  1. Yep. All depends which way you point the camera, and how you crop the shot.

This is why I don’t have cable anymore. Watching cable TV makes you dumber and less informed.

    1. Further to that, recall what Mark Twain said: “If you do not read a newspaper you are uninformed; if you do read a newspaper, you are misinformed!”

      1. 21st Century update, Mr. Twain from beyond the grave: “… and if you watch network TV you are disinformed.”

Thank you, Soviet Union. Like herpes, the gift that keeps on giving.

    2. Photojournalism beautifully explained … NOTHING in life can be accurately described in a single snapshot. What an amazing statement (paraphrased) by a Photojournalist. He knows EXACTLY what the camera’s point of view describes … and it is ALWAYS incomplete. It is ALWAYS biased and constructed to push a narrative. And then the photo card is “curated”, “edited”, and published to further deceive by the editorial staff working in the “news” room.

And yet we simpletons drink it up. Buy the deception.

My old HS offered an English elective class called “Mass Media”. Only because we had ONE teacher who was years ahead of this Documentary … Mr. Reeves, if my creaky old memory is right. His class focused mainly on advertising and how the images and messaging were manipulating the viewer. But he also taught us that the “news” media are doing the exact same thing. Mr. Reeves taught me to be an informed skeptic, and wise consumer of the mass media

Perhaps this is why I have ALWAYS been skeptical about what the news is “preaching”. I say “preaching” because I just saw a part of the film Elmer Gantry on my cable last night, and there is a great scene in the local newspaper editors office … just after a vicious anti-Christian, anti-evangelical revivalist tent tour editorial … Elmer Gantry exposes the newspapers “preaching” as equal to anything he says at a Christian Revival. That every argument is born of a biased viewpoint, and demands “equal media time” to spread his message in depth. I wonder if Sinclair Lewis realized what he was writing when he penned that scene. His work is perhaps the most HATEFUL cartoon of Christians ever constructed. Not to say charlatans such as Jim and Tammy Faye Baker exist … but his brush is far too broad in taking on the entirety of Christianity as utterly devoid of truth. So he was an atheist … “preaching” and proselytizing his beliefs by creating a FAKE preacher to symbolize all that he despises. Well … that’s just Marxists, being Socialists, being Marxists.

  2. Bill Hicks is controlled opposition. He’s allowed to show a little (like a severely watered-down version of what transpires at Bohemian Grove), but will never reveal the trail of breadcrumbs to where all of this originates.

    At the Vatican.

  3. Thank you, Kate. Best video I’ve watched in quite a while. Well worth the time spent.
Many SDA folks will recognize many of the personalities who took part in this production.

  4. The story is of the dark nature of the media cartel.
It reveals the media cartel being in firm control of the narrative. The network talking heads will lie directly into the camera with full force of nothingess.
The emerging media is in contradiction of the media cartel. They have an insignificant mouthpiece relative to the media cartel. They are only listened to by those that want to know more that the daily “news” feed.
Those that want to know are looked down upon as anyone here could have experienced. Those looking down only know what’s fed to them. They don’t even want to understand that people here have variety of opinions, hardly in unison. They don’t know that people here don’t eat stories from different sources as truth, people here dig for truth. People here know that if you have no ideology, it is relatively easy to find it at your keyboard.
They, the childlike, just don’t know and, as it appears, don’t want to know.

Just wonder how many of those listed at the end disassociated themselves from the program.

    1. Sharyl Attkisson, the former NBC reporter who was driven from the media business, writes in her new book, “The Smear”, that everything you read, see, and hear in the news is tainted by propaganda.

  5. Thanks Kate for the video well worth the time. FAKE NEWS cut and splice videos & speech. I did recognize I read on blogs and listen to on youtube, now I know what happened to some of my favourites that have been prohibited from telling the REAL NEWS.

  6. I enjoyed this doc. Cernovitch and others are right to expose the MSM for the lazy liars that they are. Many thanks. Let’s hope that they continue to get the word out.

(FNC, not part of the documentary, deserves credit for their reporting during the American elections – kudos to them, particularly for exposing the crowd sizes of each candidate. Pictures can’t lie.)
