Time for a War of the Rebellion redeux. For the love of god its time for the south to rise again.
I wonder if the citizens of Austin will have a say in the historical and cultural obliteration of their city or whether it will be done in darkened hallways and behind closed doors by greasy politicians and race hustlers without permission from the governed just like that hate filled gay activist Mayor in Victoria or that front holed lunatic Peeair the Turd. Hey, if Austin wants to get all Marxist/fascist and start annihilating historical context they should hire some Trudopians to show them how its done.

Consider all the replacenment business cards, letterhead, contract name changes on devices, paper, everything. It’s hard to change the name of a well establised city and very expensive.
Also consider, the there were people in this world whose name was Austin but are not considered evil by the foolish and jejune left. Simply rededicate the city to one of those ‘better’ Austin folks and be done with it.
I am really getting sick of the left and their antics. We need to start shooting back or they will win.

Liberals can found their own city call call it SNOWFLAKE CITY with vegan restruants commune with GAIA centers a Peace Park with the chicken footprint peace logo and the high school teams can play games like volleyball and call themselves THE SNOWFLAKES

Good point. Moreover, the support for residential schools was based on the idea that natives should have educational opportunity and be able to develop skills suitable to modern society. The very first residential schools were effective and many of those attending became leaders in their communities. I am not sure what screwed them up — perhaps involvement of the church with its legacy of abuse. The system as it was designed was not intended to be abusive. I think as a country we have lost all perspective on this, but to castigate Macdonald and other aspects of our heritage fits with the current “post-national” agenda. The idea is to undermine pride in Canada and our Anglo heritage.
I look forward to the renaming of my own little town … and its namesake statue torn down. My town was named for a Frenchman who assisted the American Revolution. And hence, facilitated the genocide of native peoples across this entire continent. Yep … it’s only a matter of time until the General’s Statue in our tiny little park is torn down.
