Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Seems there is some doubt as to whether Elkmont is in Alabama or Canada. I’d be betting this is close kin to Phaque Nooze.
Love the bloodhound story. In case someone here is new to internets here is a related classic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LjBUZ43bLjE
Looks like it’s Elkmont Alabama. Reported in Canadian Running magazine. Good story.
How can anyone stay mad at that face?
Sure, the dog cut in but he got to seventh place. That’s something, right?
How can anyone stay mad at that face?
Exactly. I’d be tempted to scratch her behind the ears or maybe her belly. I, of course, would expect lots of lick and wag in return.
Finishing in 7th place after being side-tracked to sniff something or playing with cows. Impressive!
That beast would hoodwink you with his puppy eyes, he would!
Reason he came in 7th is cause the 6th place guy had treats.
Of course!
The dog was self-identifying as gender neutral runner.
The story is actually three years old. The race has been remanded the “Houndog Half-Marathon,” which is a great name, with a great story to go with it. Now I want run it next January.
