I didn’t venture into this story when it surfaced a few days ago. I read it this evening.

Jesus Christ.. these people ran the show for 8 years and were a hair’s breadth from running it for another term.
Obama was the most traitorous President to ever hold office. But we ALL already knew that BEFORE he (Xe? Shim?) was elected. The media KNEW it, but refused to report it. The voters KNEW it … but were afraid to NOT vote for our FIRST half-Black President.
And then … the Republicans nominated a wimpy candidate named Romney … who didn’t appear to even WANT to win … and in his second 4-Years … Obama was “much freer” to caper unmolested in the bowels of the Deep State.
God delivered Donald Trump, and now Republicans like Mitch McConnell MUST stay on-board and return TRUTH, JUSTICE, and THE AMERICAN WAY … to our nation. Like NOT giving-away our country to the open borders crowd.

Come on guys, we’re better than this. I make no claims to knowing Hezbollah’s potential involvement in drug trafficking or organized crime. I detested the Obama administration and what it stood for. But large swaths of this article are obviously made up out of whole cloth. Seriously, do you really believe the DEA (the U.S. Drug Enforcement Organization!) has somehow morphed into an international espionage agency that has penetrated into the top echelons of the Iranian, Russian, Venezuelan and Syrian governments? Do you believe these guys have the goods on Putin needing to use a Hezbollah linked weapons smuggler in Syria and Iraq? (As opposed to the Russian military freighters docking in the Port of Tartus or the Russia-Iraq contract for T-90s and the SU 25s.) Do you really believe there is this high level operative named Ghost who moves tons of cocaine for his day job, but in his spare time moves sarin gas into Syria? Who is so unknown they don’t even have a picture of him, but is so well known they know the café he goes to each day to chat sociably about his drug running and military hardware selling plans over the next eight hours?
One could go on and on picking apart this garbage, but consider these two points. These guys in the DEA ran this operation for close to a decade, and didn’t get one Hezbollah linked arrest (although they tried to staple themselves to the Europeans that did.) Count how many excuses in this article they came up with as to why they were so close to breaking Hezbollah’s drug scheme open before X, Y or Z happened, finally culminating in the excuse mean Obama wouldn’t let them arrest anyone. Does this really sound credible? Keep in mind they started under the Bush years. The second point is, does it really seem logical that Iran would walk away from the dropping sanctions deal because Hezbollah operatives in far off Lebanon were charged with moving drugs into the U.S.? Really?
Politico produces crap. Most of it is targeted against conservatives. Why would it be any different when it was targeted against liberals?

I have absolutely no problem with entertaining the idea that the Obama administration chose to go easy on Hezbollah. As mentioned, I do not know if Hezbollah is involved in organized crime and I do not pretend to know all of the questionable decisions made by the Obama administration. What I do know is that there is so many clear falsehoods in this Politico article that you have throw the entire piece out. Take for instance this gem “Of particular concern: A 25–year-old Lebanese man that Kelly described as the network’s “command and control element,” according to the email. The young man was not only in contact “with Joumaa and some of the other top drug traffickers in the world” but also “leaders of a foreign [country’s] black ops special forces; executive leadership of Hezbollah; and a representative of a company which is most likely facilitating the development of WMDs.”” Whatever one might think of Hezbollah, they are very careful. It is an exceedingly tight organization and the upper echelons are very clandestine. I can assure you, the only command and control element a 25 year old would be in charge of was an infantry section, and most certainly not hanging with their executive leadership and special forces, let alone having WMD as his assigned hobby.
Sorry, but every third paragraph in this article can be lampooned. Whatever truth there might be mixed in as well is entirely tainted. Toss this article in the trash and try to find something credible on the subject.
