11. I read an alarmist article about the nutria back in the early 1970’s,about the same time as the global cooling panic. They were supposed to spread throughout the Eastern U.S. and wipe out numerous other species.
    Giant “killer bees”?
    The media seems to be unable to report on anything without the “head for the hills” type of hyperbole.
    Trap the damned creatures, use the fur (muskrat) to make coats for refugees,and the meat can go to restaurants as chicken.
    The invasion of left wing lunatics to California has proved to be far more destructive than large water rats ever will be.

12. In New Orleans they know what to do with nutria. They use the fur instead of muskrat. Sheriff’s deputies use them for target practice. When there are too many of them they put a bounty on them. And they cook ’em and eat ’em.
