I was WRONG about Bush. WRONG about the WAR in Iraq. I was in favor of the war in Iraq but for different reasons.
IT WAS UNFINISHED BUSINESS. Colin Powell should have pushed on to Baghdad and removed Saddam in Gulf War I. Not doing so only encouraged him and others; it also showed lack of resolve. At the time of GWII, I said that they shouldn’t emphasize this WMD BS, because it was patently BS.

For decades, population growth in Japan has been below replacement. Demographers have long warned that the country’s low birth rate and low immigration are unsustainable. Japan needs to set up a system to seriously pay people to have kids, perhaps a $10,000 tax deduction so a family with 4 kids under 18 would likely pay little or no tax. Give a pension boost at age 65 to woman for live births, say $400 per month for each kid born. Aim for something like 2.5 kids per woman and adjust the tax credits and mother’s pensions accordingly. That or encourage immigration from shithole countries.
Immigration is better than baby welfarism. Babies suck; pay for your own family.
