This Is Not Your Grandma’s Humane Society

Australia:

Authorities made the decision to abandon all eight races at Kilmore after officials inspecting the turf found two 40 centimetre steel star pickets inserted into the track.

The metal posts were discovered two metres off the running rail near the 400-metre mark.

Because they love animals.

  1. I made a conscious decision years ago that, every time one of those PETA jerks did some new vile thing to convince us that animals are people, I’d bump up my meat intake for the week.

Going to find some veal now . . .

  2. Like spiking trees to kill lumberjacks from saw recoil. Every single terrorist eco-ghoul should be imprisoned for LIFE for such heinous acts.

    1. No, all you have to do is airlift them into central BC with matches, a knife, an axe, a tent and a compass, and wish them good luck while they grope their way back to civilization. If they make it back, they won’t re-offend because the reality of nature in all its glory will be indelibly printed on their psyche. If they don’t make it back, well, that is justice.

      1. Why be that generous? In Robert Heinlein’s novel Starship Troopers, Mobile Infantry recruits have to learn to live off the land and use available resources for everything, including clothing. They’re simply dropped off in the middle of the bush and are left to fend for themselves. Not everybody made it back.

      2. Doug, I would give themselves nowhere near as much.

Took bush survival…all we got was a good knife, clothes on our backs, 1/2 a parachute, maybe 20m of nylon parachute cord, a compass, 1 box matches and 3-4 days MRE….for 3 weeks on our own…Hinton, Ab, bk in the summer 67

Those that do this garbage are nothing less than criminally insane and if caught, locked up as such.

        1. Come on Steak, you did the wimp course. I did it in Feb 67 and it was two weeks not three. It hit -50F one night if I remember correctly.

    2. The darling of the anti-pipeline/anti-oil movement, Tzeporah Berman, got her start more than 20 years ago by doing things like spiking trees.

I long suspected that she had a screw loose.
