  2. I believe the left’s hatred for Trump is much greater than fear. They are evangelical in their belief system and seek to impose it on anyone and everyone. Trump is trumping their beliefs and they can not stand it. Their entire world view is at risk and they MUST overcome the threat. It is existential which also explains their attacking even their own who do not agree with everything they believe to be right and holy. Leftism is a religion clung to by fanatics.

The radical left in the US had victory in their sights with a Hillary win and Trump with the support of the everyday American middle class despicable deplorables thwarted that the final push toward a socialist Clinton oligarchy and that radical left is extremely upset and fighting back like a cornered rat.

  3. I recently turned my neighbor, a decent guy totally taken in by the media’s forceful selling of TDS hysteria, onto Scott Adams blog. I look forward to hearing his feedback because he seemed fascinated by my explanation of what/why TDS is.

    As I have previously stated, we are well past the point where normal political discourse is going to influence these people, so far down the rabbit-hole of propaganda and groupthink they have already traveled. Nope, the only way you can remove brainwashed victims of a cult is to DEPROGRAM them. And that will be virtually impossible with today’s left because they never leave their church and their ‘preachers’ are constantly within earshot to demand they keep up the faith.

    1. It is possible that the tweets that are issued in the name of Trump are designed to disturb the tranquillity of the ignorant?
      There is a lot of media mayhem going on.
      The thing is that severely normal Americans probably are fully in control of their faculties and much enjoy their days.
      it will be interesting to see what the midterm elections will bring.
      If they prove the media cartel willfully wrong predicting Democrats sweep, that will be something to see, not unlike the presidential election of 2016.

I think Trump’s tweets fall under the category of “no such thing as bad news.” He won the election with 95% negative stories from the mainstream media but the airwaves were pretty much exclusively Trump. The constant Trump tweets enrage the left. An enraged left motivates the right. What will get rid of Trump is 8 years in office.

  4. Scott Adams has shared his very insightful, ACCURATE commentary and forecasts on U.S. politics since 2015. He consistently brings a wise, original point of view and has often been prescient.

    My only issue is that he stopped WRITING them on his blog and started doing his commentary only as spoken podcasts. Now, because of his very slooooooow, spoken delivery it takes 2 or 3 times longer to enjoy his commentary. Back when this would have been a written blog post by Adams I could have read it in about 2 ~ 3 minutes without his words bothering the person sitting next to me (my ears can’t take earbuds and I refuse carry bulky ‘over the ear’ earphones around with me).

    Other than that personal preference for the written over the verrrrrrry slooooooooowly spoken, Scott Adams is a ‘must-do’ commentator on American politics.

  7. This is a great thread. Sharyl Attkisson in her book “Smear” talks about this very topic of brainwashing and propaganda and how it has affected American politics. This stuff is nothing new, as Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton threw around accusations of sexual improprieties at each other. WW II saw an escalation in the use of brainwashing and propaganda. The efforts to destroy Robert Bork and Clarence Thomas were perfect examples of this weapon being used successfully. The Clinton machine perfected the use of this weapon. To be really successful this weapon needs the active participation of the media allies and the left has accomplished this fusion of media and politics.

    The mass brainwashing by the progressive/media cabal has been highly successful in Canada.

    1. For another example, check out CBC’s latest the world is AT RISK (remember the fear must always be in the future) OF HEADING TOWARDS irreversible ‘hothouse’ conditions, as we APPROACH A TIPPING POINT of credibility, oh sorry, TERRIBLE, NO GOOD, VERY BAD human induced climate change.

      There’s certainty for you; at about one-third I understand, but with 99.3% consensus, and about a $trillion.

      On Facebook, a poster points out climate has been changing for billions of years, he has personally experienced climate change, and that it’s been measured for 200 years. The comments illustrate a brainwashed conglomerate of inaccurate talking points, mixed perfectly with arrogance and ignorance to show just how far our brainwashed lemmings have strayed from common sense.

      Brainwashed, plus put through the wringer, bleached, starched, hung out to dry, and ironed flat – is more like it.

      Not a single rebuttal; just fallacies like appeal to authority, ad hominem and their favourite, the total irrelevancy, therefore immune to argument, non sequitur. Common sense is a superpower appropriated from the stupid, so can’t be used.

      1. And Global, not to be outdone, came through with an equally apocalyptic scenario of everybody and everything burning up. Lots of photos and videos accompanied the screed. Odd, isn’t it, that when we get a hot spell, it’s “Global Warming” oops! make that “Climate Change”. However, when we’re freezing our asses off in a 40 – below winter, it’s “Weather”. The hypocrisy is stunning.

  8. Sitting through that was painful as all I could think of was Captain Obvious in slow motion and I was waiting for something more that never came. Hysteria sells and politicians pimp hysteria and it works, particularly well for the looters and thugs of the left and their supporting institutions. Now that was simple.

  10. “What will get rid of Trump is 8 years in office.” The Failure to pass an immigration bill by the dysfunctional Republicans in the House, If the Republican Freedom caucus don’t smarten up they will go into the dustpan of History….the Establishment Republicans want their party back & if Trump allows the House to go into the Mid-Terms naked.. the Dems backed by Republican Money will win big time…..It is Trump on trial and it is the Republicans that will blame & impeach him……One major party will not exist in 2020 …
