Was really funny to see tweets from one urinalist laughing about her professors saying that Tim Pool was the future of journalism, then shortly after a tweet about their layoff.
That Diocese is going to have some long line-ups at it’s confessionals. ‘Father, it has been one week since my last time rushing to cruelly attack some innocent young Christians in my care so that I may bask in some pious self-righteousness.’

One of the realities that many partisans can’t seem to digest is that there are plenty of Lib/Dem Christians, too…. not to mention Conservative atheists, for that matter. Look, I grew up in the Catholic school system and almost all of my family and friends are Christian. As an ‘atheist’, I am willing to stand with my Christian allies and protect their right to practice their faith, but even more, to protect history and the Christian heritage that primarily built western civilization. It’s hard to get motivated though when I don’t see much enthusiasm to push back, especially from Christians themselves.

That’s my thinking too. If I was that bishop and I failed my flock so miserably and publicly, I would understand I was not cut out to be a church leader and hang up my frock. Unfortunately the priesthood isn’t attracting a lot of good men these days.
I wonder about the time line. Did the diocese make any effort to get the other side of the story. Keep in mind that even the chaperones and the students on the bus may not have been initially aware of this story or that it went viral. I’m not interested in defending the diocese, but reminding all that these attacks often succeed because they are an ambush.
