  1. Inslee knows no shame in his hypocrisy. While bag-licking Boeing, a more carbon dependent and emission producing leviathan than most nation states, he lines up with his left coast clones to virtue signal their contempt for Alberta’s Oil sands. His State has been receiving oil tankers from Alaska for the last 40 years but he is now concerned that loaded tankers of Canadian crude will pass through some of the same waters. Horgan wants him to bail out the BC coast if Alberta retaliates and cuts them off of Alberta oil in refined products. Horgan and the Climate Imam are despicable maggots, smug in their crusade to kill economic growth based on righteous zeal to decarbonize everyone else but themselves. The economic contribution of the Trans Mountain expansion to the Alberta and Canadian economy exceeds that of the entire BC commercial fishery, aquaculture Industry (double that of the commercial fisheries), province wide sport fishery and a fair chunk of BC’s forest industry combined.

“Disgraced Media Already Hit with Massive Layoffs in 2018”
“By the time President Trump’s presidency is over, one of the biggest pieces of fake news we will look back on is when we were told by the media that Trump was good for the media business. According to what is happening in a place called the real world, the truth is that business for the media is horrible.
We will start with the Denver Post, which announced Thursday that, between April 9 and July 1, 30 jobs will be cut from its newsroom. That is a massive 30 percent cut of its current staff of 100 journalists.
Just 10 years ago according to the far-left Washington Post, the Denver Post employed 600 journalists. That is close to a 90 percent reduction in only a decade.
Just a few hours later we learned that another wave of surprise layoffs hit the Chicago Tribune.”
“the San Jose Mercury News was hit”.
“the East Bay Times wiped out a quarter of its editorial staff”.
“the far-left CNN is not only collapsing in the ratings but dealing with some massive layoffs of its own.” [more]

  3. Considering that Linda McQuaig wrote it, I’m not surprised.
I thought that her book Shooting the Hippo was a decent book but her credibility with me vanished when she was an NDP candidate during the last federal election, particularly her stand on the oil sands (“Leave it in the ground.”).

  4. As a social conservative, I would like to let everyone know that yes, I will cut off my own nose to spite my face. I am going to vote for Ryan Meili next election. IF I was in Ontario, I would vote for Wynne.
It is time to demonstrate that it is not safe to denigrate me for my beliefs. It is not safe for any political entity to refuse to support what I want in any way.
I will be enjoying the decline IMMENSELY. I am tired of being the but of every political joke, from every political party, in every region of the country. Welcome to the suicide pact. Infanticide is untouchable; welcome to Prime Minister Trudeau, FOREVER.

“Roma Downey fuel poverty scheme paused
An anti fuel poverty scheme funded by Hollywood actress Roma Downey has been put on hold because of concerns over false claims.
The Warm Hearth, Warm Heart fund was set up to help cover the costs of fuel for people in Londonderry.
It was administered by Fr Paddy O’Kane, a long-time friend of the Derry-born actress.
Fr O’Kane said the scheme had been paused because “a small minority” of claimants were not genuine.”

  7. That’s one way of getting rid of that evil toxic masculinity, isn’t it?
Before the I, Napoleon nonsense became seemingly commonplace, kids like him would have been doped up with tranquilizers. Earlier than that, he would have been hauled off to a child psychologist.
The mother is something else, isn’t she?

  8. Once again I will mention That I feel a certain loyalty to SDA, but if you aren’t on Twitter you are missing lots of ‘news’
David Akin fessed up that he hasn’t read anything written Dr. Jordan Peterson, nor has he seen any of his videos…blames it on his ‘Ottawa bubble’.(His tweets)
Kathleen Wynne told young people at Humber college to vote or ‘old white people’ will determine the outcome. (Brian Lilley tweets)

“Chinese Reporter Goes Missing After Viral Eyeroll Embarrasses Emperor Xi”
“Despite a frenzied over-reaction that practically nuked Liang Xiangyi off the Internet, the tyrants of Beijing cannot quite make the exasperated reporter in the blue dress disappear.”
“Liang is the reporter who very visibly displayed her impatience with a toadying question from another journalist at a press conference on Tuesday. The other woman, Zhang Huijun, asked a “question” that was really just an obsequious recital of China’s recent achievements and ended by asking a government bureaucrat how the government of President Xi Jinping planned to be even more awesome in the future.
Liang’s increasingly surprised and fed-up response to Huijin’s performance set the Chinese Internet on fire. Of course, the massive Communist censorship apparatus was standing by with fire extinguishers. They went to incredible lengths to make it hard for Chinese users to find this video or learn much of anything about Liang Xiangyi:…”

    “The Real Collusion Story
In a textbook example of denial and projection, Trump foes in and out of government wove a sinister yarn meant to take him down.
Barack Obama keeps a close watch on his emotions. “I loved Spock,” he wrote in February 2015 in a presidential statement eulogizing Leonard Nimoy. Growing up in Hawaii, the young man who would later be called “No-Drama Obama” felt a special affinity for the Vulcan first officer of the U.S.S. Enterprise.
“Long before being nerdy was cool, there was Leonard Nimoy,” the eulogy continued. “Leonard was Spock. Cool, logical, big-eared and level-headed.”

    “MCCABE AND THE LOVERS (sic)”
“McCabe and the two lovers demonstrated the very essence of the right stuff: a breezy comfort with bending the law to the demands of politics.”
“They honed their skills on Midyear Exam. As that test ended, an even bigger one loomed before them. At the end of July, Comey and McCabe would officially open an investigation into Russian meddling in the election, including possible coordination between Russia and the Trump campaign.
On July 5, the day of Comey’s press conference on Clinton’s emails, a former British spy, Christopher Steele, flew to Rome to meet an old FBI contact. The information he brought had weighty implications for the impending investigation. But neither the information nor the implications are what we have been led to believe.”

“One particularly clever use of social media was connecting a video called “The Life of Julia,” which depicted how the President’s policies would help a citizen throughout her life, to the viewer’s Facebook account. By the time the viewer finished watching the show, BarackObama.com had trawled through all of the viewer’s Facebook friends, associating their names and birthdates with voting records, gender, and state of residence.”

“THE BIRTH OF THE COLLUSION THESIS (sic)
On July 22, WikiLeaks released the largest cache of DNC emails. The plan behind the hack now became clear: to sabotage the Democratic National Convention, which opened in Philadelphia on July 25. While Clinton was organizing a celebration of Democratic unity, Guccifer 2.0 was working to flood the convention floor with enraged Bernie Sanders insurgents.
In the event, Clinton managed to prevent the protests from ruining the convention. But they did damage her theater of power — and they also handed Trump a fresh opportunity to broadcast his “Crooked Hillary” theme. He took obvious delight in the rage of the Sanders followers. “An analysis showed that Bernie Sanders would have won the Democratic nomination if it were not for the Super Delegates,” Trump tweeted on the eve of the convention.
The statement hit Clinton like an iron bar to her kneecap.”

  14. Had a priest who wouldn’t have those hymns sung because of their imagery. Am an “early Christian” (as in 8:30 service, no hymns) so didn’t bother me. But at the recent funeral of a seriously warrior priest – fought WW II in the tank corps (service officiated by the bishop), there was a rousing version of the “Battle Hymn of the Republic”, complete with trumpets. Church was absolutely packed, and nearly took the roof off. But the former priest, however much I like him, was still a wuss.
