Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

“Less than a third of German military assets are operational”
What proportion of Russian military assets are operational?
The bad news is Canadian weapons don’t work since they have Chinese parts in them. The good news is Chinese weapons don’t work either since they have lots of Chinese parts in them.
No kaboom in the video…….only black screen for me.
Same here. And I like kabooms coming from the IDF.

Column One: A glimpse of Europe’s true face – Caroline Glick
Mogherini has been publicly attacking the US for walking away from the nuclear deal and declaring her allegiance to the pact three times a day, every day since May 8 when Trump announced he was pulling the US out of it and reimposing sanctions on Iran.
…What we didn’t know until recently is why Mogherini and her colleagues have chosen to stand with Iran against America.
We got the answer on June 30.
Six days before the Vienna summit, Belgian security forces arrested members of an Iranian terror cell as they made their way to Paris to blow up a rally held that day by the Iranian opposition movement Mujahedin e-Khalq. The cell was led by Asduallah Asadi, the head of Iran’s intelligence network in Europe. Asadi is registered as the Iranian intelligence attaché at the Iranian embassy in Vienna. He is an officer of the Revolutionary Guards’ al-Quds Brigade, which is responsible for Iran’s foreign terror operations.
Thousands attended the rally in Paris. Among the many VIPS present were former prime minister Ehud Barak, former Canadian prime minister Stephen Harper and former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani.
The arrests in Belgium drove home the fact that Iran has developed a massive terror infrastructure in Europe. The terror operatives who were arrested lived and operated in at least four countries: Germany, Austria, Belgium and France.
On the face of it, it is amazing than right after terrorists under the direct command of the Iranian regime were caught en route to carrying out an attack in Paris, Europe’s top diplomats sat down with the leaders of the regime and brainstormed how to shower them with cash in open defiance of the United States….
https://www.jpost.com/Opinion/A-glimpse-of-Europes-true-face-562370
“The time has come for Israel to finally stop taking European rhetoric seriously. The time has come for Israel to begin exacting a painful price from Europe for its hostile and damaging policies towards us.”
It would be nice to know what Glick has in mind. Nothing should be off the table in my opinion. High time well-heeled globalists and anti-semites were given cause to be at least as afraid of Mossad as they are of Iranian intelligence—and that, clearly, is plenty.
Awesome READ…Larry.!@
Thanx for posting that..
Trump finally exposing the bare truth.
Wonder when he will get to the UN…?
‘Cause that’s a rekoning a coming for sure…
As it happens, my wife and I are Ontario Tories (this may come as a complete shock to you), but the facts remain:
— We were married, a little over 10 years ago, at Turkey Point ON (St. Andrew’s-by-the-Lake Anglican Church);
— The most moving wedding gift, bar none, that we received was from a dear friend of ours (who’s also now an Ontario Tory) and his dear wife, who, sadly, succumbed to cancer a few years ago: they purchased two trees to be planted, in our names, in Israel:
https://www.holylandtree.com
Just sayin’
Yes, the “Cedars of Lebanon” were biblically famous; now just-about the only trees in the whole region are the ones planted by the Israelis. It’s a haunting country to visit.
I have been watching BNN-Bloomberg News early this moringa (the only all-news channel I can watch, since the CBC and CTV News channels these days are utterly unwatchable). The early morning show is beamed from London, and the reporters there are wildly angry with Trump’s truth bombs to the British. The reporting on the anti-Trump demos are hilarious. The main demo in London has 200 demonstrators, replete with an anti-Trump balloon — and the Bloomberg reporting remains fixated on the baloon as Meaning Something.
Don’t forget, BNN is a CTV property, and broadcasts the snippets too. And if one watches any amount of BNN, it is a relatively useless excuse for “business”.
I agree. When a CTV reporter is broadcast on BNN (e.g. the awful Joy Malbon), I either mute the sound or channel surf somewhere else. But the Canadian content portion off BNN is not that bad, similar to the “business” and “investment” sections of the Globe and Mail. I have to watch some news on TV, and BNN is it.
Btw, a month or so ago BNN merged with Bloomberg Canada, and cut way back on its Canadian content. I think all of this has to do with the possibility that BNN was losing money, much like Bloomberg Canada was losing money. The CTV News network has been losing money, and has laid off staff. I wonder why CTV News is so obsessed with promoting left-wing political correctness, when they are losing viewers?
The Israelis project an air of invincibility via extreme military competence, which is mostly true. However, sometimes they tell little white lies to protect that aura of invincibility, or to magnify the narrative of Israel, a nation under attack. An example of the former is the “bird strike” taking an F-35 out of service story a few months back. Highly coincidental timing on that story. An example of the latter is the Iranian drone which they claimed they shot down over Israel, but based on the video evidence used to prove the event, was more likely tracked and shot down over Jordan.
I’m a supporter of Israel, most of the time, but their policy of abetting genocidal jihadists on the basis the enemy of my enemy is my friend is an example of really badly thought out covert action.
Just another slide-by anti-zionism deprecation. “Mustn’t let Them become Too Uppity” comes to mind.
Please remember Israel is now the Eighth Most Powerful Nation in the World. Funny how the commenter brought forward a comment on Israel having F-35’s. This is addition to the single engine F-22’s.
Canada dropped their access to the F-35’s when the Prime Example Justin restarted the diminishment of Canada’s Military. I believe there are still F-18’s in the Royal Canadian Air Force and some talk about purchasing used F-18’s from Down-Under. Not sure which lot will be cannibalized to keep the other lot of F-18’s in the Air? —When the F-18’s start to fall out of the Sky as did the 50 year old Helicopters will the CBC and their clones captured by the Liberal Subsidies and access to Tax-payer funding for the superfluous Advertising gigs the Liberals Use.
Speaking of used equipment; are there any parts on the Used Submarines The Liberal Party Government of Canada Supply & Services were scorched by the British Bureaucrat used Sub Sale? This disasterous equipment purchase did not even reach Canada’s Shore before killing One of Canada’s Military Officer placed in Harm’s Way in His successful effort to save other Seamen.
As we go down the list before another miscreant Paid Liberal Troll Or possibly just a “Wanna-be Paid” dumps on the Israeli Military.____ Israel Military might has ready for action 1200 state-of-the Art Tanks which were Designed — Engineered — Built — in Israel. —– My understanding this is at least 1,000 more than Canada’s number of tanks; including the ones which have been stripped for spare parts to keep some of them in operation. —- Anyone able to provide better information on Canada’s Airforce and Tank Force. —- I believe the Canadian Navy still lists some of the St.Laurant Class of Frigates as being active Equipment. — I can remember when these Original “Cadillacs” began to arrive in Halifax Harbour. —- All the other Seamen standing on their World War Two Ships watching the Miraculous Appearance of New Ships. ___ I finished my Five Year Term of voluntary service in December 1962.

“Just another slide-by anti-zionism deprecation.”
If you’ve got an on topic factual comment on my factual comments let’s hear it. The F-35 is a disaster, so far, so save your F-35 flag waving for someone ill informed enough to believe it.
Interesting take on Donald Trumps’ “suggestion” that countries increase their military spending to 4%. It looks as though Trump has accomplished his goal of getting countries to reach the 2% mark – which he “demanded” they do during his recent NATO trip.
The CBC headline screams “U.S. President Donald Trump is demanding Canada and other NATO allies boost their military spending to four per cent of their gross domestic product.”
Justin Trudeau says “”To reverse the decline in spending and increase our spending towards two per cent. That’s exactly what we are doing,”
The MSM claims Trump was wrong when he said “They agreed to pay more, and they agreed to pay it more quickly,”
One media outlet claimed Macron directly contradicted Trump but when they played a recording of his actual comments (with translation) he never disputed Trump but only claimed that countries like France had previously agreed to the 2% spending level so this wasn’t anything new.
The link below is a worthwhile read if you like seeing how journalists can fool themselves so easily to make a point. Try switching the concept of 4% military spending with the Liberal’s deficit spending – an article that will never be written by the CBC.
http://www.cbc.ca/news/business/armstrong-military-spending-trump-1.4743967
‘He says Canada should simply conscript everyone over 65, claim all those elderly benefits as military spending and call it a day.’
People (economist Mike Moffatt of the Ivey Business School at Western University) who make remarks like this should lose all rights, privileges, and freedoms for a month while they are force-fed a diet of phucking history. What an embarrassing tool of the neo-Marxist.
It is a sign of how seriously Canadian elites take our military (and our sovereignty).
There is a strategy developing here that will give conservatives an electoral advantage.
Everytime the liberal leader concedes some ground to Trump it disappoints his base who are adamantly anti-Trump.
Any perception of cooperation with the Trump administration will be viewed as an abandonment of the party faithful, and if the NDP are sharp enough to pick up on can capitalize everytime juthtin does anything that appears to agree with Trump.
The clever part is that there is an ingrained culture at the CBC and media in general that is instinctively anti-Trump that will without thought join the chorus of critics.
The best thing Trudeau could do is open his arms to Trump in order to fix NAFTA or draw up a new agreement on US-CAN trade. With such a deal Trudeau could both play to his base “I had to put Canada first” and impress Conservatives “I can deal with Trump”.
But he (and his party) are so stupid they will play the anti-Trump Canadian sentiment all the way to the next election. I think by then Canadians will be more tired of Trudeau and his “all style and no substance” form of leadership, more so than Trump and his MAGA style. And yes, the CBC will be right there by Justin’s side, making voters even more frustrated. All the Conservative need now is a real leader.
These protestors are in the same mind set as the Ban the Bomb groups, totally financed by the USSR in the 70’s and 80’s. They support our enemies though none of them would want to live in Russia and enjoy all the freedoms our fathers fought for. I have several friends like that and just amazed at their stupidity. They of course attack Trump but never want to talk about it just to shut you down.

Gasoline prices and why they are – on average across the country – up 30 cents a litre from last year. Mostly because of our low dollar compared to USD and because we can’t get our oil to market … which further devalues our dollar.
Rod Rosenstein Holds Press Conference For Law Enforcement Announcement | LIVE | TIME

no idea what it is, but there was talk of indictments. Live Chat is enabled on the stream.
Apparently it is a dozen Russian military people indicted for hacking.
Are they still in Russia? Like the indicted Russian companies? When one showed up to fight the charges, suddenly the prosecution needed more time? Another one of these, got to be seen to be doing something so we’ll charge people knowing we never have to make a case in a court of law. Smells like it to me.
Not to mention it means they can’t talk about the case with congress because it is an active case.
Ever hear of the Clinton Foundation? Uranium One, maybe?

Trump is really drawing them out. He has now offended the Mayor of London UK and given him the opportunity to come with his spiel about immigration and diversity.
Trump will now meet our Queen, no politics there for the scribes to fill their columns with.
The Mayor of London UK seems quite useless. I can see it being offensive to point this out publicly.
Rex on the trudeau liberals obsession
https://nationalpost.com/opinion/rex-murphy-blindsided-by-the-never-ending-fixation-with-stephen-harper
Good one by Rex. I loved the comment that Harper is the ultimate “not-Trump” politician . . .quiet, unassuming etc. This is effectively true, so why was he so despised by the left? I think much of it was precipitated by the media pile-on which was instigated by their pals the Liberals who we so angry to be out of power. Now I personally don’t mind Trump. I especially appreciate his authenticity when he speaks. But Rex is right, Harper was not at all like him and yet Canadians chose to vilify Harper. I think at some point, Canadians will realize and regret their mistake in dumping Harper for the Liberal poseur.
