I bought ammunition at a store I won’t name a year and a half ago and no one asked for my FAC and I don’t have one. Just had a box of ammunition with a bunch of other stuff and it got scanned through with no questions asked.

I propose an amendment to the Bill. The media helps by repeating the police mantra that 50% of illegal guns come from thefts from law abiding gun owners. Never mind this stat was based on a very small sample size where the police could trace the gun ownership.

It’ll be interesting to hear what the talking heads say a few years down the line when, with all their precious control “measures” in effect, there’ll still be plenty of handgun crime and gang violence in our cities.

I’d like to add a little addendum to the cars are dangerous file. Suppose we require the same requirements for car owners that we require of gun owners. I’ve had this argument with some friends, that are in favour of gun control. We should demand that when you fill up your car you have to present proof of ownership and insurance papers, oh and maybe as an afterthought we should demand a certificate of compliance to make sure the vehicle has maintenance records, and that the vehicle is locked up every time it is not in use. After all there are multitudinous incidents where a faulty vehicle has caused death and injury. There are more auto thefts everyday than there are gun thefts every year, so lets crack down on a real problem. Everyday I drive I end up at least once at a stop light where the car in front has an outdated insurance sticker, lets make sure that you can’t fill up if the car is not insured. I’m sure that these actions will go down well with the Liberals and Greenies that are demanding more gun control.
My Idaho drivers license is recognized in Canada, and vice versa. Please treat guns like cars.

Progressives are pathologically disposed to controlling ever more aspects of other people’s lives. Gun confiscation is a no brainer and has been on their agenda for decades. Gun owners in Canada have two choices. They can resist and hope that Conservatives can drag out the painful and incremental confiscation over years of effort and useless and mindless regulation and eventually lose their guns anyway or become criminals and hide their guns and if the effort is widespread, the state will have to relent or imprison millions of otherwise non lawbreaking taxpaying citizens mostly on circumstantial evidence.
