  4. In the future leaving your electric car with a low battery charge to reduce how far a thief can drive it. This will be mandated by the government as “safe storage”.

    You can only have the minimum charge in the battery for a short trip, the rest of the magazine err… battery must be kept empty to reduce car crime.

    Though that leaves you vulnerable in the event of an emergency. Where have I heard of that before?

    Is ‘easy-to-steal by young punks’ yet another bug in this car’s design, or was the owner negligent? Curious minds want to know… so I found this since the story itself doesn’t clearly state which model Tesla it was…
