Benter’s mentor ultimately fled Hong Kong after being framed on tax evasion charges. Benter himself fled Hong Kong, and left his last jackpot unclaimed, because it was not worth being murdered by hitmen in league with the Chinese Communist Party or dying in a Chinese prison.

Benter was in it for the personal challenge and the thrill of the win and, unlike Woods and many others, he didn’t let his mind and purpose be corrupted by the money and power.
Somewhat like Trump and HRC. Both are very successful and wealthy, but one is definitely much more venal and corrupt than the other (Strad still hasn’t figured this out). In the long term the Woods and Clintons self destruct.

I disagree with you. It would be a boring movie because while this written account of their gambling lives is interesting, they did nothing illegal and weren’t prosecuted for anything. Any movie based on this would have to be stretched with fantasy.

Besides all the movies like ‘Ocean 11, 12 & 13’ have been made already. Watch them. I don’t know about ‘Ocean 8’ but ‘The Pink Panther’ was a classic. I’m sure there are many more though.

I might add the episode with Mark-Lynn Baker as the autistic accountant led me to realize I too have aspergers.
only cop show I watch now is Blue Bloods. I like it when a gangbanger stops a bullet.
