  1. Canadian Yellow Vest Movement releases unofficial manifesto

Since then the movement has spread throughout other areas of France and neighboring countries including Belgium. Today the movement is generally perceived as a populist uprising against EU policies and festering economic mismanagement.

Now it seems that the movement has crossed the ocean and has been imported into Canada.

    1. How soon before Facebook shuts that page down? I predict it will happen next weekend over the Christmas Holidays.

    1. What part of “shall not be infringed” is unclear to any US Judge?

And the recaptcha will not function with my choice of browser, so had to use chrome (grr)

  2. Re: the package thieves…

I was thinking that red paint or a note about doxxing the thieves would have been good too but the thieves had the address of the inventor of the bogus package, therefore that mightn’t have been a good idea. The inventor spent a lot of time and money on this great revenge tool, especially with so many cell phones. Perhaps this is marketable, and that was one of the goals? Shame on the thieves though, they are now YouTube stars. Ha!

    1. The package is technologically impressive engineering. It is weak tea in the revenge department. It got stolen what four times. I’ll bet that none the various thieves gave the least bit of thought about becoming an honest person. Yeah It makes a nice video, but hardly qualifies as revenge.

        1. Ya, similar to exploding stolen bank notes. Indelible ink that would be very difficult and costly to remove, and draw attention to police if it exploded inside a car, that was pulled over at a later date.

      1. I agree. While brilliantly inventive and clever I would have zero interest in wasting brain power on these thieving pukes; what they look like, where they unwrapped the package etc. They’re all a dime a dozen.
Spring loaded dog shit might be just as good at less cost.

    2. I’d prefer an exploding dye pack (like the banks use) combined with either Liquid Ass (yep, real stuff) or better even some masking scent used by hunters, usually made out of skunk musk or fox urine. Because fuck these people, that’s why.

  3. I thought I’d stop whining for a change and tell everyone at SDA of a great energy presentation by Chris Slubicki. Skip the intro and go to the main presentation at 4:30.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M99ybq4qXls

Chris talks about the energy industry in a way you probably have heard before. I know you will find it quite informative

A teaser from the presentation: Who produces more green house gas emissions Apple or Suncor? Suncor is a big oil company in Canada very active in the Alberta oilsands.

Another teaser: why did Leo DiCaprio rent an enormous yacht with two helipads?

Ok, I whined a bit with the teasers 🙂 , but Chris explains why the oil and gas industry is not going away. He explains energy usage in a way you may not have heard before. He talks about energy demand in a way you may not have heard before.

I hope you enjoy his presentation

    1. What people forget, or deliberately ignore, is that the use of fire was the first thing that enabled human development. All life forms require energy, normally through the process of combustion, and human unleashed the power of external combustion, making food more productive and enabling brain size growth.

    2. Chris is right that the oil and gas industry is not going away, but that is elsewhere in the world. It is going away fast in Canada by deliberate design by our own government.

We are also Venezuelans. Soon our dollar will be called the Buttbuck.

  4. it did not take long for a police force to start abusing the new drunk driving law. Calgary police are now requiring breathalyzers from every driver that is stopped.

    1. f ing communists. Canada is such a screwed up place. Communists in all levels of government and the police. Man we are stupid.

    2. Nobody seems to be asking why this new police privilege is focused only on drunk drivers and not stoned drivers.
I think it’ll be used to skew the statistics, showing there’s no rise in druged drivers. Any driver stopped that has had a drink or a couple beers, and smoked pot,,, will statistically be categorized as a drunk driver, not a stoned driver.

All to save face for Turdeau.

    3. Why don’t they start frisking ethnic kids in the inner cities? I suspect they would find one or two cases of weapon and drug possession. Probably more productive that giving breathalyzers randomly. There isn’t one judge in Canada who is going to give Trudeau’s new fascist law a pass.

    4. The upside to this is that maybe people will be so furious about this nonsense that they will seriously give Liberals the boot in 2019. Requiring this of every stopped driver is a serious abuse of authority.

  5. Great Leader Kim Jung Trudeau is holding his year end press conference Wednesday. Mats will be placed on the floor for his adoring loyal media to drool on. Unifor journalists will be given lots of time to ask how wonderful he is. Maybe he will have that new $1,250.00 a day advisor with him, to hand out envelopes of cash to reporters. He then will be visiting dairy farmers in northern Ontario. Obviously that is more important than oil workers in Alberta or Canadians being held in China.

    1. O.J., great post, and I like your comment about prayer mats and drooling. One quibble: the cash will be dispensed off camera after the press conference.

    1. Watcher, so far CBC News and the Globe and Mail are censoring the story. Must protect the liberal elites, eh?

    1. And Toronto’s diverse black community held a drive by shooting in front of a public school as the kiddies were getting out today. Diversity is our strength! -Justin Trudeau

  6. Don’t just break them up, BURN THEM DOWN:

    https://www.nytimes.com/2018/12/18/technology/facebook-privacy.html

    An example:
“Facebook also allowed Spotify, Netflix and the Royal Bank of Canada to read, write and delete users’ private messages, and to see all participants on a thread — privileges that appeared to go beyond what the companies needed to integrate Facebook into their systems, the records show. Facebook acknowledged that it did not consider any of those three companies to be service providers.”

Hmm, seems like a valid defence against hate speech laws. No Your Honor, I did not send those hateful islamophobic messages, maybe it was RBC.

  7. The media is reporting that a third Canadian has been kidnapped by the commie Chinese. But don’t worry, Groper is on the job. He is visiting dairy farmers today.

    1. Yes John just came to post the same. Make Justina Many Socks, can send the Ukrainian Stuffed Sausage of a Foreign Minister. And she can end up in a Chinese Laundry as well. Ha Ha Ha. Canada the Justina Powered Laughing stock. Canada has been left flapping in the wind by the USA. Big Brother has withdrawn his Umbrella of Protection.
But Oh well Canadians have looked down their nose at the USA for years. Now we find that perhaps instead of spending Billions more each year on Bilingualism, Multiculturalism, and fake Infrastructure grants, for Museum’s of Multicult, with endless displays of Superior Culture, like Farting and Tapdancing maybe we should have spent more on our Defenses.
Heck Canada spends more on First Nations, what ever that is another Fake Concept, but worth more than the whole Canadian Defense Budget each year.
Heck Canada can not even build a pipeline anymore. The UN runs Canada, maybe Wee Justina can call out the Blue Helmets to attack China? Ha Ha Ha. https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2018-12-19/china-arrests-third-canadian-feud-worsens

    2. O.J., great post, and I like your comment about prayer mats and drooling. One quibble: the cash will be dispensed off camera after the press conference.

    3. On another point, the pro-Liberal Globe and Mail reports an unnamed Global Affairs official, as saying G.A. doedn’t think this detention is related to the other two detentions. Yeah, right.

    4. I wonder if the Chinese could be persuaded to kidnap Justin and Freeland. That would help our country a great deal.

      1. That reminds me of something that happened while I was teaching.

During the year, there was a week or so of fund-raising for a certain charity. Part of the proceedings involved “kidnapping” certain people and holding them for ransom in a makeshift jail. The hostages could be released if they got someone to pledge a specified amount.

One year, my department chairman was selected. He called our offices to see if he could get some of us to donate money.

The thought of leaving him in that jail provided a degree of mirth and merriment, so none of my colleagues nor any of our support staff pledged anything.

  8. Caracas is crumbling under “populism”. The only solution according to the locals is foreign intervention.

    https://www.theguardian.com/cities/2018/dec/18/the-fallen-metropolis-the-collapse-of-caracas-the-jewel-of-latin-america

I would like to thank Venezuelans for their courage in demonstrating to the rest of the world the power of “socialism” (not populism, but nice one trying to slip that in). But you’re not done yet Venezuela. Hang in there for a few more years until your GDP is “0” and then you will have won.

    1. Turdeau is a great example of populism. Legalizing pot, playing off good looks, governing by selfie, etc.

  9. Coming soon to Canaduh!!!!
Ontario and Quebec re-elect Trudope in the fall of 2019. Toilet paper runs out summer of 2020.
    Vote Mad Max ’19 !!!!!!

    1. Max seems to be one of the few politicians with his head screwed on right. The other `leaders`are definitely lacking leadership skills — Justin at the helm of the Liberals is an absolute embarrassment. While I cringe at the idea of vote splitting opening the door to another 4 years of Liberal pursuit of globalist goals, I am thinking that if Justine can be kept in minority territory, votes for Conservatives and PPC could perhaps come together to form a majority. Now that ignores the role of the NDP, so I guess Lib votes would need to collapse a lot. Anyway, Max is about the only politician presenting a vision for Canada moving forward. I am sick of Canada taking a back seat to the needs of the rest of the world with all of its disfunctionality.

  10. Trump undermines Canada in Huawei arrest.

    https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/trump-undermined-canada-huawei-arrest-1.4951409

What I can’t get over is the fact that the CFO of Huawei was arrested at a time of very tense trade negotiations between the US and China. Talk about the worst time to arrest someone accused of breaking trade agreements. This whole thing was set up by the US. The CFO is currently confined “to her home in Vancouver”. Meanwhile a third Canadian has been detained in China. And who is Canada’s foreign affairs minister? Christia Freeland, who was in the news every day over the NAFTA saga and now seems to be MIA.

  11. Bongo’s personal ratings have fallen to 27%. He’s now below Scheer.
The country is recognizing him as the court jester he is. Not a serious person.

    1. I’m not surprised. Der Spiegel‘s been a left-leaning hack rag for decades.

  12. oh look, another class action against the red tunics:
    https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/canada/class-action-filed-against-northern-rcmp/ar-BBRbccH?li=AAggXBV&ocid=mailsignout

anybody seen a ‘cops are tops’ bumper sticker lately? I thought not. betcha they dont even make them anymore.
do NOT defend them. ‘whaaaalll theres lots of gooooood cops’ (how can you tell which ones? they all act the same, wear the same uniform, ‘enforce’ the same laws, share the same supervisors, subject to the same training and evaluation and promotion system)

    1. Add to that the idiotic interest policies of Jerome Powell, the chairman of the Fed. That twit raised interest rates yet again and wants to jack them up even more in the next year.

Say hello to the next Great Depression.

    1. Yep sounds like a socialist in the vein of Lenin, Hitler, Stalin, Mao.
The antifa black shirts remind me of Hitler’s SS and Gestapo.

  13. My city Manager QUIT … because of his concern about … Global Warming

    https://www.npr.org/2018/12/19/677769617/for-one-city-manager-climate-becomes-a-matter-of-conscience

Here is his 2017 salary …
    https://publicpay.ca.gov/Reports/Cities/Cities.aspx?year=2017&rpt=9

    Salary: $ 323,000.00
    Benefits: $ 72,000.00

Yeah, he quit because of his concern for … Climate Change … yeah, it had nothing to do with his GIGANTIC pension … which will be added to his NEXT city Manager job (double dipper). PS … his “job” at this city could be accomplished by any average college graduate … yes, even one with a Women’s Studies “degree”. Frankly, by anyone with a HS degree and basic intelligence.

Government salaries are completely out of control. Not to mention pensions. Climate change my ass. This “environmentalist” is one of the 1% elite, filthy rich government employees in our country. Filthy $rich$

BTW … it’s bullshit leftist faux-environmental stories like this that make NPR … un-listenable for me. This FRAUD is presented as some kind of a military hero … when in fact he is a massively overpaid schmuck.
