Trudeau’s vulnerability shows up in poll

Don’t believe the hype, Trudeau isn’t guaranteed a repeat win let alone a landslide. The latest poll shows Scheer and the Conservatives have stronger core support and have more Canadians willing to consider voting for them than Trudeau’s Liberals.

  1. I’m not that optimistic, as sometime in the next couple of months the media will go into overdrive to shill for Trudeau in preparation for the prospective election. That is unless Trudeau opts for an early election. PM Shiny Pony will toss his pretty hair around the country, the media will remind us of many accomplishments, and the gullible public will fall for it once again. The MSM will not remind people that PM Butts has almost single handily destroyed the economy of western Canada.

    1. As much as I personally would like to see more fire showing in Scheer, one has to admit that the press will have a hard time selling him as “scary” and this may be enough to get him elected.

    2. I don’t know, Ken (Kulak),

The thing that I think is in favour of the CPC is that there’s not much else Justine can say.

He has pretty well blown the wad already with a full frontal assault on our heritage and political correctness.

He has not much to say that could sway voters his way.

    3. I have to agree with Ken (Kulak), once the media gears up for the election, it will be effusive praise for Trudeau and the Liberals but only negative coverage for the Conservatives, just like it’s been for decades, and it will work. I know a lot of lib-left voters who only get their news from CBC and like-minded media, they have no inkling of what’s really going on.

      1. Tim Hudak, Mitt Romney, John McCain and Patrick Brown thought the same thing. But the Canadian media, especially the CBC, is rotten to the core and it is not going to work.

      2. that the lies and distortion actually work indicates the intellectual level of the average voter.

        1. o w g, are you referring to the upcoming Cdn fed election or every fcukin election since the greek’s tried it?
sheeple. people really are sheeple. this fact continues to give us the likes of attila the hun, communist mass murderers, and george dubya who handed the keys to the vault over to his ‘no contract tender required’ inner circle in the days following ‘mission accomplished’. did he buy stock in halliburton or was that just an insider trading tip?
(it’s called propaganda and boy oh boy does it ever work when done correctly)

    4. What occurred in Quebec (RE: CAQ victory) is quite telling of what Justin could lose.

He may very well hang onto his seat but it’s quite possible that he’ll never occupy dad’s office again.

      1. With that gay Canadian T-shirt in San Francisco, he’d be wise to hang on to his seat 🙂

        1. nah….while standing, he spends most of his time holding on to his non existant balls.

I give you PM Eunuch …

  2. More and more people lie to polls. Pollsters are unable to get representative sample sizes due to call screening and dropped land lines. More and more people distrust the media. The Liberals will be destroyed next election. Scheer is liberal lite and borderline useless. Don’t expect much change from that lamb while the lion to the south roars louder.

    1. No conservative is going to tell some stranger over the phone….a stranger that has their name, phone, and address
..not with the way the liberals are attacking people

    2. ” Scheer is liberal lite and borderline useless”

Scheer. It had to happen – sooner or later someone would come along who would make Joe Clark look like Rambo.

      1. Haha Jamie, so true but may I offer a correction
” Scheer is liberal lite and useless on the borderline”

  3. Are these the same pollsters that guaranteed Hillary POTUS, that BREXIT would fail, that Bolsonaro has no chance, that Trump was a joke, that the Dems are sweeping the midterms, that CAQ was a fringe, that Maduro is popular, …?

When they get 3 correct in a row, I will start listening to their prognostications again. Until then, I will ignore them.

    1. No, this is my interpretation of their polls. And I called Brexit right by looking at public polls, I called Trump right by looking at the same. I called Scheer to win CPC leadership after first ballot results, you can ask Anthony Furey who was standing next to me.
I called Ford to win Ontario when no one would. I called the 2011 CPC majority when their own campaign manager had them in a minority in the office pool.
I have a very good, but not perfect track record.
All of it based on public polling because I read the results without my bias. When I let my bias slip in, I get it wrong.

  4. PM Payout is constantly campaigning. I’ve seen some of the recent Con ads: “In over his head”. Pathetic. As bad as “Just not ready.”
When your enemy is choking, step on their throat and finish them: Money to Khadr, Laughs at child deaths, healing lodges for psychopathic child killers, “we can’t afford to pay” our veterans, f’n pipelines, “get the f–k out of my way”… You can run an hour of his ignorant, smug, self-righteous recordings. He’s a walking talking twat.
I swear the stupid Cons hire liberal marketers – are there any other kind?- to produce their flaccid attempt at “attack ads”.
Liberals used the image of a dead Syrian boy to advance themselves in the minds of simpleton Canadians coast to coast. The Cons need to fight back, FFS! Its not like they need to lie. The man walks the traitorial tightrope everyday.

    1. “I’ve seen some of the recent Con ads: “In over his head”. Pathetic. As bad as “Just not ready.””

The ad should be, “Trudeau and his Liberals – they just don’t care”

    2. What you need is a Canadian Trump. Ain’t gonna get that with your communist, Turd World arschlecker, passive sheep society. Pray that Alberta becomes the 51st state and watch the Utopian dream come crashing down.

      1. But if there had not been a Fox news south of the border, Trump would not have won….the truths about Hillary would have remained covered up, and the truth about Trump’s support would have stayed hidden.
The Fox people are & were not perfect, but at least they were there as an alternative to CNN.
We have no broadly disseminated alternative here, although I thank Rebel & Brian for keeping the faithful informed.

        1. As many have mentioned here…. it is the media who elected Trudeau, and it is them who will be campaigning the hardest to get him re-elected. They would be the reason behind him getting another term. THEY are the enemy (of Canada) that must be countered.
Remember how Mansbridge & co. circled the wagons, and would not allow the CPC to air some of the asinine statements made by Trudeau….. even though those statements had already been broadcast across the country by their own networks?
The CPC does not need to have attack ads. All they need are collages of things Trudeau has said & done.
Trudeau, left to his own devices, should not win this election. Trudeau, with the CBC, CTV, Global, Globe & Mail, etc. on his side, just may do it again.

        2. Exactly. Millions watch Fox, but comparatively few watch the Rebel, read Brian, or the read the generally conservative various Sun papers. National Post basically shilled for Trudeau during the last federal election.

    3. Buddy, I couldn’t agree more! When I saw the CPC ads last go-round, I kept looking for the follow-up to “Just not ready”. Never came. We got creamed. There is SO much to work with. DO IT!

    4. I could not Agree more Buddy. This 2 bit VACUOUS simpleton in the PMO is a walking BillBoard W/Megaphone as to why one should NOT Vote for him: 100% Pro Islamic – Hates the Military (a FRENCH thing), and its Vets, Hates Western Canada (Genetic), and seems to have a love of all things Pedophilic – Deviant – Deadly.

No Conservative Leader in this country has EVER had such a MOUNTAIN of material with which to Bury Their Liberal opponent – EVER. Question is, will the Marxist Media show it.? Allow it on their networks..? This Coming election should be a Smackdown – Cakewalk if done right…..I’m just not sure Mr “nice guy” Scheer and his wanker advisers have the “steel” to do so. To Date I’ve seen nothing to that effect…

Dont count Max out of this…. HE will come out swinging.

  5. On the surface, the analysis shows promise.

In reality, the left is ambiguous in their party allegiance, they will shift to any one of the three, based on “keep those evil conservatives OUT”. This is what happened in the last election, as the ENDP collapsed and the idiot Libs benefitted.

    1. Yep. and don’t forget the Jerry Diaz Army over at UNIFOR and the Canadian/Trudopian Media Guild, they will all be voting for whats best for them and they will campaign hard for the imbecile Justine, and his boss PM Butts.

    1. Maybe not lost, but when was the last time you heard a liberal mention Paul Martin’s name?

    1. Yes, and when your beloved JBTs show up to collect your guns, reassure them that you realize they are just doing their job and offer fellatio to each of them.

    1. Turdo minority, No-Testicles Sheer will offer no challenge until Doug ford’s first term is over. Then things will get interesting… that is the best case scenario, either that or we’re FUBAR.

  6. Nope… the globalists have a stranglehold on the Trudopian population, a population that believe it an act of “progressivism” to vote for a traitorous psychopath surrounded by one foreign funded radical after another. The Media and their Unions will do as they did last time and campaign hard for the Molester while simultaneously attacking all who dare challenge or criticize the Sock Retard… its all so predictable. Constitutionally divided Trudopians will double down on the stupid and vote for the idiot again, guaranteed. The good news is that Trudopia will finally come to its flatulent end, with another Trudeau leading the way… as is said… “you can’t cure stupid”… and Trudopia is as stupid as it gets.

  7. Three main observations from this perch:

CPC has highest core support, over 50% higher than the LPC and more than double the NDP. Very important number.

While 37% would never support the CPC, the Grits, Dippers and Greens are pretty much 50% or more won’t vote for them.

All three parties have about the same “likely to vote” support, but the CPC with majority threshold counting core and likely.

Conclusion: this is not a runaway for the LPC (hardly, sorry Nanos) nor a slam dunk for the CPC and Scheer.

The voters want change, but they also did with Harper, which he offered, which the Grits and their sycophants slandered as “establishment’ while our media class dressed Justin up as one of the people.

This cannot be allowed to happen again. Talk over them, around them, through them, but don’t let them take you off message.

It goes without saying a resonant message is required, but the CPC is the best at formulating policy, so they should be good.

They will have to fight a fifth column action from our unethical mediocracy, elitist spinners and fascist identists.

Some nice solid policies like promising to build the Canada East pipeline, no carbon taxes and revamping our tax system.

While I am hopeful, and understand the election is still a year away, I have yet to see any of this from the CPC so far.

    1. Very sensible, Shamrock. What most of those commenting here are missing is that Ipsos-Reid generally does their polling work thoroughly. As to a year away, again entirely correct. A year is an eternity in politics.

As for the media whoring to the Liberals, it seems to have escaped most folks here that the average voter doesn’t put nearly as much credence in blab from the TV nightly news as it used to. It should also be remembered that CBC news runs dead last in viewership in every media market in which it has to compete with other networks.

  8. James, if truth be told the ad would read “Trudeau and his Liberals – they hate you.”

Martin Armstrong, who forecasts economics and geopolitics, says that people everywhere are throwing out their current Governments. It’s a form of revolt and we certainly saw it in Ontario. Trudeau is seen internationally for the inept fool he is. The clear eyed people here know he is dangerous for the future of Canada. Perhaps Scheer is not interfering while the enemy is busy making mistakes.

    1. “Perhaps Scheer is not interfering while the enemy is busy making mistakes.”

Sure. Just like Dorothy’s lion buddy didn’t interfere.

  9. Words of caution, “Don’t get cocky”. Come election time the liberal media will go full court press on Scheer, and will never mention a Liberal wrong. You will be inundated with, “troops in the streets” analogies and a return to the dark days of Harper rhetoric. Liberals will announce free money for all, and the plebs will eat it up. Even if somehow, the Conservatives pull out a win, probably a minority, it just means you get Justin lite. No joy in Mudville to be had.

  10. Shiny Pony has at least 2 more majority governments left in him. After that there will be nothing left to govern anyways.

  11. Wait for some dopey incidents and then I’d like to see is CPC say the dope laws go back to 2017 in 2019.
The weeping and gnashing of teeth would be hilarious.

  12. His old man wen’t from majority to minority in 4 years. Bongo has accumulated a lot of baggage. These are different times. The MSM is not what it was 50 years ago.
Bongo will run against Trump. The NP suggested that in ’15 he made 350 election promises (est). Maybe he’ll have another 350 that voters will swallow but somehow I don’t think so.
The campaign should be ugly. Bongo on defense the whole time. He’s got his ‘record’ to defend.

    1. Abtrapper, what it will take is a CPC party that has the balls to raise the issues that Stupid Turdeau espouses. Turdeau is a f’n idiot. The world has to be reminded.

    2. The MSM is not what it was 50 years ago

Abtrapper, quite true, they are even more lickspittleish.

  13. Never underestimate just how dumb and grotesque the average Canadian voter is.
We’re looking at another Liberal majority.

  14. “the press will have a hard time selling him as “scary”

Never underestimate the stupidity and total lack of common sense that permeates this country. Harper was statesmanlike, intelligent, classy, unassuming and from all reports, generally just a good guy. You know, the kind of guy that you could have a beer with or watch a ball game. Yet the mendacious media portrayed him as a cold-hearted, calculating, secretive, dictatorial villain and the public, for the most part lapped it up. The media will do much the same with Scheer with probably the same result.

    1. You and Jeff nail it. For all the optimism expressed above, the press will go full shill for Trudeau and constantly remind everyone how evil the Conservatives are. Throw in a few goodies like free prescriptions for all and Butts and Climate Barbie get to further destroy Canada’s economy.

I still cannot get that vision of the sixty something white haired lady saying to the SunNews reporter in a street interview when asked if she would vote for Trudeau replied, “Oh yes, he has such pretty hair”. That sums up the mentality of the average Canadian voter.

      1. “Throw in a few goodies like free prescriptions for all and Butts and Climate Barbie get to further destroy Canada’s economy. ”

Trudeau’s regime really shot itself in the foot by revoking the tax write-off for bus fare to get poor people to work or even to the grocery store and back home. That alone is going to cost the urban vote big time.
Eliminating a lot of different tax write-offs is going to be understood as raising taxes and breaking the promise not to do so.
(weasel arguments to the contrary notwithstanding)

    2. Trudeau has so many weaknesses, you could beat him riding by riding with a focused campaign on just a few issues with local interest in each riding.

  15. The poll also shows that Scheer is an unknown to most Canadians. That’s kind of pathetic but also perhaps hopeful. Maybe they will like him more with exposure? The opposite could happen though. Whatever, I’m voting Bernier anyway.

  16. The polls are all fake. Trudeau is about the most hated man in Canada right now and the hatred only subsides momentarily when his handlers lock him in a closet (no pun intended) for an extended period of time. But during an election he’s going to have to come out of that closet (again, no pun intended) and open his big, fat, stupid mouth. At that point I’m hoping for a Conservative/PPC majority coalition with the Liberals coming in dead last.

  17. One of the nice things about being everybody’s grandma’s favourite nephew is that you enjoy lower negative ratings than just about anybody.

But does that by itself win elections?

Actually, from what I’ve seen over the years, very likely not.

  18. More bad news in Gritland, perhaps still consoled by Nanos?

“A new Forum poll says the federal Conservatives would win a majority government if an election were held today.”

Some 1,226 Canadian voters were asked for whom they’d vote if an election were being held immediately. From that sample, the Conservative party would allegedly win support from 41% while the Liberals would take only 32% of the vote.”

Another 15% would vote NDP, with 7% voting for the Green Party, and 4% would cast a vote for the BQ.”

How low, American Dem fascist style, will our betters have to slither under to prevent voters’ “worst instincts?”

  19. if scheer even *promises* to reduce the Crap and Bullshit Corp budget he’s got my vote.
that’s where he needs to start. take a fcukin gamble asswipe, otherwise it’s all the same-old-same-old.
