  1. The American peoples instincts were 100% correct … that America was in desperate NEED of a non-politician POTUS. MY President is showing that America has been SOLD OUT by every UniParty POTUS since Ronald Reagan. Think of it … America’s BEST Presidents … Western civilizations BEST HOPE … were both “outsiders” … both “Actors”. Ironically, the REAL actors have been all the Democrap and GOPe politicians who droaned-on with long speeches about nothing … or worse.

    MY President LOVES America … quite unlike the last First Family who didn’t discover their pride in America until they made it to the White House. MY President is a WORKER … a DOer … the exact OPPOSITE of a “Community Organizer” (read: professional racist).

    BEST (most awkward) President EVER! And I will happily trade every cringeworthy speech, and tweet … for his pro-American, Pro-middle class policy!

Granted you’re an American and an American taxpayer who is entitled to an opinion, but as a close neighbour I disagree with your remarks about Trump being sometimes most awkward and cringeworthy. From our point of view he is honest. He gets the job done. Y’all fought the Revolutionary War so as not to have a necessarily ‘polite’ leader but one who is over the age of 35 and is a genuine American-born person of sane mind.

      Send him up to Canada when his 8 years are up. We will need someone to help us get out from the shackles of the Federal Liberals.

      ( One of the best moments in history was to see Bill Clinton’s face at one of the debates when he spotted all his ‘ex’ girlfriends who were there too. Now THAT was most “awkward and cringeworthy” for HIM, Mr Clinton, the RAPIST)

      1. Mea culpa on each of your points. Personally, I don’t cringe all that much about Trump … and I love his tweets … a lot. What I really cringed about was Obama prattling on for 10 minutes, answering one simple scripted question … with no “action” words … just … feelings … about things. What an utter loser.

        Yes, Clinton’s facial reaction was priceless when the Trump campaign invited his ‘sexual conquests’ to the debates. Clinton was … angry … seething anger at seeing these women. I thought … what an odd facial response ?! His expression should have been shame and embarrassment.

          I do so hope that President Trump wins a second term. The American economy is going full blast on all cylinders. It is believable if you know Trump. I’ve never enjoyed an American Presidential Campaign as much as Trump’s. Saw and recorded every debate and hung on to every word during the election night results. I channel surfed and laughed my head off at the left-leaning Press. When Trump won, it truly was a night to remember. He seemingly is on auto-pilot now. He is well liked by the people, who now have a greater disposable income. It goes to show how wrong the Democrats were to go so far left, too far left, thanks to Pelosi. Trump must have been amazed how Hillary ignored Bill’s advice about the economy. The election was Trump’s for the taking after that.

          We Canadians have big bad issues here, now. Our issues are ‘cringeworthy’ and we are in dire need of an election. For the most part, we Conservatives live in despair. This Federal Government has gone mad. I fear the worst is yet to come in the coming recession. Canadians are freaking has- beens and most are unaware of it. Very sad.

          P.S…. See how wide and round Bill’s eyes got, with that sideward look at the ex-girlfriends, at that debate? I’m shocked the Press even filmed it and released it. Must have been Fox News that did that. Betcha they tried to give someone heck like a Matt Lauer type of dressing down. It was too precious to not air. This is one reason American politics are worthwhile! (in Canada we get a ☆ “quantum computing” Mr Dress-Up who thinks budgets are self balancing)

    2. America isn’t the only country with a desperate need for an outsider, Canada and the EU are in just as bad shape as America was politically.

      Who was the philosopher that stated democracy would only last until the political class learned they had complete control of the treasury?

  4. Oh he is—and not just for ideological reasons.

    The main non-political goal of the mainstream media is to convince gullible people to fritter away their money on things they don’t need, most of them badly made in China.

    The ad campaign selling Hillary Clinton like soap flakes cost a billion US dollars—money her financial backers might as well have set on fire in Times Square for all the return they got on their investment.

    The main lesson to be drawn by the business world is that people are no longer as easily fooled (at least in the West), and a radical rethink of their public-relations campaigns are in order.

    (Assuming, of course, that they won’t content themselves with selling things people need at reasonable prices, proudly made at home, and allowing word of mouth to do the advertising for them.)

I apologize if I seem to continually bring this up, but we are losing our democracy and freedom just like the Greeks lost theirs 25 centuries ago by giving license to every call for some sort of liberty. In Canada, for one example, we are fragmenting into hundreds of little ‘nations’ that have veto power over every public or private infrastructure initiative, so nothing happens. Even the repairing of existing infrastructure meets opposition.

    Trump in his own way is trying to arrest this degradation and collapse of a society.

    But we do have dozens of genders, and growth of mental disorders.

    1. Andrew Coyne advocates “waiting”. At first I thought this was a good tactic for Canada. There is great pressure in the U.S. to get a deal done and waiting surely plays to this pressure. But upon reflection, it seems to me that is a bad tactic. Donald Trump is not known for bluffing or backing down (although he just did for the sake of the chilin’). The stakes are high for both countries (the border crossing between Michigan and Ontario is the busiest land crossing in the U.S. …… mainly automobile related trade). I’d hate to see things get worse. And more to the point, I think there is a way for both countries to claim a “win”. Time is rapidly running out as the tariffs are scheduled to go into effect on July 1.

      Mexican elections are also July 1. It will be an interesting month.
