And it’s about not jobs for people in parts of Canada that don’t vote Liberal.

His “apology” is about as credible as the ones I usually received whenever I caught a student cheating or copying while I was teaching. Those students were sorry, all right, but sorry that they got caught, not that they broke the rules and, worse, thought I was so dumb that I wouldn’t notice.
As far as they were concerned, it was all about passing. If they didn’t cheat, they would have failed.
Only once was someone truly contrite. He came from a society in which such an infraction meant a loss of honour and respect and he apologized for it. His behaviour indicated to me that he had learned his lesson and I let him off the hook, particularly since his accomplice confessed and took responsibility.
