1/ Here is a video of a Model 3 crashing into the back of a Subaru Forester while on Autopilot. The impact occurs about 20 seconds into the video. Not only does the Model 3 appear to accelerate into the crash, but the airbag didn't even deploy. $TSLA pic.twitter.com/XdpM7b0SFw

Well hold on just a second, what if we require Tesla drivers to follow cyclists?
In Tesla’s defense, it was poor visibility, the road surface was treacherous, and it was busy and complex intersection.
In other words….?? a Normal Traffic situation.
TESLA = Expensive Virtue Signalling Computer Junk masquerading as a vehicle.
Useless
Garbage.
BS.
ICE Rules and will continue to do so unless we lose the Battle between us and the Global NAZI network….UN, Eco-Loons, Elites, Billionaire Bourgeois, Rothchilds etc.
You do understand I was being sarcastic? Driving conditions were optimal.
Sarcasm requires a /sarc tag. Ending a sentence with “/” alone is accepted Blogosphere protocol.
Were you raised by wolves or something?/
Calling Charles Adler. Shouldn’t we ban Teslas? It looks like the land version of a Boeing 800 MAX.
A prime example of Scotty’s Principle: The more complex something is, the easier it is to gum up the works.
(Original quote: “The more they overthink the plumbing, the easier it is to stop up the drain.”)
What really grinds my wheels is that the BC government takes money from me, a less wealthy person, in the form of the carbon tax and gives it to a more wealthy person to “incentivize” him/her to buy a Tesla.
There is no real proof to my knowledge that the autopilot was on, we have just the video so far.
Don’t jump into conclusions before the case has been investigated. In other words, these cases need to investigated rigorously as our road safety currently heavily fails on human drivers doing human errors like falling asleep while driving.
No proof other than the second tweet at the link with a comment from the Tesla driver saying it was on, but I understand your concern, Elon.
The driver crashed his car. How probably he’s trying to find an excuse? I’m not saying he’s lying, but it might be the driver was called Justin or Jussie.
How probably he’s trying to find an excuse? I’m not saying he’s lying…
Other than the fact that you just did.
“Don’t jump into(sic) conclusions” . “these cases need to(sic) investigated” . ” How probably(sic) he’s trying to find an excuse?”
Interesting Russian syntax you exhibit there. English ain’t your mother tongue? Eh, tovarich?
I’d be okay with being rear ended by a Tesla as long as it didn’t turn me into a carbq.
I’d have fun with the smug owner at the scene and it wouldn’t break my heart to sue.
Please Lord, let every socialist in the world buy a Telsa, and burn to death in fiery crashes.
Please Lord, let every Muslim taxi driver in Canada buy a Telsa, and drive socialists to their deaths for their May Day celebrations.
But they won’t, because Teslas get bad mileage for the charging downtime.
Autonomous cars will not come before autonomous trains, and those are very rare. If the program can’t handle tracks, it can’t handle 3D traffic. Maybe before flying cars, maybe.
Put an Asian behind the wheel with some Huawei tech in the cockpit and everything would be fine.
LMAO….!!
Made my morning…and near choked on my coffee..!!
TRUTH…absolute Truth.
Isn’t hi-tech just wonderful? It isn’t much better than someone texting on their “smart” phone.
It was a Subaru, which might cause some concern among the greenies. If it was a big SUV they’d likely figure it was a feature.
What seems to be the problem about the airbag not deploying? The only thing that would make it better would be if the seat belt had detached itself just before the impact. Oh, and of course, if the vehicle had sped up to 70 mph before the crash as well. Darwin NEEDS entries!
Just a reminder:
Elon Musk is merely the reincarnation of P.T. Barnum, but with more money and less ethics.
Looks like an offset crash, the airbag doesn’t always deploy in that case… or at least the “smart” ones don’t
The BC government has said that non-electric vehicles will no longer be allowed to be sold in the province by 2030. The road trip to Alberta to buy a real vehicle will add at least 1K to the cost of buying a car.
No ICE Vehicles by 2030 eh….?? Gonna Be a great time in BC for Parts and Repairs of those built prior while sales drop into the TOILET for New. And with that, I guess they will kill the RV Business..? can’t haul a 12’500 lb 27′ 5th Wheel with an EV.. Not in my lifetime.
And to add to that, seems we may be going into a prolonged and fairley long Cooling period. yep, Perfectly aligned with the Real agenda of NWO/Agenda 2030:
Killing off the planetary population by any means: AGW, Migration and now the death of ICE.
You can haul a 12,500# 27′ 5th wheel with an electric vehicle… just not very far, and stopping may be optional….
The airbag worked as designed. The impact was not sufficient to deploy. The autopilot – not so much. At least it didn’t incinerate itself and the dash cam seemed to have survived just fine.
So, does autopilot automatically disable brakes, eyes, and brains?
Meh…Foresters are only driven by lesboes anyway.
And men wearing … lightweight loafers
Just yesterday, I encountered an (apparently) autopiloted Tesla cruising at 65mph (the posted speed limit) in the far left lane of a 5-lane section of fwy here in the balmy Bay Area. Problem is … the “flow of traffic” was 75mph-80mph. So … every other car on the fwy, with HUMAN pilots were swerving and dodging this TESLA obstacle in the “fast” lane … the passing lane. Hey! Tesla autopilot! It’s written right into the drivers handbook as the BASIC speed Law … “Slower Traffic keep right”. Get that? Slow-ER Traffic. Keep. Right. How about programming THAT into your confounded contraption!?
