there was no mention at all on any update of China-Canada relations. The CBC wants to censor all of that.

This was a fantasy wedged between the imminent economic surpassing of America by Japan, and then by China. But the decline of Europe, not its rise, is now the threat. Europe has abdicated. The United States has cut America loose from the nonsense of the Paris climate and Iran nuclear agreements, popular with the Europeans, and is making direct arrangements with the other major powers—China, Japan, India, and even possibly Russia. Your freedom to act a certain way can be taken away from you but your attitude about your circumstances cannot. “Liberty” is the state of being free within society from oppressive restrictions imposed by authority, a political construct that allows people to enjoy freedoms such as property rights, free speech, freedom of association, etc. Along with these rights come responsiblities, you must bear the consequences of your actions. We need to recover their original meaning so that there is foundational clarity in political discussions.

The story explains how hundreds of criminals entering the prison system self declare they are indians so they can get special treatment. Yes it doesn’t matter in Justin’s prisons whether you actually are an indian, just say you are.
