Why Susan Rice wrote an email to herself;
Susan Rice is far from the brightest bulb on the tree, but she was well aware that by concealing facts ostensibly relating to national security from her counterpart in the new administration-General Michael Flynn-she was, at a minimum, violating longstanding civic norms. If she actually lied to Flynn, she could have been accused of much worse. So Rice wanted to be able to retrieve her email, if she found herself in a sticky situation, and tell the world that she hid relevant facts about Russia from the new administration on Barack Obama’s orders.
What were the secrets that Obama wanted to keep from the new administration? We can easily surmise that the fact that the Steele memo was paid for by the Democratic Party; that the FBI had to some degree collaborated with Steele; that the Clinton campaign had fed some of the fake news in the dossier to Steele; and that Comey’s FBI had used Steele’s fabrications as the basis for FISA warrants to spy on the Trump campaign were among the facts that Obama and his minions didn’t want Michael Flynn and Donald Trump to know. Susan Rice, we can infer, was told to keep these secrets, and if anyone ever asked why she had failed to disclose them to Michael Flynn and others on Trump’s team, or even lied to those people, she would have the defense that President Obama ordered her to do it.

Trump let the Democrats and Never-Trumpers take their best shot last year. All the while he and his allies in Congress and the government were gathering information and gathering evidence. Now it is President Trump’s turn.
Expect more about the FBI and DOJ from their IG. The Congress is also going to expose the US State Department’s criminal acts. Hopefully they will also look at abuses by the FISA Courts. Expect one or more Special Counsels, this time with actual crimes to investigate.
Remember it took 2-1/2 years for Watergate to come to a head, and four years for many of the trials and convictions.
This is just getting started.

At this point, if the destruction of the FISC and the gutting of the Patriot Act aren’t an end result, I feel like the broom won’t have swept cleanly enough.
No matter how well-intentioned the originators are, any judicial, statutory, governmental, or regulatory weapon you create can always be turned around to be used against you. Any and always.
I cannot WAIT for MORE transparency be forced and imposed on … “the most transparent administration in the history of the US”. It seems there are many dark corners (not a dog whistle) of the Obama Admin. that somehow escaped the claim of “transparency”.
I continue to have a feeling in the pit of my stomach … the kind I had when almost being killed in a fiery auto crash as a youth, only to find myself unscathed from the drivers error. America was most likely SAVED by the election of Donald Trump. Oh the irony, a cartoon character of a President … a reality TV Show, and schmaltzy golden guilt developer … quite literally SAVED America from sliding into a FULL Banana Republic Socialist State operated by shadowy bureaucrats capering against the opposition party. I honesty believe we were ONE election away from Republican politicians being “Putined” by HER. Suddenly dying of polonium ingestion and “Arkancide”. Thank you, God. Thank you Trump-voters (esp. in the Rust Belt) … I love you, man (and woman). You have my undying admiration for taking America back. Back from the brink of destruction.
I can still hear the words of my Freshman HS History Teacher, Dick D. He was a very big man, a former National Water Polo player, all 6ft-6, 210 lb. of him. He told the class that America was a Free Market, Constitutional Republic … however … he said that Congress and Politicians had … “America creeping toward Socialism”. This was in 1971. I’ve never forgot those words … and he was soooo correct. If he were only alive to have witnessed this last horrifying Banana Republic of an Admin. … he would just smile and say, I told you so.

So if President Obama-Nation™ ordered Susan Rice to jump off an exceedingly high bridge, a la “Rules for Radicals”, would she have done it…?
Self preservation doesn’t seem to be her strong suit…but then that is the job of mere minions.
