  1. Unless you are protesting in Ottawa…who cares?

What you are doing is like the LA riots…burning your own house down because you are mad at the man.

    1. I disagree, finally somebody showing some guts. Let Ottawa rot back in the Liberal Swamp. Take Sask out of the Swamp

      1. In Ottawa, they will LTAO. They know who’s in charge.

On the other hand, electing people in the west at all levels if government who advocate for separation unless a new Constitution Act is passed in which a. All Senators are elected, and b.). Each province receives identical numbers of Senators, would, one way, or the other, result in the end of the abuse of the ROC, or at least the west, by OntarioQuebec. The movement should start in Alberta, and would spread like wildfire.

The day keystone xl opens should be the deadline for action.

        1. Ottawa and Toronto need to be separated from the rest of Ontario . Ontario needs to broken up into four parts as well , Southwestern Ontario needs to become the 51st state of the USA

        2. We tried “the west wants in”. We tried begging. We tried demanding.

WHERE HAS TRYING GOT US? We have tried for 100 freaking years.

Canada is over. Anyone, ANYONE, who uses “separation unless” in a sentence, is a moron.

“separation unless” means you have already flown the white flag. You are irrelevant, like Moe.

          1. Kevin,Canada has been dead for sometime now we just haven’t figured out how to bury it.

      2. I agree with watcher.
        the comparison is way off.

imagine the amount of ‘carbum’ this convoy generates.
with the TURD 2.0 have a coronary?
has he suggested anyone eat cake?

    2. Wrong! They are showing the pretend man in Ottawa and our own local Ryan Che Meile that Saskatchewan will not go down without a fight.

      1. This is not how political power works. This doesn’t inconvenience the Ottawa uniparty bums in the least, nor does it hurt them politically. It just feels good. A meaningless gesture, unfortunately.

          1. The rally is necessary to attract attention, but there should be a manifesto to go with it, ie we demand that Ryan Miele, and all other members of the assembly, of every party cease all reciprocity with Ottawa. Further, we demand that the premier stops any and all flows of revenue into Federal coffers , from any source, beyond what Sask receives from Federal programs. And the province will begin an orderly secession from confederation. Effective immediately, no Federal law will be enforced in the province if the assembly has declared it null and void within the province. In other words, make demands, and vote for no politician who doesn’t support them through ACTIONS. The political culture would start changing immediately, if people would simply organize around these ideas and insist on them.

And this would spread quickly to other provinces that have big grudges with the federal government, even though they may not be very well-known outside the province. Everyone knows Ontario/Quebec have it coming.

            Times up, Laurentian bloodsuckers!

    3. Nonsense. The federal government had better pay attention to things happening everywhere in the country. Regardless of where a demonstration happens (unless it is totally locsl), it reflects sentiment well beyond just the demonstrators. If it is a big regional rally, you can bet it is a big issue.

  2. Sound economics? Add (at least?) 20% to the cost of a product that everybody uses and depends on for their standard of living.
What could go wrong? I’m sure the economic effects will be negligible, CBC just did a “study,” arguing carbon tax “benefits.”
Funny thing, here in Victoria as gas hovers around $1.50, who are the “big emitters” who must pay again? That’s right.
As usual, we, the worker bees, are the milk and honey cattle of socialism. Somebody else gets the benefit, we get the bill.
All they have to do is concoct some bribe of payoff for voters looking for the easy way out. Off to the slaughterhouse we go.
But, As Sam Roberts sings: “there’s no road that ain’t a hard road to travel on.” They make it harder, not easier for us.
Yet we fall for it repeatedly. Now this bunch not only lies about balancing the budget, they fritter away the chance to do so.
We travel on the hard road; there’s no other road, then these political jackasses play us for fools so they can live on easy street.
I sense it all coming to an end, that the herd sees leaner days ahead. I can only hope for our country’s sake that is true.

  3. Ryan Melli, the Social Justice Warrior, bereft of arguments to justify his support of the carbon(dioxide) tax, has now resorted to hurling made up insults that have become the trope of Cult. Marxism. I predict he has, at least two more to hurl:

1.Some of the truck drivers at the protest have deliberately chosen to drive vehicles with manual transmissions instead of automatic transmissions. Meilli will claim, “Those people are guilty of auto-trans phobia !”
    2. Ryan Meilli will sooner or later claim that the organizer of the rally, Jason LeBlanc is guilty of having white privilege … because his name is Le Blanc.

When they have lost the argument or unable to construct a logical argument. All they have left-over are Ad Hominum epithets, which by definition, are invalid.

The Sask. Party government, instead of cowering or surrendering, when the Hon. Leader of the Opposition, Dr. Ryan Melli M.L.A. hurls the mud of mindless epithets across the floor of the Legislature. They could reply using critical thought, logic and scientific method, buoyed up with some subtle humour about the cognitive dissonance he spouts.

  4. Meili should be invited to meet Mr. Leblanc face to face on the grounds of the legislature and repeat his inane remarks. However this bold move could very well result in a lawsuit or a swift kick in the ass. Both of which Meili richly deserves. I can’t imagine the cowardly little rodent accepting the invitation.

  5. Yeah, I’m sure Trudeau will care what the west thinks this time.

Caligula, Commodus, Nero, Elagabalus, Tiberius, Diocletian, and the like, destroyed the mightiest empire in history in only a few short generations. The fact that the empire went on for awhile longer renting armies, and negotiating treaties, was a futile attempt to remain relevant.

The same self immolation is currently happening here.

  6. Good for Jason LeBlanc and his fellow protestors and good for Jason for telling the media where to stick their interviews as they will just misrepresent his interviews.

Eff the media is my view as well. I had enough of seeing their lies when I saw their misrepresentations of Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities.

  7. Yup, eff the ndp, the media and the u n.
And especially sock puppet and his carbon tax.

  8. Driving your trucks around in a big convoy isn’t going to solve this thing.

      1. “Perhaps but any worthwhile narrative has to lead with a good introduction.”

        I like that.

    1. Better than lying on your back like a little dog while Ottawa kicks you in the nuts. Yah yah the Canada Motto Peace Order and Good Government. Well we don’t have good government so maybe time to take away the other too. 600B tax dollars from less than 4 M people is not enough, maybe a Trillion maybe double down on your taxes. Maybe when they do like in the Ukraine when the Commies came in and swept out the cupboards everyday and wagon picked up the dead everyday. Maybe that would be enough. These guys are doing good.

      1. “…the Canada Motto Peace Order and Good Government. Well we don’t have good government so maybe time to take away the other too.”

Bingo! If one leg of a tripod ceases to exist, the other two can’t be counted on. And in the past, when that happened, some wild and crazy things took place! 🙂

    2. You’re right, people should just take it, step up and shut up. I say no thanks to the Serf-splaining.

      1. Of course you are not a serf sir. A good Canadian serf. You are not a free man. You pay more in taxes than any serf did in feudal days. They only paid roughly 10% of their annual income.

      2. You’re right! I guess tomorrow they’ll be cancelling the carbon tax! /sarc

This is just “virtue signalling” on the right.

          1. When an action is going to have a reasonable chance of being effective.

Note: I see you’re answering your own question below.

  9. Headline news from MSM….hey…look a bird! There will be nothing about this in the MSM outside of Sask!

    1. Exactly. I just checked the CTV national site and something about a new fungus attacking frogs and salamanders and something about a homophobic comment by an Alberta UCP candidate. Nothing about the trucks. Eff CTV.

  10. I think the little spud has enough troubles with his own party to make a difference. How do you think the trust fund kid is gong to feel on the downside before he even gets control of his trust fund? How deep are the Libs going to go before they have had enough over a pretend problem?

  11. Ottawa will only take notice if it looks bad for them in the press.

The only things I can think of that might cause the Liberal rats to look bad is if the T-Canada or the CN mainline was blocked causing disruptions.

Besides, that might make a good point: Here’s a taste of what Canada will look and feel like once Ottawa’s carbon taxes and other climate change bullshit brigs things to a halt.

Keep it up folks. Do it repeatedly and each time ramp up the numbers and the message. Start with a one-day disruption. And then three days, and then….etc. And let the bastards know that’s what’s going to happen.

    1. Hey if the Indians can block road and rail lines and the RCMP didndoonuffin why can’t the guys that are paying the Indian Welfare and the RCMP goofs do the same shut down the rail and the TransCanada for a day next time. Then 2 days then 3 days then 4 etc. Damn straight the Lil Puke in Ottawa Swampville will pay attention and it will make the CBC sewer too.

    1. Now that Trudeau bought Kinder Morgan for the Indians, Alberta needs to never send another drop of oil to BC and shut off the BC gas line out of Dawson Creek. Then when the BC Idiots have to expand their port to accept OIL TANKERS and pay world price for oil, you accomplish a couple of things. They expand the port, they quit fucking with pipelines and they get oil again. But in the meantime build the largest refinery in North America and do not ship them crude. Only higher priced refined products. Gasoline and diesel. Do the same with all oil going east to the Swamp.

    2. Stay tuned.

Gas prices are going up again tomorrow in the lower mainland. They are importing now from the far east. The US refineries in Washington State cant supply. Kinder Morgan is at full supply.

Maybe when it hits $2/L they will see the folly of their ways? These prices effect every aspect of life. The mare’s of Burnaby and Vancouver will see what $2 gas does when they have to pay the fuel bill for the fire trucks, garbage trucks etc. They have no money.

      1. It needs to go to $50 a litre, or $250 a litre. And keep it there. Check IDs of anyone filling up, and if they are from the lower mainline, $250 a litre, cash before they pump.

  12. Well documented Video & Audio support stream, easy for MSM to pick it up and create Long Form.
Well done Saskatchewan…. but you also need to demand Turdo & Notley resign!… such that OIL & Gas decisions are not made in the Ottawa (bribery) pig wrestling swamp…

  13. Don’t count on Ottawa to acknowledge anything. When the Alberta convoy went to Ottawa in February they were deemed a bunch of racists, thieves and yellow vesters. They were scorned. Basically run outa town. Very sad.

    1. That is why you shut down the TransCanada and the rail lines. Now both east and west now that their time is up. Squeeze until they shit.

  14. Protest is never a wasted effort,it brings those who actually care enough to act, together and serves fair warning to the enemy.
This yellow vest thing, every safety vest I own is orange, logically due to OH&S we should be the orange vest movement, which would give all the Never Done Paying Parasites a little thrill, until we can get our hands on them anyway.
Threats of separation are pointless,a straight up statement of Independence is the only Western Way.
We have already paid,we have already stated what was necessary for our continued participation in Confederated Canada. Those conditions, that we regard as fundamental to the existence of a nation, have been soundly rejected by the voters of Eastern Canada.

    Most Westerners are not parasitic idiots,outside of the “civil service” enclaves,the message has been received;
No place in Canada for property rights, equality before the law and no taxation without (fair) representation..
The voters spoke,The west is “out of step” and unwanted in the new post nation Canada.
    We are not leaving Canada.
Canada left us decades ago, everything we value, except our dollars, is unwelcome …
So why are we funding a decadent welfare state, which damages our welfare?

  15. HELP!
This is a generic comment, nothing to do with the thread subject, but SDA has a compadre of the most knowledgeable computer geeks of any site I peruse. I have been having problems of late linking to CBC sites suggested by various sites (SDA, WUWT, Davidthompson, Hallsofmacademaia, Aceofspades). The symptom is that when I engage a link to the CBC, the screen comes up for a moment and then goes white. I have sometimes been able to view the content by waiting until the screen comes up and then holding the ESC key.
I am using the most recent version of Firefox with Adblockerplus and (recently) Dissenter extension.
    Any ideas?

    1. You probably did a no-no and copied something on purpose or accidentally off their site and they are punishing you for it.
The blank screen is exactly what I get now after yrs of no problems with Firefox on CBC, but i admit I copied a really nice pic of the oil terminal at Burnaby without thinking.
I have other pics of Simon Fraser U from there but they were on post card from 1st my trip out there.
I drove alone from Calgary and got there in about 12 hrs and the first thing my friends did was take me to the bar.
What a long long long day that was.

Ironically I read their site daily for Western Canada news because to defeat your enemy, you have to know what they are thinking.
I’m not sure how long I’m going to be in the penalty box. Been about 2 or 3 weeks so far.

  16. Slightly off-topic. Bought regular gasoline in the U.S. today. It worked out to $0.90 per litre. Back in Calgary it is $1.199

We’re getting it up the butt big time by the socialists.
