  1. Lay this directly at the feet of that Renowned World Statesman:
    PM DIPSHIT himself.

If I go on…My true feelings on this rodent may come out…then I’ll get banned from this site…so i’ll just leave it there.

Zero need to explain nor justify: SEPARATION NOW.

  2. There is fungi in the Canadian crop alright! It’s an old, mouldy, leftist politic practiced by PM Pussyboots.

  3. Maybe Turdeau can do some more embarrassing “cultural appropriation”…dress up like Pu Yi and run around and giggle or something…demand that they sniff his turds.

  4. If you elect a beta male to be your leader…
Other nation’s leaders, friend and foe alike, will take note and adjust their behaviour accordingly.

*1. Allowing foreigners to money launder their loot in the real estate of your most beautiful city on the ocean front. Thus raising the cost of housing to a level where native born Canadians can no longer afford.
    2. Failing to purchase state of the art aircraft(F-35) to retain inter-operability with your allies(U.S.(NORAD/NATO), Japan, South Korea, Australia,) is to abandon the ancient wisdom of Rome, deterrence: Si Vis Pacem, Para Bellum” (If you want peace, prepare for war).
    3. Operation Sidewinder… Liberal gov’t. decides not to protect our borders from foreign organized crime.

  5. It would be better if the government had nothing to do with the ag industry. Got rid of the Wheat Board but now Scheer for brains is in the pocket of the Quebec milk mafia.

I feel bad that China is banning canola sales but this is what you get when you stake your future on selling to an unreliable customer. Part of doing good business is picking your customer portfolio and adjusting ratios for payments risk and political risk. So feel bad but also hey, that’s business. If China is not buying Canadian canola, then they are buying someone else’s vegetable oil that in turn displaces another customer. The canola seller then sells to that customer instead albeit at a potential discount but at least now you have an outlet for the volume and have diversified your political risk. So take the whining about a loss of canola sales with a grain of Unity Sifto salt. It may end up better in the long run.

    1. – And while you’re at it, please show your appreciation for our beloved trading partner, China. Start reading the “Made in” label (if you can find it and read the ultra-tiny print) – and if it says “Made in China”, you might consider putting the item back on the shelf.

      – Good luck finding anything “Made in Canada”, though…… 🙁

      1. Yeah, its hard not to buy some crap from China but we always check the label. One thing we never buy from China is food. God knows what kind of sludge they are growing things in. Seeing how crappy the China environmental record is and how good Canada and the US are at conforming to EPA and Canadian environmental regulations at high cost, China is getting a free pass. I would tariff the living hell out of Chinese imports (as Trump is doing) and use that money to reduce the GST. Now Canadians can use individual discretion to make purchases at microeconomic level and a more a level playing field. The tariff would be tied into Chinese air, water and soil quality indexes undertaken by 3rd party certifiers (challenging I know). As environmental quality improves, the tariffs will drop. I know it will never happen but that would be way better than a stupid carbon tax that is only looking at carbon which is not a pollutant and does not hurt anyone except it drives up our costs and makes us even less competitive with China.

    2. Hey, why not process all that canola seed into….canola oil. Then sell it. Bulk. Chinks won’t know who the producer is, nor will anybody else. Maybe pipeline it to Vancouver to ship on oil tankers.

Just a suggestion. I’ve got a few more, but I’d get banned.

  6. Can’t find data on yearly China canola / rapeseed purchases from Canada. Expecting to see a pattern where surplus is held. Then imports are cut off (for extraneous reasons) crashing the market to resume purchasing at a drastic reduction. Cycle should be evident in offset pattern with soy etc. There’s a name for this but ‘blacklegging’ the market works for me. Any takers on research? Assume 2 year shelf life US/Can = 4 year China.

  7. Trudeau admires China for getting things done, but they don’t share that admiration for Little Potato, more like contempt.

  8. They always link their trade policy with geopolitics.

Why should that not be done? Every lever possible.

…then again that is what we are seeing with Trump. An integrated approach to achieving the most favorable outcome for America.

  9. When asked about the Chinese canola boycott, Justin Trudeau, the Prime Minister of Quebec, looked confused and replied in French “What is canola and does this affect Quebec or SNC?” After hearing it only affects prairie farmers, Trudeau shrugged and hopped on a plane to attend a climate change conference half way around the world to brag to OPEC about land locking Alberta oil….followed by the sound of US oil reps laughing their asses off.

    1. More important concerns revolve around canola gender equity; after all the seeds could be, gasp, asexual.

      1. It was formerly known as “rape” seed. The toxic masculinity of grains and oil seeds, obviously. More soy, less rapeseed.

      1. The prairies should refuse to ship any grains or oilseeds to Quebec. No pipelines through Quebec should mean that Quebec gets no wheat, no barley, no canola, no lentils, etc. from the prairies. All processing plants must be located outside of Quebec.

        1. I always charge customers I dislike a hefty premium. Every time they irritate me I up the price. They complain the price is now too high I increase it again. Funny how many of them still stick around but now I am being rewarded for putting up with their crap. Customers that I really like I make damn sure that they are looked after and that they are getting a great deal. Happiness has a price and you can use the market to calculate it.

          1. If AB&SK separate they’ll need to increase their economic base. Stealing as many industries as possible from Quebec is a good place to start. Bread, malt, beer, pasta, vegetable oils, meat processing. More oil refineries, petrochemical, fertilizer and plastic production and anything else I’m missing. Once we’re gone we’ll have our own milk and egg production because we won’t be bound by the Canadian marketing boards.

    1. Quite possible that they will drop more hammers. However, unless it hurts Quebec don’t expect any response.

  10. it’s their BULLYING he admires. just like TURDoo 1.0.

the news item came minutes before an ad for the vaunted hauwea gadget.

  11. Reminder.

The Communist Chinese Government REQUIRES every Chinese citizen to assist Chinese Intelligence in spying on us.

“The Intelligence Law, by contrast, repeatedly obliges individuals, organizations, and institutions to assist Public Security and State Security officials in carrying out a wide array of “intelligence” work. Article Seven stipulates that “any organization or citizen shall support, assist, and cooperate with state intelligence work according to law.” Article 14, in turn, grants intelligence agencies authority to insist on this support: “state intelligence work organs, when legally carrying forth intelligence work, may demand that concerned organs, organizations, or citizens provide needed support, assistance, and cooperation.” Organizations and citizens must also protect the secrecy of “any state intelligence work secrets of which they are aware.” These clauses appear to limit the obligations on individuals to Chinese citizens, but they do not stipulate that only Chinese “organizations” are subject to these requirements.”
