Fuck yeah.

Take a bow, Vivian Krause.

  1. Kenney should legislate that only crude oil can go through Transmountain until the expansion is operational. It would lower gas prices in Alberta and increase them dramatically in BC. It would also mean a bit more oil gets to tide water.

    1. Dear Kenney,
I hope you have learned a lesson from Harper and Trump.
      1) Do the house cleaning first. In the first month fire all the senior gov’t staff. Do IT! Fire at least 1/2 of the remaining gov’t staff who live and work in Edmonton. Just DO IT. THEY ARE YOUR ENEMY! They are not your friend, your opponent but your enemy. They will work against you the entire time if you leave them there.
      2) Lock down all records, start the investigations into where money was coming in/going out for the key topics: pipelines, wells, etc. The place is full of evidence, get it and use it.
      3) CUT taxes by 3/4. Take the short term hit on the deficit to free the entrepreneurs, you will be rewarded by incredible tax returns in year 3.
      4) Block the carbon tax, notwithstanding it, ignore it, whatever it takes. Hell, put on an anti-carbon tax (i.e. subsidize energy to the consumer).
      5) Tell Trudeau to get lost, every day! Make sure he knows Alberta has no respect for him.
      6) Kick out the RCMP and establish the Alberta Police.
      7) Last, but foremost, get the gov’t the hell out of the way.

      1. I hope they are more conservative than the conservatives elected in Ontario. No balanced budget, for the first four years, which means no balanced budget. Spending continues to expand along with the deficit. Government continues to grow. Conservatives, sure freaking thing.

      2. All good points. Go the Ralph Klein route; get your government under control.
“Last, but foremost, get the gov’t the hell out of the way”
…..and do like Brad Wall; keep your residence away from the capital city.

      3. Frenchie: absolutely on your first two suggestions ! Every Conservative leader has to realize that he will have to work with the enemy in the civil service especially if the previous government was NDP. And don’t give the bastards time to “lose” evidence.

I worked in the civil service for over ten years and can tell you the NDP panders to the government employee unions even more than Trudeau does to the Muslims. Kenney has some illegal activities by activist NDP appointed civil servants to clean up,I hope he has the courage to do so.
And he needs to straighten out the RCMP as to who they take orders from. The recent Rebel Media show that featured a threatening E-mail from an RCMP officer in Grande Prairie over the Rebel’s stop Notley signs showed a police force that was corrupted by politicians, NDP politicians and civil servants.

It’s going to be tough going for JK and his government, they can help themselves greatly by cleaning house of their worst enemies.

  2. Agreed Kate.
I hope they hire Vivian as an advisor! And fire the radical Pembina Institute green advisors that Shannon and Notley hired.
    A good day!
The main downside is that it looks like we will have to tolerate Shannon Phillips for 4 years more. At 11 PM, she is well ahead of her rival.
    CAS

    1. Lethbridge-West as of 02:00am Apr 17, with advance votes yet to be counted…

      NDP (Phillips) – 10,296 (45.5%)
      UCP (Flatla) – 9,919 (43.9%)
      Difference is 377 votes.

      1. I was following Lethbridge-West on global’s live tracking page. After 93 polls counted both Phillips and Flatla had over 7,300 votes and Phillips only had a 51 vote lead. After they included the 94th poll Flatla had lost 600 votes and was down to 6,700 votes. Did anyone else notice that? I wonder if it was a mistake at Global or something else?

          1. What I was referring to is that Global showed Flatla with more than 7,300 votes after 93 poles had been counted. After 94 poles were counted Flatla had a bit over 6,700 votes. She lost 600 votes. She also went from being 51 votes behind Philips to over 600 behind Philips. So either the vote counters made an error or Global did.

  3. This weekend’s call with my media-addled Ontario mum should be interesting. “Fuck yeah” indeed.

(DAYUM! Captcha TRACTORS no less! Sweet!)

  4. Let’s hope the new and improved Alberta Government publicly and loudly exposes all external attempts to influence the upcoming federal election in favor of Liberals specifically and socialists in general.

  5. Jesus, it’s been an awefully long 4 years…..good riddance to the NDP and the socialist experiment!
Most of those who “were in the middle class or working hard to join it” in Alberta joined it from the top, not the bottom and the govt couldn’t be bothered to look at the numbers. If Kenney does anything less than beat us over the head with a big stick we will be better off than with the NDP in power. I trust we will see results, maybe not this month but incrementally, over the coming months (he said hopefully)……

    1. More like an eternal 12 years or so. The PCs were not much better. The Stelmach ‘royalty raid’ was as bad as anything Notley did.

  6. I’ll believe it when I see it. I watched/heard the entire speech. Kenney paid plenty of lip service to Climate Change, same speech.
In case you ain’t been paying attention, Kate, Climate Change is the Gang Green knife at Alberta’s throat.
Makes no difference for Kenney to be holding the knife, instead of Notley.

    1. As an Edmontonian and, unfortunately, a resident of Red Rachel’s riding, I won’t say no to that.

Of course, I remember when the city was largely blue-collar and right-wing. Much of that changed when oil companies began closing their regional offices here and moving the employees south, particularly when Getty was premier. Calgary became the centre of the oil industry and Edmonton got the government bureaucrats.

(Hey, Captcha! A tractor-trailer unit is not a bus!)

      1. It’s still blue-collar. Those blue collar lugs are voting NDP. Edmonton is like a time-warp where the NDP is the old one that caters to Joe-Know-Nothing Six Pack

      2. “(Hey, Captcha! A tractor-trailer unit is not a bus!)”

        It is in Cuba, comrade!

  7. Premier Kenney just gave the speech of a lifetime and the part about going after Tides and the rest of the nosey parkers was music to my ears!

Hope he does well as Premier!

    1. “Hope he does well as Premier!”

I agree. Surprise me, Premier Kenney. Do good, be a conservative. Be a good man and blessing to us all.

    2. This morning on the Global website, they only mentioned the Suzuki foundation. No word about the others. The media disinformation continues, and will intensify.

  8. He blathered on about climate change. And what was all that French shit about? Nothing about reclaiming equalization. Just another federal liberal.

    1. Perhaps his graciousness towards Quebec was because he borrowed the idea from Derek Fildebrandt for either a better deal inside Confederation for Alberta or its independence.

    2. Yes, the implied acceptance of the calamitous-carbon dioxide-AGM crap is worrying. I’ll know the corner has been turned when politicians or corporate execs are yet ready to openly say it doesn’t look to be a big problem, there are far more pressing issues to deal with first.

      1. It’s scientific fact. You don’t get to be taken seriously unless you accept scientific fact.

        1. Scientific fact is that the sun is heading into a very severe minimum.
Scientific fact is that western Canada had its coldest winter in 80 years (but that’s just weather).
Scientific fact is that CO2 already absorbs/discharges 99% of all the solar radiation it is capable of absorbing. In other words, saturation. it is like if it is 36 C in a room and you put on a jacket. You wont get any warmer. You can put on a second jacket and you still wont get any warmer. That is where we are with CO2.

          1. That’s a very inapt metaphor for the greenhouse effect. Pretty sure if I layer up at 36C I will absolutely get warmer and warmer with more layers.

          2. “Pretty sure if I layer up at 36C I will absolutely get warmer and warmer with more layers.”

Unme, you are colossally stupid. You are so f*cking stupid I cannot believe anyone can be as f*cking stupid as you.

        2. UnMe,

          What is a scientific fact?
Climate change? It’s been happening for billions of years.

Global warming? Happens quite regularly. Otherwise we’d be in an ice age.

        3. unDork, it’s not a fact, scientifically or mathematically. You can’t increase what ain’t there, simple as that

        4. It isn’t the LPOC’s or anybody elses’s in this country either, to Save the Planet ™.

The Main Plan of the “green” movement, despite the nice faces projected by all these champions of the Environment….is DEPOPULATION, where AI does all the “work” and people are removed from the equation. DEPOPULATION means massive genocide, as that “Plan” involves getting rid of about 6 BILLION or more of “useless eaters”. Read up on it, the greens have been very open with their “Plan” for years. Google it!

What’s the best way other than actual death camps, or a manufactured kill off (don’t take that flu shot)? Control access to energy, drive up the costs of “living” (food in particular, travel and heating….a big one here, why do you think Carbon Taxes were picked?) to the point that in Canada’s situation 6 months of cold weather is ideal to begin reducing population. I guess we have been volunteered to be the “test case” on the depopulation subject. Being stupid in Canada could be hazardous to your health, sport. If you have followed the news over the years, who dies first? Granny and Grandpappy, at least in the EU and soon to be here, too if the greens get their way on Klimate Change. They don’t even have to stick a needle in them to hurry things along.

If you have ever read any of my blog posts on the subject….it is a GD SCAM, because it isn’t really happening by man’s hand, despite the efforts of some political “scientists” to make it happen in your mind. CO2 is a man made, manufactured “crisis” that doesn’t exist. There are uncounted sub sea volcanic actions that produce more CO2 than we do as industrialized societies. Have been for as long as oceans existed. We are at 400 ppm and greenies are freaking out? What for? Below 250 ppm plant life becomes stressed and food production begins to decline. People die. At 200 ppm, we on earth who use carbon to eat and survive have a real problem, because plant life is kaput at those levels. Not just humans, sport. Green house use 1000+ CO2 to grow stuffDuring the Dinosaur Ages CO2 levels were 1500-1900 ppm. Stuff grew bigly.

That “2 degrees warmer than anywhere else” in Canada report put out by Environment Canada lately is a bunch of lying crap. As a Geologist, I can tell you that unless there is some sort of heat input under the North American Continent, specifically Canada, those numbers quoted are a bunch of manipulated data to support the LPOC’s drive to “regulate” Canada’s population to conform with UN policy to DEPOPULATE THE PLANET.

If you are even remotely interested, you’d already know how cold, economically and financially destitute people are at risk of poor health (no economy, no health care, reduced food ’cause it’s too expensive, you starve and eventually succumb to illness). They economically will “warehouse” people by making it too expensive to live outside the cities, if they don’t just legislate it.

Try this article for a reference: https://business.financialpost.com/opinion/peter-foster-mark-carney-and-michael-bloombergs-sustainable-scheme-to-dismantle-canadas-economy

It’s easier to deal with depopulation that way. Maurice Strong was promoting this back in the 70’s. Ms Elizabeth May is one of his acolytes. David Suzuki is another. The Billionaires Club of the EU and the USA are spot on with the plans to elimination billions of people from this Planet to “sustain” their lifestyles, not yours. They are smarter than you, in their minds. Judging by their success in promoting this idea, I tend to agree.

That is our future under “green” policies. Don’t believe me, do some research on the subject, because anything you say right now tells me you’re too stupid to know better.

          1. PO’ed in A, spot on! Wish there was a thumb’s up thingy at this site, you’d get a lot of ’em for that post.

          2. Well said and great article. It does appear that Jason Kenney will be swimming upstream against a strong current.

        5. HORSESHIT unthing….complete & utter Horseshit.

That the Climate is changing is irrefutable.
That Man made CO2 is the cause is the horseshit I refer to along with any so called “Scientific” proof of which there is Fucking ZERO.

You wanna know what contributes to, and is the one and only driver of Climate..? Simply look to the Eastern Horizon early in the AM. It’s the sun STUPID….all of this utter BS with CO2 is nothing less than an attempt to Create Energy Poverty by the COMMUNISTS – Globalists of whom you are so obviously aligned with…right.?

Scientific “proof”…. yea, as if…in yer all too often wet dreams sonny.

          1. There simply is no other explanation besides man’s CO2. It’s the data. Doesn’t mean we have to do anything about it, but it is what it is regardless of keyboard warrior geologists like the one above think.

          2. UnMe,

            The data? Really?

There seems to be a lot of data adjusting going on.

First it was Global Warming, now it’s Climate Change. Why the change? Perhaps there isn’t a lot of global warming going on.

There are so many climate models predicting different levels of warming, that if one were serious, you’d have to question the validity of the models.

In 1989 the UN reported we had 11 years to act or global catastrophe. Well we didn’t act. Where is the catastrophe?

        6. Bureaucrats hire scientists who create facts by being 100% certain of their estimates (generated by computer models that are 100% wrong but will probably get it right one of these days).

    3. French-Canadian subversives of every stripe never tired of slandering the English and the Jews in their political speeches, resting assured that their opponents’ French was so feeble they couldn’t understand them.

Kenney, who has spent some time in Ottawa, can understand them.

Any French-speaker willing to cone to Alberta to learn English, do honest work and raise their children as Albertans are welcome to do so. It’s the Montreal Alberta-haters, anglo-haters and Jew-haters whose opinions are no longer valued in Edmonton.

  9. We need to get one of the new UCP MLA’s to propose a bill: “The Reset Alberta Act”, which would be an omnibus bill to void out all legislation passed by the Dippers in the previous four years, and also undo all regulatory changes made by bureaucrats under their watch. Every last one. Even the good ones, if such exist. Picking good grains from cow pies is a worthless effort.

I realize that in some instances contracts were let, and will have to be honoured, and I also realize it would be well-nigh impossible to fairly reimburse all Albertans for excess taxes and fees collected. I will settle for simply rolling back all taxes and fees to pre-Dipper levels.

    1. ” I also realize it would be well-nigh impossible to fairly reimburse all Albertans for excess taxes and fees collected. I will settle for simply rolling back all taxes and fees to pre-Dipper levels.”

Do you realize that those stupid Commies stopped automatic things that were previously done like sending notice that vehicle registration renewal was coming due and that they had the RCMP publicly pulling over and fining people $300.00 for a sticker?

I grew up in an age when the only time you had to register a vehicle was if you had just purchased it.
It was then registered to the owner alone and never had to be registered ever again until it was sold.

That was the Alberta Progressive Conservative’s fault. Those commie PCs turned vehicle registration into an annual tax.
Jason Kenney was the Leader of the Alberta Progressive Conservatives. I hope that SOB rises above his PC roots.

    2. You realize that the PCs encumbered the province immensely too right? Your proposed bill is the the beginning of what’s needed.

        1. Yea….I think it was ZERO or close to..?

          Now..?
100 Billion in the shitter with 85,000 more USELESS Trough Feeders.

FIRE the Lot of them Jason.

    3. It would have to make it going all the way back to Stelmach. He and Redford were dipper plants in the Alberta PC party.

      1. Mike T: I absolutely agree. Stelmach and Redford were both raving socialists. Those not paying attention to the takeover of the PC party continued to vote PC and we went into the shitter. Those who respond to criticism of the NDP with, “Yes, but look at what the PCs left behind” are purposely ignoring the socialist takeover of the PCs. Thanks to Kenney and the UCP for stepping up.

  10. “He blathered on about climate change. And what was all that French shit about?”

That was Kenney greasing the skids for a future run at the PM slot.
Notice the camera panned Stephen Harper in the room about 3 times during the French part of the speech? That’s a tell.

  11. So many absolute and total morons commenting here.

    NOTHING.
    CHANGES.
    IF.
    YOU.
    STAY.
    IN.
    CANADA.
    NOTHING.
    EVER.
    NOTHING.

If Kenney hasn’t already declared unilateral independence, then you will be keeping Notely’s carbon tax, and there will never be any pipelines built. And nothing will change for you.

    1. “If Kenney hasn’t already declared unilateral independence”

Kenney clearly plans to be Prime Minister of Canada. Did you even listen to his speech? He hit ALL of the required notes.
Problem for him is that he has to do better than Notley. He has got to win a second term and to do that he has to get Albertans
back to work now. If he doesn’t? Get in touch with me and I’ll help you dig up all of those inch pattern FNs you’ve got.
I’ll take Kenney’s ‘prosperity’ over being dead fighting your revolution anyhow, anytime. We’ve all gotta to serve somebody.
      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmx0gD-Qa5U

    2. Kevin, as the only living conservative in Canada I agree. Canadians have never, ever, seen a tax that they would not pay or an infringement of freedom that they would not accept. They verify my constant statements about being stupid with every passing day. Even when given an opportunity to really freaking fix/change things they follow a socialist mindset. There is no cure.

      1. Yeah, it’s kind of like San Francisco; if victory looks and smells like mountains of human excrement, then yes, you’re winning.

        Otherwise…

  12. One of you commenting here today will win all the lotteries in the world on the same day before Canada builds a pipeline. Canada is the failed state where nothing will ever be built again. No more cars, no more pipelines, no more power plants unless they are unreliable.

My advice to you is stop using your toilets, and make Kenney’s yard look like San Fransisco until one concrete thing is changed. All the yards, of all your MLAs. UNTIL THEY DELIVER.

  13. All 24 seats in Edmonton went NDP? Wall the place off, no one in or out. Turn off the power, the gas, stop food deliveries.

Do what Obama said to do; punish your enemies, reward your friends. Government is a disease, immediately fire 100,000 government employees.

    1. You missed a step. After the wall is built, fill it to within 6″ of the top with water. There are convenient rivers flowing there to help you do it. “Lake Edmonton” has a nice ring to it, dunnit?

  14. “All 24 seats in Edmonton went NDP? Wall the place off”

Remember the Gainers Meat Packing plant outside of Edmonton back in the 80s? Dumbass Redmonchuk Union members were warned not to strike or Peter Pocklington would close it down? Yeah, so these dumbass Redmonchukians listened to their union and struck, …what happened? They got locked out and Pocklington shut the packing plant down and opened a new plant elsewhere.
You just can’t splain economics to the losers up there. Just Ask Set You Free. Dumb as posts in Redmonton.

They call it the City of Champions. That’s French for mushrooms./

    1. The Gainers plant was the old Swifts plant on 66th Street in Edmonton. Edmonton had 4 meat packing plants employing 500 to 1,000 people each. In the US the unions were broken plus the Edmonton plants were old and inefficient. The other three plants shut down but that option wasn’t available to Pocklington as his Edmonton plant was hid primary operation. It was simply timing until he went bankrupt and the only thing to save him would be reduced labour costs. He won the lockout but the plant was destined to fail. There are now no big packing plants in Edmonton. Northern Alberta livestock is mostly trucked to Southern Alberta or the US for slaughter. Not a problem because everyone in Edmonton has a good union job with the government.

    2. Pocklington was a god damned criminal. Full stop.
He should never be used as an example of anything but a criminal.
He got away owing Alberta’s over 60 million.
Our pissant politicos were conned by him as were most Albertans.

  15. “Completely horrified we have a homophobic white suppremacist mini-Trump as our premier here in AB”

I wish. Kenney did vote for SSM back in ’06 when Harper’s regime allowed a free vote on the subject.
Barack Obama had Joe Biden as his VP for 2 terms, ergo Obama must have been a white supremist.
Nevertheless, I’m good with Kenney being those things and also with you being horrified. BOO! nyuck nyuck nyuck

  16. MAGA MAGA MAGA MAGA MAGA
    MAGA MAGA MAGA MAGA MAGA
    MAGA MAGA MAGA MAGA MAGA

    MAKE ALBERTA GREAT AGAIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  17. Better than the alternative, but bare in mind the fact that Jason Kenny has never had a real job in his life, and used to be executive assistant to Ralph Goodale, when Goodale was Liberal party leader.

  18. Was a win for Kenney and the UPC ever in doubt? Trudeau and company will be shaking in their boots. Couldn’t be a better outcome for Canada leading up to an election.

    1. Interesting fact. There are no Liberal governments from the Pacific Ocean to the border of Nova Scotia. I guess the Trudeau brand is not worth much.

      1. Let us now work towards ridding ourselves of another Liberal government in October.

        Because it’s 2019.

  19. Well good article by Libin in the NP. Seems old Jody WRaygoat the former Indian Goat Roper AG and Trudeau both fucked Alberta. All the decisions on the Pipeline Process had to satisfy every damn Wagon Burner from the Alberta Border to the BC coastline. Indian Bullshit Science stories over Scientific Proof. Do not appeal lower court decisions if the lower court favors a Wagon Burner. And C69 will even consider gender issues for a piece of pipe buried in the ground. Canada is a complete fucking mess. You can not fix something so fucked up and stupid. All you can do when you fuck something up this bad. Is tear it apart and start again. Kenney is the Faint Hope Clause for Canadian Unity, he will be the last Premier of Alberta in Canada. If he wavers or sneezes or fails to deliver, Canada will split apart. This is where the rubber meets the road, the bullet meets the bone. If he can not unscramble the Byzantine Mess that is Canada today the Nation of Canada is gone. Alberta needs to wall of all of Canada except Sask. they are Alberta’s only friend, Manitoba is a lost cause, Ontario is gone, Ford is sucking slough water already and running scared. I listened to Kenney’s Faint Hope Clause Speech to Canadians last night, the NATION of Alberta was born last night Ladies and Gentlemen. The next move will be UDI. UDI is the only way to cut the Gordian Knot with one stroke of the SWORD.. Canada, the old Canada of your youth is gone. Get over that shit now. The big tell nobody talked about was the UCP slogan “Alberta Strong and Free” think about that. That is Alberta’s Official Motto. Fortis Et Liber. Strong and Free. Get the RCMP the Ottawa Black and Tans Para Military Unit, out of Alberta, The day that the Citizens of the Nation of Alberta, shut down the Trans Canada and the Rail lines Kenney should go there personally to the blockades and explain why. If a handful of Hunter Gathers can be called a Nation by the Canadian Courts so can Alberta be a NATION. The Republic of Alberta, the Nation of Alberta. Go UDI Alberta and yes MAGA. Somebody in Alberta needs to order millions of those hats. MAGA hat on every Nation of Alberta man and boy and woman in the Nation of Alberta. OK my 2 cents Kevin Libins good article on the 2 fucked up handwringing goat ropers Justa Turd and Snotley both crooks both back stabbers both inbred idiots. PS: Sad to see that asswipe lyin Harper hanging around Kenney’s Campfire, stop that shit now Kenney. https://business.financialpost.com/opinion/kevin-libin-on-election-day-alberta-confronts-the-betrayal-that-notley-made-possible

    1. It was an excellent article…!!

1 down and a couple to go:

Trudeau – Islamic Pandering Globalist (NAZI), Phuque
Nenshi – Islamic Pandering Globalist Phuque

  20. So so so relieved.

Kenney has said he’ll clean house, that big changes will occur from day one in office, that equalization will either be renegotiated or there’ll be an Alberta referendum on this issue, and knowing he’s been elected by not being quite like the rest of the politicos in office, I’m hopeful for the future of Alberta.

Something I haven’t felt since Mr. Ralph Klein was Premier.

Sure we’ll hold his feet to the fire, but unwarranted criticism because he hasn’t met a wish list is pointless.

I think Jason Kenney deserves support, let’s see what he does with his grande majority.

    1. Very Very Well Said Marc. Concur 100%.

Let’s give him some time….I do believe he has the provinces well being at heart.

    2. Well Said….we did our part by not splitting the vote with th independence parties. Now let’s give him 4 months to see what his course will be.
My wish list includes rolling back the disastrous and harmful LGBQ initiatives in the schools. That will be hard, as most school divisions wanted to run with whatever they thought was “progressive” even before Notley. She just gave them the excuse (it’s been legislated) and green light. They would fight him every step of the way, like good little CS Marxists, but they need to be reminded that these kids are their parent’s kids, not the school system’s.

  21. In related news, a one point eight billion dollar mining project has been approved in B.C. I guess that is more friendly to the environment than a pipe from Alberta. This is in addition to the massive LNG project. That also apparently is more friendly to the environment than a pipe from Alberta.

    1. Just a small point here, i concur on the mine, but the LNG export is hugely beneficial to NW Alberta and NE BC because that is where the Montney gas field is located that is meant to supply the LNG plant….the mainline to be built to the coast deadheads in Dawson Creek at the AB/BC border. It will mean extensive drilling, drilling service and production work in that area for some time.

      1. The LNG project might not get built. There is a court challenge that says because the LNG project pipeline will tie in Alberta, then NEB approval is required for the project.

The project proponents only got BC approval because all of the pipelines, wells, and LNG plant were in BC.

        We shall see what happens.

        1. The Intent of the court challenge (by one hypocrite in Smithers) was to get the NEB to look at it…it’s already at that stage of NEB review….the trouble with the cancellation idea is Whoregan, Weavel and Trudy all like CO2 when it comes from burning NG…and that Canada has already been labeled as ‘sovereign risk’ to investment..it would be a political nail in the coffin for the Feds.

          1. Only locally. Horgan wants to remove nat gas from the Lower Mainland as a fuel source (promoting his dam building and electricity…it’s sooooo greeen), so like BC’s stance on coal exports, a “greenie” hypocrite. But he’s a commie, so I guess he’s good to go on the subject.

  22. My 2 cents on Kenney’s speech. I liked how he would end Foreign money in elections. That is not enough tho. He needs to wallpaper the shithouse called the SCOC with Notwithstanding Clauses on every single issue concerning the NATION of Alberta’s Jurisdiction. Every single damn one. Carbon Tax, C-69, every thing that is in the Nation of Alberta’s purview under BNA Division of powers and jurisdiction. And take a double bit western axe and fire every damn bureaucrat Notley appointed or hired down at least 3 levels. An do it now. He needs to take back the 10 Million acres of National Parks that Alberta loaned to Ottawa in trust and get that French and Eastern Canada make work project off our doorstep. Those jobs should all be for young Albertans. And get that worthless mangy Cayute Lyin Harper to hell away from your campfire Kenney. More Alberta Less Ottawa. MAGA Nation of Alberta Fortis Et Liber.

  23. We’ll see. Never been a fan of Kenney, but I donated and I voted for them. When they called for a second donation I told them I had to see some actual conservative action out of them before they received any more.

Hope I’m wrong about being politically cynical….but I’ve seen a lot of conservative campaigners go squishy after they were elected.

Kenney needs to clean house and get rid of all the left wing rats and chase them out of Alberta. Don’t just fire bureaucrats….but cut off any spending that keeps these commies hanging around Alberta.

    1. Same here exactly, I’m cautiously optimistic for now. Cleaning house is priority one & I hope he does it properly…the last thing we need are leftist turd appointees & bureaucrats undermining things.

    1. That piece is really bad. Shows the CBC for the intolerant media network it is. McDonald’s logic is completely off. The opinion piece is simply using rhetoric and out-of-context talking points to demonize a political party. I think it fuels racial division. Totally inappropriate.

      1. Deduct what you are forced to pay to CBC, off your tax return. Watch the CRA heads explode. It’s about $80 per person a year, well when I did that math. Might be more now. It’s not a lot, but it will get noticed.

A small step for mankind, but a giant leap of “get out of our faces Ottawa/Tronna/Montreal. You don’t own us.

    2. MacDonald is giant Liberal scrote licker. A lot of the ‘most liked’
comments gave it to the weirdo good and hard.

  24. I checked to most recent population vote totals on the Elections Alberta web site, and that agency had the UCP winning 55.2% , and the NDP winning 32.2%, of the vote. This means the UCP won by 23% over the NDP, far higher than the 6-10% percentage points forecast by the media-run polls. I hope some conservatives notice this fraud, other than me.

    1. Yes big BIG MAGA win for the people of the Nation of Alberta. Folks have not in the ROC picked up yet on the phycological shift in Albertans last night. This is big news and the analysts have not seen it yet. Kenney was talking Independence all through his campaign but couching it in acceptable language. And Albertans instinctively went for that message big time. The Nation of Alberta was born last night in the hearts and minds of Albertans and they lapped up Kenney’s Independence message all through his campaign. And they just told him we want MORE. And they did it in a big way. He is going after the Globalists in Canada and the USA. The Nation of Alberta. MAGA. Somebody could make money on blue T shirts and hats with MAGA and the Alberta Flag on them with Fortis Et Liber , get er done boys. Nation of Alberta

      1. ” He is going after the Globalists in Canada and the USA. ”

So he’s going to pretend to chase phantoms instead of cutting government. Figures

          1. …and? What does going after has-been important people with bad ideas mean? Aside from fascism?

      2. If Kenney had the wherewithal to move Alberta towards independence the ROC would be shocked but even more so when other parts of Western Canada also joined Alberta. At some point Western Canadians will realize the futility of Canada. Canada is not a country built on fairness or economic reality. $1 trillion transfered east. Yes, the petroleum will eventually be replaced as a method of powering the world. That said what ‘trust fund’ exists for Albertans? The Heritage Fund? Much of that wealth transfer is on Albertan politicians who let it happen.

    2. DM
Exactly. The pollsters suggested the gap was closing as the vote neared. What us their data base that they use ?

Polls are a fraud. Each election points out that fact.

    3. Good point. Reading a couple of the news stories the day of the election, I saw a headline stating that the UCP led the NDP by “eight points” (Global News) . That’s quite a difference. They do this consistently across jurisdictions. A “dead heat” means that the non-progressive party has a solid lead.

  25. Pipeline opponents and progressives in general are tools. Lenin was honest. Useful idiots.

  26. Not bad at 55% and I don’t care that all but one of Edmonton’s ridings went NDP. That city just needs to be amputated. I am really troubled that Calgary and even Lethbridge have orange flecks. The dominance outside Edmonton should be quite total really Calgary should not be a battleground. The Albertan right can’t let go of urban and suburban areas because those places are the future and rural places are the past. Also, a lot of votes went to the Alberta Party. A lot.

    1. Government workers vote pro government workers parties

      Government Workers come from
      City
      Municipal
      Regional
      Provincial
      Federal
      Teachers
      Health Care Workers
      Universities and Colleges

      Need I say more…

      Less government workers the better…

      Make Government unions illegal.

      Privatize

  27. How many Quebec premier elect speech’s ever contained reassuring comforting comments meant for western consumption?

  28. When globalists weep, Rev. Aberhart’s laughter can be heard clearly from the bosom of Abraham.

He would have been proud of Jason Kenney. Let’s pray that the days when the globalists could overrule the will of decent people are indeed drawing to a close—from Edmonton to the ends of the earth.

God bless Alberta and Jason Kenney.

  29. Alberta is a stepping stone to the PM’s chair for Kenney. He will govern Alberta from a Canada first view not an Alberta first view. This does not bode well for Alberta.

    1. He’s part of the Globalist cabal that controls Canada…

They own all the leaders except for Max…

      Remember that…

      1. Vote MAX in October, then. Nothing to lose doing that. Send a message to the Milk Man et al. Kenny’s pals at Federal Canada. We’ll see if Kenny is a globalist soon and then decide. This “country” is finished as we knew it last night. It was finished when PET the First showed in the polls, fifty years ago.

  30. All the right people are pissed off with the election.

It means that Alberta, you are on the RIGHT TRACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For all the long-faced proggies and LGBTABCD+-*/ crowd, ITS THE ECONOMY STUPID!

  31. The People of Alberta spoke loud and clear… The TV coverage by the Global Network was Professionally done…CTV was just there because they had to cover it, CBC was whining & hand wringing…..What will happen to the big Turd? The two Turds are down one

Kenny said he agreed with climate change, that does not mean the CARBON (CAGW) nonsense The climate has been changing for 4.5 billion years… He wants “ALL” pipe lines east & West to tidewater…
I still think a Foot hills (North to South) solution is possible to bypass BC and get a Canadian Spigot @ Seattle (Negotiate)

Notley shouted out to her Tribal community & the LBJ##### community of freaks & grievance mongers… Not much to look forward too unless Turdo wins in October & the Courts are used to prevent Kenny from effective government…. Notley did not get half
of the seats meaning she was skunked..
She was so proud of herself it made you want to puke

    Bring it on!

  32. Glad UCP won. Cancelling Carbom tax would be a mistake. Then Ottawa would take the money, instead of Alberta. Cancel the other alberta taxes, roll them into the carbon tax, make it a flat tax.

    1. Because oil and gas are Provincial Property, and Provincial Responsibility he could use the Not Withstanding Clause over and over. Also it is illegal for one government to tax another. He could cancel UI and make it Provincial, He could create APP instead of CPP, can use the Notwithstanding Clause on the Equalization Scam, Then their is the Health Transfers etc, and finally UDI.

      1. To my mind, it certainly is unconstitutional for the Federal government to impose a tax on Canadians in one part of the country that it does not impose in another. In other words, our Dear Leader could impose any Federal tax he wants as long as it is imposed on all Canadians regardless of residence.

That said, I have little faith in a “progressive” activist-infested Supreme Court of Canada to address this.

    2. Cancel the Federal Liberal Party, instead!
Cancel Carbon Tax from sea- to -sea to- sea.

We have no PST here, in AB.
Mike, if the city wants to cancel my property taxes though, I’d be okay with that. They just announced another tax hike. It seems they need another raise because they work so hard.

  33. Kenny’s speech was a tour de force. Never heard anything like it in this country. He served notice on the papinea ponce.

The coming months will be entertaining.
    Poncie may not survive.

I’ve been around long enough to keep my expectations low.

The bottom line is that the evil/cunning notley is gone. She did a lot of damage.

    1. That’s 8 yesses to your comments @ 11:20 am.

Boy! That went well yesterday, eh ?
Kenney’s speech goes down as one of the best political speeches ever!

      1. Kenney is the best politician in the country right now and the fate of the whole country lies in what he is able to accomplish. Trudeau is going to look weaker than ever. The CBC did all they could to slag him, that in itself tells us everything we need to know.

This Alberta election result will affect the federal election big time.

        1. Dawna Friesen of Global news said that with Notley voted out all the provinces have now eliminated their female premiers. Very interesting. I thought – she’ll now get a blast from the crowd that likes to use sexless terminology. Tsk tsk!

Personally, I don’t give a hoot what they are, if the Premiers trash the economy, they ought to be ousted.

Perhaps a policy of a one year trial would be in order and then they are out if they are not suitable, would be a good idea.

    2. The LPOC will switch him out, before October. Their man is already picked. Not in Groper’s caucus, either.

    3. “Kenny’s speech was a tour de force. Never heard anything like it in this country. ”

Yes. However words are cheap. We’ll see if he holds the interest of Albertans above his interest in being Prime Minister.
I’ll celebrate the removal of Notley. She was a liar and evil.

  34. The election is a small battle won. It is not the war, not even close. Far too many Full Retards voted for the Notley crew. These people are enemies of individual responsibility and liberty. They are overwhelmingly on the public teat and as such are a threat to fiscal prudence, to small responsible government and to entrepreneurship.

  35. Congratulations to Jason Kenney and the UCP, now after the celebration’s over,it’s time to live up to the rhetoric.

I’m afraid many here are not going to be as ecstatic in a year,as the comfortably Canadian Premier of Alberta, a long time player in the political realm of this country, isn’t going to do anything too radical.

IF he does,I’ll be glad to eat my words, with chili sauce. But over the last 70 years,I’ve been disappointed too many times to be more than very cautiously optimistic. First item on Kenney’s list should be Frenchie’s suggestion to clean house on all the high ranking NDP appointed civil servants. That would be a big first step in the right direction.

    We shall see.

    1. It won’t be easy to deal with the mess, I’m sure Kenney is fully aware of that. In Ontario Ford also stepped into a quagmire of debt and uncertainty. Union has already compared Ford to Mike Harris, who has been gone for decades, when he gave the teachers a warning not to consider striking, told them they have the best gig of anyone. Unions seem to forget who the hell is paying for all their demands. Liberals and NDP suck up to unions, give in to their demands.

      1. It’s like communism, you can’t clear it out in one fell swoop,it’s an easing out process. I have great confidence Alberta and all of Canada will be looking more prosperous in spite of the present inept federal government, which if sanity returns to the electorate we will be rid of in October.

        1. Your example brilliantly demonstrates the opposite of what you claim: nations that transitioned from communism to capitalism most quickly did best (Baltics); the ‘gradualists’ usually regressed (ex Ukraine).

    2. I agree Don. Cynicism must come with age. Too many disappointments in the past. The proof will be in the pudding.

      1. It already does. Been going on for quite a while, too. I worked on tankers that filled in Sarnia and Port Credit to supply places like Tronna, Oshawa, Parry Sound, Owen Sound, Sudbury, Sault Ste Marie and T-Bay…in the early 70’s.

Paid for University for me. Two and half years before the mast.

        1. Good idea, foreign tankers already go to sarnia. End the pipeline in TunderBay. Make a huge tank farm and line up the Tankers. Do while Ford is in power. If he can get all the knives out of his back long enough. Upgrade the Oil lines to 2 48″ pipes, twinned all the way to TunderBay.

  36. The TSX was up today. I hold shares in a number of companies that have a stake in the oil industry and those stocks were among those that rose.

    Coincidence?

  37. Horgan’s pragmatic enough that he may prove to be less hostile than some expect. He is nearing the end of this trial arrangement of coalition with the small Green caucus and that may mean less pandering to their harder line. Now it’s time to attempt to shake them off and govern without them next time, or go down to the Liberals who would also be an improvement of a different sort. So I am faintly optimistic that a solution may come. The stumbling block will be native bands using their extraordinary (and some would say ill-defined in law) powers to veto the project.

I hope Kenney doesn’t repeat Redford’s mistake of trying to get a deal that shifts most of the risk for clean-ups to B.C., because that’s why we got to this impasse — the door was wide open to a deal before Horgan was elected but the former AB premier decided to push for a risk-free (to Alberta) deal. Now this just won’t sell anywhere, to ask people to help you out at their expense. If Albertans are the main beneficiaries, they must also be the main risk-takers financially. And becoming an independent nation wouldn’t change that fundamental fact.
