The Obstructing-Traffic-And-Frustrating-Random-People-While-Feeling-Immensely-Self-Satisfied Thing™ first came to my attention during the Occupy fad-cum-gap-year, and it rapidly degenerated into opportunist thuggery and self-indulgent farce. A high point being when a Mao-ling mother placed her four-year-old daughter on active train tracks.
Since then, in the name of “teaching others to care,” we’ve seen self-righteous mobs deliberately blocking the paths of ambulances and giving paramedics the finger, while exulting in their power to alarm, frustrate and coerce. And to endanger lives with collective impunity. And we’ve seen fearless, selfless anti-Trump protestors surrounding and terrorising a lone female driver by trying to smash her car’s windscreen into her face, and videoing her distress for their own amusement and peer-group cred. All done in the name of forcing others to be compassionate.
And at which point, what you’re seeing isn’t politics or protest. It’s sociopathy.

This was always about sociopathy—of these troublemakers and the rich sociopaths who bankroll their antics. They only care about one thing—taking things away from decent people who earned them and making the lives of decent people a living hell, if decent people are allowed to live at all.
It’s obvious we’re talking about people who hate the “bourgeoisie” (defined as anybody with an honest job and lacking a criminal record or a street drug habit) more than they love their own children—the ones they didn’t abort anyway.

And the same police who are so diligent to ticket you for any minor offense will stand by and watch these thugs destroy anything they wish, simply because the thugs “feel” their cause is just.

It is simply unacceptable how police forces and justice systems across the western world seem to be blatantly selective in enforcing laws. Just look at the current FBI as the primo example, to my mind they now seem irreversibly corrupted and politicized. Even in my fair city, the local RCMP’s handling of still-illegal pot stores does not at all reflect the enforcement of existing statutes, more that they are using the power of their guns and badges to do the bidding of our stupid, wishy-washy city council. We are inundated with examples of selective enforcement of the law virtually everywhere, everyday.
Pretty much every Canadian city’s downtown is now a virtual cesspool of addicts and ne’er-do-wells. This is 100% because the police are simply not enforcing existing laws, as they have sworn to do. And when any politician directs any law enforcement official to do something like ‘let those people keep illegally camping in that city park’, that politician should be charged and jailed for obstruction of justice.
I have long stressed that Political Correctness was being used as some bizarre form of moral code by the partisan left. Now, they seem to have surpassed even that milestone by using it as a legal code that outweigh’s established laws in the books.
Of course, the other truly disturbing factor here is that many American law officers seem to be OK with providing protection and giving free passes to break laws and terrorize citizens to the very same people who have sworn to do them harm. So bizarre to witness.

Precisely. Our town now has a blighted ghetto on prime, taxpayer purchased waterfront land that they amusingly call “Discontent City”. There have been several injunctions issued, but city councillors and the RCMP are simply too petrified of enforcing the law.
They legitimize the scum’s (I’d say the majority are more SJW’s than ‘homeless’) demand for social housing (read: taxpayer provided with no responsibility to remain clean or to maintain their free accommodation).
They’ve strategically planted themselves right where cruise ship passengers disembark so that it’s the first impression visitors have of our city. The better to apply SJW pressure, of course.
City council is now kicking it up to the Supreme Court of B.C. because apparently, an injunction from a local magistrate isn’t enough to act upon. Oh, BTW there is a local law firm working on behalf of the homeless ‘pro bono’ of course, because shooting drugs, defecating in public areas, dropping used needles, shoplifting the local merchants and generally being a disgusting eyesore are all ‘human rights’ that trump any rights of those who go to work, pay the bills and raise their families.
What sickens me most? The faux self-righteousness of these social dregs.
