My modest proposal is to promote celibacy and the benefits of a child-free lifestyle in non–STEM post-secondary programs. Use both carrot and stick to encourage them to end their genetic line.
Stick : guilt about overpopulation and the environment. A never ending guilt trip about carbon footprints and resource depletion. Fire and brimstone apocalyptic doom.
Carrot: give them what they crave most – virtue signalling points and attention. Start an app style Good Global Citizen Leaderboard that lets woke Puritans accumulate virtue points and compete for top spots (in an intersectional, progressive stack way, of course). To the winners go monetary rewards, national medals of honor and “atta peoplekind” from woke celebrities. But only promote this to students enrolled in psychology, education, fine arts, political science and all other social science and humanities programs.
All virtue signaling on social media and IRL would give them points but not reproducing should be the primary point achievement. Every year without a child gives 100,000 points…we could have this wokescold Puritan problem cleaned up in a generation or so merely by giving Darwin’s Natural Selection a helping hand.

Not to criticize your remarks, but just for discussion re over population: Ibitson has an interesting book called Empty Planet. In it he points out that birth rates are declining dramatically in almost every country. He argues world population will peak around 9 billion and then start to decline.
Birth rate for a stable population is 2.1 children per woman. US birth rate is 1.9. Canada is 1.6.

Still above replacement rate, which may be your valid point. My point is the birth rate is dropping planet wide.
Mark Steyne’s book “America Alone” was about that topic of demographics. At the time he said America had stable numbers ,alone in the West.. I guess they have slipped. The abortion industry are doing their part. Pretty scary forecast for us. I have been called a White Nationalist by the successfully educated described in the essay. Shhhh…The Shaker Project relies on wokescolds being absolutely ignorant of facts. The pseudo-religious aspect cultivates a cult-like insulated, twisted view of reality that is impervious to facts and data. The Population Bomb will be one of the sacred texts. Like other cults, you ascend by complete immersion and unthinking loyalty. A thousand steps taking you from deplorable level, all the way to comrade, prophet and even Gaia level.
If you really want to be Machiavellian then you make an app rule that you can steal a percentage of other people’s good citizen points -but only from those above you on the Leaderboard- if you denounce them for any minor infraction of wokeness. The only problem I see in that otherwise amusing proposal is that these traits are not hard wired into DNA but are learned within a toxic cultural environment. Those kids described by modern incomprehensible jargon are actually victims of child abuse masquerading as public education. They are products of the institutional left. Devoid of any normal human feelings and out to make everyone around them as miserable as they are. They just haven’t got around to having enough power to do things to us. I found the following sentence particularly poignant in today’s atmosphere, “They live to denounce. It’s like having 25 Robespierres around you three times a week. They’re always on the lookout for something to be outraged about.”
The author of this article, Rod Dreher, mentions Patrick J. Deneen as the author of some essays. Deneen also wrote the book, “Why Liberalism Failed”, which I just finished reading. Summed up, Deneen suggest in his book that Liberalism has been too successful and has created a society that is falling apart and will go in one of two directions.

You know … “one man’s terrorist, is another man’s freedom fighter”. No it isn’t. One man’s religion calls for the brutal execution of apostates and infidels … while another says to “love your enemies”. Anyone. Anyone who “equates” those two Religious philosophies should never get anywhere NEAR our children’s minds.
The highly refined “indifference about our culture” is the product of making everything equal. It’s not. It never has been, and it never will be. Sorry to tell you, but there IS evil in this world … and it is being spread by our public school teachers (my own wife excepted … as she perfectly embodies the trinity of an ideal teacher according to the headmaster of Sequitur Academy she loves God, loves her subject, and loves her students).

The fly in the ointment is that one of the women claiming to be the kissee in the photograph has been quite clear that it was an unwanted and nonconsensual act. I’m not going to go digging for it, but I recall reading an interview where she was quite upset and affronted by being mashed like that at the time.
History is a complicated thing, and the simpler the narrative the more likely it is to be wrong.
