Commissioner Dick, I am writing to you as a concerned Canadian about the status of islam in the UK. As one who has friends there and the home of my ancestors I am totally dismayed at what is happening. For decades your former Home Secretary, Theresa May, and now your Prime Minister allowed muslims to attack, sex-slave and degrade literally tens of thousands of young girls and you and your fellow officers did NOTHING to stop it and are still doing nothing to aid your fellow citizens. You arrest and charge anyone who dares to complain, including their parents, about this disaster of your own making.
We in Canada are seeing the same cowardice in our officials as you display. For the life of me I can not understand why you are protecting this theocracy that is accelerating in its desire to make the UK into another muslim country in which you and your partner, as lesbians, will be killed. Our Premier in Ontario is also a lesbian yet stunningly follows in your footsteps. We were taught as children to rely on police officers to defend us not to walk away and allow this cruel, vicious theocracy to brutalizes the nation’s most helpless.
I have been to the UK many times but my wife and I will never again travel to it, a country my dad, uncles and grandad fought to defend. They are surely rolling over in their graves to see what you and your ilk have allowed to happen to it.

I used to be a long-time listener to the BBC World Service, starting when it was on shortwave. The term “Asian” has usually meant India and Pakistan as opposed to the region along the western Pacific, which includes China, Japan, and Korea.
The drive for diversification started years ago. The BBC news channel on TV has few Caucasian announcers now. It’s mainly people with the aforementioned ethnic backgrounds.
The first step is for all white employees of the BBC to resign immediately and open their jobs up to non-white applicants. The only reason they have those jobs is “white privilege”.

When I started listening to the BBC World Service on shortwave, it was a station with real class, complete with stiff-upper-lip discipline and precision. It long was the favourite of shortwave listeners and it was regarded as the most trustworthy source of news.
It started changing in the mid-1990s when it did two things. First, the transmitters were farmed out to a private company while the actual broadcasting end was still the BBC.
Then it started juggling its schedule to make it supposedly more suitable to its various target regions. Shows that I used to listen to mid-mornings were on during the early evenings. Before that, if I couldn’t listen to a program at a certain time because of, say, a poor signal, I could always try a different airing on another frequency.
By the end of the ’90s, it started phasing out its SW transmissions, assuming that all its listeners had access to the Internet. (Tell that to someone who listened to it out in the bush.)
I started listening again over the Internet about 15 years ago and I was astonished by how it had changed. The stiff upper lip manner was replaced by the sort of frivolity and joviality that one would hear on a Top-40 station in North America. One thing that annoyed me was how rude and arrogant the interviewers had become, often to the point of insulting the people they were speaking with.
I finally gave up on the BBC world Service a few years ago. The station that I had loved and respected for several decades had become unsuitable to listen to.

Apparently today is some sort of holiday in the USA called “Black Friday”. Not to be outdone, Canadian Tire was advertising yesterday as “Red Thursday”.
