A couple of weeks ago we began a discussion on my blog with the Geological Society of London (GSL) about their published statement on climate change which pretty well follows IPCC orthodoxy. The GSL have participated in the discussion (commenter Polar Scientist). The post is stuck to the top of Energy Matters. We have a series of articles in progress that examine the roles of the Sun’s and the Earth’s magnetic fields in deflecting cosmic rays and how this may impact climate change.

a truly staggering amount of e=mc2. and that’s the ‘tip of the iceberg’ (pun intended); leaving allllll sorts of evidence of the effect it has on this little ity bity ball of blue and green in the path of the e=mc2 stuff.
and yet, and yet, according to the gore et al, this is to be dismissed as irrelevant to the narrative.

The main beneficiary is government, which is why they fund the whole sh*tshow. CO2 is the fundamental building block of all life on the planet, create the justification to control and tax that, then you have total control of all life in it. In practice what you get is taxpayers supporting and cheering along the very robber barons as they take their wealth. Quite a reversal from medieval robber barons who had to collect at the point of a gun.
It’s why freethinking peoples reflexively cringe on discovering the proposed solutions by governments and socialists wholeheartedly support it.
I believe it was one of Gore’s partners who said that carbon credits exchange would become a three trillion dollar per year industry.
That’s real money,and with Gore and Co.’s percentage of the action,the potential profits for him alone are staggering,and all for doing and producing absolutely nothing.

When I struggle valiantly to make it through an “in the weedsy” scientific discussion of Cosmogenic isotopes and their impact on our climate … I feel so much like the “Rocket Man” (no, not the little squat NORK) who declares … “… all this science, I don’t understand, it’s just my job, five days a week …”
While I generally understand the discussion … let me say that I … “can drive a car, but can’t self-drive other people’s cars”. My self-tested 130 IQ cannot possibly absorb the science being discussed by the specialists in the field … who even break-down and limit THEIR understanding to certain types of cosmic isotopes.
Which all gets calculated to make me a “denier” who doesn’t “believe” in the “science” of man-made Global Warming. If I can be discarded as too much of a Christian fundie, and too “science illiterate” to understand man-made Global Warming … then what of the vast unwashed masses who have not so much as enrolled in a single community college class, let alone actually graduated high school?
Ohhh yeah … that’s where easily “understood” slogans like … “the science is settled” … come in handy. It doesn’t take a 130 IQ to declare … “ yeahhhh maaaan … you Deniers are all stoopid poopy heads”.
Kenji, the main take homes are 1) the glaciations beat to a 41,000 year obliquity cycle (that is oscillations to the tilt of Earth’s axis) 2) a quasi 1200y solar cycle controls what we understand about historic climate change – Little Ice Age, Medieval Warm Period etc and 3) there s the anthropogenic CO2 cycle.
The IPCC and the GSL take cognisance of 1 and 3 but not 2.
At last.
A use for the parasites.
Fire them into the sun.
Just as virgins might calm volcanoes.
Extra mass might increase the solar output.
Using the impeccable logic of mass hysteria,( UN, CC,or your friendly bureaucrat,) even though the first 100,000 will have no measurable effect,I believe,thus the sacrifise must go on.
Naturally that would be a sacrifice on other persons part.

Given the level of dishonesty and quasi religious nastiness inflicted upon the public by the fools and bandits in this case,I intend the cooling due to this solar cycle to be a source of terror for the enlightened ones..
People are going to laugh at them and slap them sillier anytime they insist on their greater intelligence and greater fitness to lead society.
