      Not a day goes by without me stumbling upon a text about this mythical “white man”, this universal bastard, buttered with privileges, who is fueling racist and discriminatory impulses.

      In the victimist perspective of some anti-racist activists, all Whites are racist, especially when they reject this label. An anti-racist activist already called me a “white supremacist” at a panel. It’s saying everything.

      The current anti-racism is characterized by an incessant appeal to whites to recognize that they have received a cursed skin color in the lottery of life, with unfair privileges. They are reproached for everything that goes wrong on earth and are asked to bring the guilt of their ancestors clearing continents.

The CTV host fell for it hook line and sinker. Afshin blamed red meat as one of the culprits. This article from the Salt Lake Tribune blames ”salt” Isn’t Salt Lake City the world headquarters of Morton Salt?? What next??

  7. Sunday, April 8th was the 25th anniversary of the Rwandan genocide. Michael Enright interviews Romeo Dallaire who was in command of the 2600 odd troops sent by the United Nations to keep the peace. His description of what happened is extremely depressing, especially if you ever thought the United Nations was interested in peace-keeping. An estimated 800,000 were brutally murdered, the weapon of choice, machetes imported from China.

  9. I think this is a big dot in the SNC Lavalin criminal connections to Liberal Trudeau. The Chairman of the Board of SNC Lavalin is former Clerk of the Privy Council Kevin Lynch. In this way they had major connections to the levers of power.
    Maybe it is time to do as all former colonies of Britain did, who had adopted the Westminster style Parliament. They all, everyone of them abolished the Privy Council. The only country left with a Privy Council is Canada.

    So if you don’t have a clerk of the Privy Council, you have a Head of the Civil Service. Job titles will save the world? I don’t think so. Good to see more ranting about the Privy Council. I again get to feel superior. The only functional remnant of the Privy Council is the cabinet and every country has a cabinet. The rest of the Honourables and Right Honourables in the Privy Council are honourary. Paul Martin, Jean Chretien, and Brian Mulroney aren’t running the country through the Privy Council that hasn’t met in 50 years when something like 15 people showed up. They are running the country through their hand puppet Turdeau.

      1. Scar you seem to know more than Eugene Forsey about the Privy Council. They can make law, regulation’s and rules for Canada all without being reviewed by the elected MP’s. It would be worth investigating how the Privy Council was used in the criminal acts by SNC-Lavalin it’s Chairman of the Board Lynch who was Clerk of the Privy Council before Wernick, and still a Privy Council Member. Oh I am sure he would never forget his oath and try and use his influence on behalf of his present employer SNC Lavalin. That kind of Corruption could never happen in Canada.         1. And the US doesn’t have a Privy Council and more law is likely made by the executive than the legislative branch. It’s the same in every government. Be upset about government by regulation than by some purported evil called the Privy Council. And enroll in an intro Canadian Political Science course.

          1. If you read the Constitution the Governor General rules the country with the advice of the Privy Council. There is no mention of the Prime Minister or the Cabinet. So I guess they don’t exist. The currently appointed Cabinet performs all the functions of the Privy Council. We are not really being ruled by Joe Clark, Kim Campbell and the past Cabinet members all or almost all of whom are Privy Councillors.

        2. The sr civil service has undue influence on Mp’s. Think about people like JWR and Philpott who show up in Ottawa as neophyte politicians who immediately become sr cabinet ministers.

          They fall into the clutches of their ‘advisors’ who very often have agendas.

          Many groups around the country have people placed in these positions who drive the group agenda through the minister.

          It just one of the many flaws in the Canadian system.

In other pressing news in Canada, one can channel surf onto the ever-reliable CBC Morning News, with Heather Hiscox, to check on the latest news on Trudeau’s libel lawsuit against Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer. However, there is a spacewalk on — with the fourth Canadian ever to walk in space (otherwise known as an extra vehicular activity, or EVA). Needless to say, the spacewalk takes up nearly all of Ms. Hisox’s time — so very little on the libel lawsuit.

    Meanwhile, over on CTV News, the highly regarded network — the news host, in covering Andrew Scheer’s press conference — highlighted the fact that then-prime minister Stephen Harper had also sued then Liberal Leader Stephane Dion for libel. And to press the point further, the esteemed news broadcaster had on one Errol Mendes, a highly-thought-of law professor, to give an impartial, objective analysis of the press conference. The good professor then proceeded to play down the Sunday-afternoon hiatus, saying Scheer’s statements will amount to nothing, and that, indeed, the former prime minister Stephen Harper had also sued Stephane Dion.

    Indeed, we can be thankful for Dr. Mendes’s fulsome analysis. A check of posted Election Canada records shows that the honest commentator has donated hundreds, er thousands, of dollars to the federal Liberal Party, including a small $1,124 donation in 2014. He, for example, donated $500 in April 12, 2013 for Justin Trudeau’s Liberal leadership run. Be that as it may, we can rest assured that Errol Mendes’s thousands of dollars, going to the Liberal party, in no way — I repeat IN NO WAY — colors whatever political commentary he gives on CTV News. His statements can be safely trusted, just like CTV News can be safely trusted as an unbiased broadcaster.

      1. I haven’t been all that impressed with Superstore ever since young Weston took over as boss of its parent company. I thought that his predecessor Dave what’s-his-name (remember the President’s Choice ads he used to make?) was far better at his job.

        I shop at a nearby Superstore, partly because it has certain items that I can’t get elsewhere and it often has better prices. Unfortunately, it also has an inventory control problem that’s been going on for years. Often, when certain items are out of stock, they remain so for weeks. So much for just-in-time delivery.

          With a PC MasterCard one can amass points pretty quickly by using the card everywhere and get dollars redeemed right at the cash out line upon request for redeeming ones’ points.
          I sometimes pay $20 for an $80 order and freak out the person behind me who isn’t in on it. Makes for good conversation! They say they want to shop with me.

          1. I’ve got a PC Optimum card myself. It’s nice to gather all those points and then redeem some of them. That’s a major reason why I go to Superstore.

            When I go to B. C. to work on my house, I go to the closest grocery store. which happens to be a Save On Foods outlet (formerly Overwaitea). I inherited the points on father’s card and I get a few discounts each time I shop there.

    1. I have not seen Goldie express hate for anyone. This is leftist twisting of her views. What she does is call attention to episodes of harassment that other news outlets seem to want to ignore. She also points out the uneven playing field where racist actions by non-whites are tolerated. The Facebook banning is yet another attack on our freedoms. We are going further and further down the deep hole of totalitarianism.

    1. The NDP must have spent millions digging up 10 and 20 year old dirt on Conservatives. They are desperate. There’s more to the story that was reported on CTV. Apparently Nixon was never on the old biddy’s land but his 12 year old son had shot a deer on her land and the facts were dutifully reported to the Fish and Wildlife people. Including Nixon, there were 4 people who said the old biddy was never assaulted. Nixon asserted that the old biddy was likely irritated because, at the time or since, nothing happened from her whining. Nice of the NDP to force the outing of a crime of a 12 year old. Nixon signed the peace bond because he had never seen the woman before, was never on her land, and likely would never see her again.

      2. It’s sickening what this election has devolved into. Red Rachael said she was going to take the high road and then immediately started muck raking. The ndp has no record they can tout and the record they have cannot be defended.

        This is the worst election I have endured. No talk of issues unless queer issues are for you. I try not to listen. Tomorrow the advance polls open. I plan on voting and then am going to ignore the whole sordid mess.
