This plague is NOT caused by climate change (PERIOD.) There is no “necessarily” about it. This disease of coffee has been spreading since at least 1870 ……from Africa to Asia to South America, to Central America. That spread has NOTHING to do with climate change. (Probably due to stupid plant breeders trying to increase yield or quality….. many examples of this.

The last two days, with my wife and a girl friend at the cottage, I’ve been watching a lot of TV. A new commercial hitting the cable channels is from something called the “Ted Rogers Foundation Scholarship Fund”. It follows the usual cliche of quick promos from a heterogeneous number of students, who give quick quotes about how wonderful the scholarship fund is. We all know this ad cliche by now: all the people shown are from a variety of ethnic groups and genders, except that there are no white males included. But what makes this commercial so irritating is that one fellow (woman?) who leads off the ad, and who finishes te ad, is a tranny, all made up with a deep husky voice. So the big Rogers corporation is pushing transgenderism.

The last two days, with my wife and a girl friend at the cottage, I’ve been watching a lot of TV. A new commercial hitting the cable channels is from something called the “Ted Rogers Foundation Scholarship Fund”. It follows the usual cliche of quick promos from a heterogeneous number of students, who give quick quotes about how wonderful the scholarship fund is. We all know this ad cliche by now: all the people shown are from a variety of ethnic groups and genders, except that there are no white males included. But what makes this commercial so irritating is that one fellow (woman?) who leads off the ad, and who finishes te ad, is a tranny, all made up with a deep husky voice. So the big Rogers corporation is pushing transgenderism.

My wife and a girl friend from church are at our riverfront cottage, and I am here dogsitting our Labrador, wth not much to do after church.
