    1. I just stripped the asphault shingles off my roof. Off they go, and fall onto the plastic tarp on the ground. I then pick them up in a barrel and walk it into the dumpster. 4,000 pounds. Roughly 60 lbs per barrel. About 70 barrels.
Next is to bring the synthetic roof paper up and roll it out and tab it down. After I then carry the asphault shingles up the 20′ ladder. 70lbs each. 60 of those. And of course staging planks, and nail it off.
Im a year younger than Juncker. But then I don’t drink, jet, and stuff my face from the labors of others. Corrupt mind, corrupt body.

      1. well that tops me.
I bought my place 15 yrs ago and the shingles still dont match, but, BUT I finally have a plan and the personnel lined up to do so by early autumn.
guess who is going to do the heavy lifting aka prep work which has started. Im 67 and am NOT and never have been an ‘armchair athlete’.

so regarding the euro dude, is it a case of parkinsons or just a weeeee bit too much of the bordeaux?
brings to mind the ‘quick thinking’ of former president carter grabbing brezhnev’s arm, about to topple over.
why are dottering octogenarians allowed to hold positions of power and influence when they could check out at ANY time, thus leaving a hole in the process, having to ‘start over’ bla bla bla??
A: its the jaun antonio samaranch model !!!

      2. Impressive Paul. And my 62.5yo body is up to my eyeballs in a bath remodel. But the most vigorous activity has been contorting myself under the crawlspace to remodel the plumbing lines (thank you, Advil!) … and carrying boxes of 24” sq. travertine tile (easily 100#/box).

And what is really shocking to me … is seeing photos of similar-aged or younger men who all look 15 years older than me … not to brag. Nevermind, yes to brag. Very very occasional drinking in moderation, never a smoker, only whole fresh foods. Lots of juicy tasty red meat!

        1. Age 63, 150 lbs, 410 deadlift, 315, squat, 210 bench. Just need a few pounds more to break a thousand, maybe before I get old like you guys.

          1. Sheesh … the last time I benched 210, I was in high school. And the last time I weighed 150 … I was in Junior high school. You put me to shame.

      3. Paul, I envy you. I worked my way through high school and undergrad university doing mostly roofing work, and I remember the 70-lb bundles of shingles on my right shoulder, up rickety ladders, invariably in cold rain. But now that I am 69-years old (a retired professor with cancer in remission), I do not think I could do much on a roof!

      4. He could suffer from some form of Parkinson’s. My mother had it and froze at stairs. She had no idea why, but legs just stopped working around stairs. She said it was the strangest thing.

      5. Hey Paul,
Get help with the installation of your roof shingles ! A 2 day job max.
        What if it rains?
        What if you fall?
        What if you are kidding?
        Hope so.

        1. Some notes. Its sick, but I actually like roofing.
I’m real anal on placement ladder and staging especially at the eaves. Totally take that off the board.
It’s five small roofs so a roof a day is very civil. I have some sheathing repair which kinda ruins the rhythm. I save old crushed, worn out, soft hiking boots, so this will be their last hurrah.
I think if the bundles as light weight reps. 70lbs( some 40 year warenteed go to 110 ) The thing is you get a full range, twist, step, balance of lots of tendons, sub muscles, for hours. My hands are embarrassing, ugly, animalistic things.
At the end of the day, beer is awesome, fantastic. Sleep like the dead, dreamless.
Exercise, or hardish work, quiet(s) the mind of petty things, and induces endorphins. Nature rewards us to work, or God, like the old Puritans said.

      6. 70 .. still working 3 days a week.. humping pipe/plumbing supplies/ mixed cartage.. We are a tough old bunch.. Socks are normal.. still like the ladies.. Just one night stands tho..lol

  1. The head of the EU is a rickety, 63 year old Marxist who can barely walk.

The head of the US is a youthful, 72 year old capitalist with almost unlimited energy.

I will go with the latter every time.

Juncker perfectly symbolizes dying Europe, overrun by immigrants and burdened by socialist policies.

So yes, no wonder a bunch of Brtis want out.

  2. I don’t really like taking shots at physical disabilities. There are plenty of other reasons to despise Euro-Marxists.
That being said, if he’s really sick, he should step aside. To not do so is arrogance. Sort of like Hilliary.

    1. Would alcoholism be recognized as physical disability, could drunk drivers park in handicap spots ?

    2. That definitely looks like drunk to me. If it is a disability or balance issue, you would expect him to be using a cane or something. Also, I think he looks older than 63. Correct, if he is truly not well, time to step aside.

    1. Trudeau once again proves he is a real creep. I believe the Belgium PM and his wife were both taken aback by Trudeau’s clumsiness. Honestly I seldom even see a picture of Trudeau without wanting to cringe.

  3. Notice how in the group shots, Trudeau is positioned on the far left (our left) of the crowd of leaders. If he was any further on the edge he would fall off the stand. When Harper was leading Canada, he was always in the center of the shot with other notable world leaders. Looks like the rest of the world is on to Trudeau and wants nothing to do with him.

  4. Was that Sophie, trudeaus wife floating around during the line up part of the photo op????? Steve O

  5. Well, at least they didn’t have to chuck him in the back of a van, and later trot out his stunt double.

  6. Juncker wouldn’t be the first politician leading a united Europe to spend most of his tenure intoxicated, leading him to catastrophic blunders.

Hitler spent most of the war under the influence of methamphetamine, administered to him by his quack doctor. The meth led him to believe his own propaganda about his invincibility, inducing him to invade Russia and to refuse to surrender no matter how obvious it became that the Russian conquest of Germany was inevitable.

When the Russian invasion cut off the supply of the meth to which the Führer was by then an incurable addict, the resulting depression was what drove him to suicide.

  7. Drunk. But it will be Trump’s “bad” behavior that we hear about in the US press.

  8. What a lot of useless, well paid scumbags.
The unfortunate thing is that Trump can’t fire the suckers.

  9. Parkinson’s
Not a nice way to go for sure
Llikely addled by the medications, and his judgement impaired even further off course than his already marxist claptrap rotted brain had him.

  10. If it was due to a known medical issue then why would his handlers let him go out there to appear drunk and disoriented? Wouldn’t they realize that this would result in everybody assuming that he was drunk?? What’s the shame in having him use a cane or walker (or have an aid walk with him) if he had a known medical issue??

    That dude was ‘faced.
