  1. I would lay a few hundred on the table that these leaks are the result of left wing environMENTAL sabotage. These earth scum will stop at nothing, and they are financed by the devil incarnate himself with billions of dollars scraped off the backs of hard workers through shorting the pound and currency manipulation. So nice we have to share a planet with this stinking garbage, the pipeline companies and good oil workers better start to realize these creeps will continue this, and vigilance and reporting suspicious activity is important.

  2. Meet one of Winnipeg’s most visible and vocal community organizers.
No prog. SJW is complete without their keffiyeh. (On his FaceBook page is a painting of him in a Che hat, with “Viva La Revolution!”)
Do not be surprised if this person soon becomes an elected official in Manitoba, following in the footsteps of Robert Falcon Ouellette, Liberal MP from Winnipeg, who spends more time promoting his personal brand (his riding office has a red, white and black falcon logo) than the party.

  3. Temperature yesterday at Eureka, station Nunavut, -40.8° C. Coldest temp ever recorded on that day, -45° C in 1964. Are we in a global cooling trend??

  4. I’m surprised they didn’t express the leak in terms of tablespoons. In fact, the leak would be about the amount that would fill a 30 foot cube….or 7 rail cars. And yes, I think that the notion of some kind of sabotage is not out of the question. And if that turns out to be the case, then all hell should be unleashed on those freaks.

  5. If it turns out to be sabotage, then the leftists will claim it’s all the more reason that Keystone should be shut down for good. After all, it’s supposed to be foolproof and perfect, incapable of being tampered with.
Real technical wizards those lefties are…..

  6. Stop laughing you haters, it is a real tragedy that so much valuable oil have been wasted.

  7. When I drive to Florida from Montreal, I put about 100l of gasoline into the environment, (5l per 100km for 2000km). When I fly to Europe from Montreal, I put about 250l of gasoline/kerosene into the environment. (Also about 5l per 100km for 5000km.) So, when an Airbus 340 (about 250 seats) flies from Montreal to Paris, it puts about 60,000 litres of kerosene into the environmment. Both Air Canada and Air France fly this route at least once each day, putting about 120k litres into the environment. 700k litres? That’s serious money. But here’s my question: How many people on these daily flights “work” for the Canadian government, a European government, are going to a conference supposedly to help the environment?

  8. Here’s a little juxtaposition I ran into over at National Review yesterday.
Senator Sherrod Brown: “I just think it would be nice, just tonight, to just acknowledge, well, this tax cut isn’t really for the middle class. It’s for the rich . . .”
    http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/453867/orrin-hatch-sherrod-brown-argument-during-tax-reform-bill-senate-hearing
“While the Republicans deserve criticism for including this bizarre handout, the measure was actually introduced by the Democratic senator Sherrod Brown from Ohio.”

  9. There was a column in the Post earlier this year about all the safety features built into the (now defunct) pipeline that would have included increased tanker traffic off the coast of BC (the name escapes me) One stat cited in the article was that Canadians through all their vehicular usage, drip, spill or otherwise let slip into our sewers more oil than one tanker’s worth of oil.
And in today’s Financial Post, the lead is about Ellis Ross, the former chief counselor of the Haisla Nation near Kitimat who laboured for > 13 years to improve Indigenous economic self-sufficiency through oil projects “only to see it all come crashing down because of what he believes are misguided government actions that burden those projects with unnecessary costs.”

  10. I just saw that new Justice League movie last night.
They should have called it the Social Justice League.
They spent the first five minutes setting up a terrorist attack on a Muslim immigrant shop owner and her young son. The obvious villains? A pack of skin heads and dapper white male in his sixties.
Thank heavens that Wonder Woman could save the day when no man could!
Throughout the movie, if one “were to replace “He” with “Obama”, the story wouldn’t change at all as they all lament the loss of Superman” and pine for his return.
Of course, Wonderwoman rises to be the eventual leader of the group through her superior leadership skills and the day is saved.

  11. It was rigged-DJT, Donna Brazille, The Bern followers, alt left, wikileaks
    Not us-Putin
The Russkies did it-HRC, MSM, CBCpravda, CTVtass, Globull,DNC

  12. When do we get statistics on the number of solar panel installers who have fallen off roofs?

  13. Ya. I would be pissed off for a long time too if I didn’t get something that I BOUGHT AND PAID for.

  14. Robert, especially hilarious when you remember this…
Flashback: Clinton Said Not Accepting Election Results Was ‘Horrifying’.
“She went on to say, “That’s not the way our democracy works. We’ve been around 240 years. We’ve had free and fair elections and we’ve accepted the outcomes when we may not have liked them and that is what must be expected of anyone… Clinton, apparently taken aback by Trump’s response to the matter, hit back “That’s horrifying.”
I swear, the DNC employs a response team to erase the word ‘hypocrisy’ from every single liberal owned dictionary in America.

  15. Hillary suffers from many ailments; mental illness being the one that stands out for me.
The alcohol and drug abuse are only the precursors to deep down mental rot.
One can’t spend their whole life fixated on questionable practices and moral vacancy without ultimately becoming the product of one’s own warped thinking.
I believe Hillary will ‘die in bed of natural causes’ in the near future.
The Left being into Environmental Conservation are very good at responsibly composting all that has stopped being useful in their quest for dominance at all cost!
    Hillary has become a liability.

  16. Speaking of horrifying. No one has ever taken Hillary to task for accepting the debate questions from Brazille. Isn’t that called cheating? She should be made to answer for that.

  17. First, pipeline leaks are serious but, yes, it needs to be put in perspective. The media’s use of big numbers to manipulate readers is just one more reason I have little respect for them as a profession. They’re not honest brokers of information. Trust me on this, I’m over 24,177,600 minutes old.
Given the spotlight on pipelines, pipeline companies need to do better at detecting leaks earlier and tighten up their security. Environmentalists are a militant bunch and I doubt there’s any limit to their fanaticism. Remember when they used to drive spikes into trees creating serious risk of injury loggers. The millenial environmentalists have the potential to be much worse because of how they have been raised and educated.

  18. Does anyone know whether any Indian Tribe or New York Times Reporter have expressed concerns about the increased EMF from the new green energy transmission lines? You know, the new green energy infrastructure which calls for all sorts of new high power transmission lines cris-crossing the native lands? Aren’t they worried about all the increased cases of brain cancer and childhood cancers these high power lines will cause among the native peoples?

  19. Yeah, the Canadian media figured fast that 700,000 litres sounds badder (sic) than 5000 barrels.
A radio station in Calgary in fact quoted the figure 800,000 just to impress the green fascists.
Apart from this, it remains to be seen if this is sabotage. That would be familiar tactic of socialists, fascists, communists and other assorted ‘ists.

  20. Heh, the units are just a irrelevant decoration, the bigger the number the more impressed the “journalists” are to use it.

  21. I like the term “Climate Scientologist”…..after watching a few of those Leah Remini episodes, I find the tactics of the “Scientologists” very similar in nature to those of the global warming/climate change fascists.

  22. My, my, those carbon taxes sure are effective in reducing global warming, aren’t they?

  23. Let’s put this in perspective. This amounts to about 8 tanker cars. If it had happened on a train derailment chances are very good there would have been an ignition point, Lac Megantic anyone. As it is, this is no more an environmental disaster than the oil that accumulates everyday on highways across the globe with the exception that it can easily be reclaimed.
I may be showing my age here but it really isn’t that long ago that used oil and oil waste was spread on county roads throughout Canada to keep the dust down.

  24. Meanwhile something that the enviro-weinies are totally impervious to is the escalating risk that is coming over the horizon. The Trudeau government is continuing apace with the practice of bringing in 300,000 refugees every year. We have been unable to maintain our infrastructure properly for a number of years and yet we continue to artificially grow our population. Now in the pantheon of Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité we have an academic espousing a solution to the growing problems in Europe.

That like socialism has worked out so well where it has been tried before.

    “DEFINING DEVIANCY Down
How We’ve Become Accustomed to Alarming Levels Of Crime and Destructive Behavior
    BY DANIEL PATRICK MOYNIHAN
In one of the founding texts of sociology, The Rules . of Sociological Method (1895), Emile Durkheim set it down that “crime is normal.” “It is,” he wrote, “com- pletely impossible for any society entirely free of it to exist,” By defining what is deviant, we are enabled to know what is not, and hence to live by shared standards. Durkheim does not imply that we ought to approve of crime–” [p]ain has likewise nothing desirable about it”–but we need to understand its function. He saw reli- gion, in the sociologist Randall Collins’s terms, as “fun- damentaUy a set of ceremonial actions, assembling the group, heightening its emotions, and focusing its mem- bers on symbols of their common belongingness” In this context “a punishment ceremony creates social solidarity.”

  26. Ahhhh … so THATS what the leftist nirvana looks like … criminals capering freely … while the general population is provided an academic explanation for their dead relatives. I believe Truman Capote wrote about that kind of Cold Blooded misery.

  27. Now in the pantheon of Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité we have an academic espousing a solution to the growing problems in Europe.
What a great idea! Now all the French have to do is to remove the red and the blue from their national flag to represent this proposed arrangement.
“Le jour de gloire est arrivé”, indeed.

“A mission for journalism in a time of crisis
In a turbulent era, the media must define its values and principles, writes Guardian editor-in-chief Katharine Viner”
“But the turbulence of our time may demand that we do more than adapt. The circumstances in which we report, produce, distribute and obtain the news have changed so dramatically that this moment requires nothing less than a serious consideration of what we do and why we do it.” (grauniad)

  29. I am getting horrendously exhausted / shocked by how many Canadian conservatives of anti-Russian background are making excuses for Trump and his pro-Russian stances & refusal to criticize Vladimir Putin. WTF — these are people I know who are fanatically anti-russian but yet excuse Trump of his positions. WTF
nevermind allegations of collusion etc etc.
Facts: Trump Campaign deleted resolutions to provide Ukraine with lethal weaponry in July 2016 (benefits followed). Flynn talked to Russian ambassador Kislyak on same day Obama announced sanctions against the Russians and promised what?, the GOP senate felt it was necessary to codify sanctions against Russia in July 2016 and passed with veto proof numbers in the house & senate and yet Trump railed against it, Trump has sat on a approval to sell NOT give lethal weaponry to Ukraine (including javelins & anti-aircraft weaponry) — all weaponry that Obama got his nobel peace prize for convincing Ukraine to destroy under the Yushchenko government in 2006 and Obama refused to supply Ukraine with while he was president — Trump has sat on this approval for 4+ months after Pentagon approved, State Department approved, National Security Council approved, Congress approved, Senate approved, special envoy Volker approved, UN ambassador Haley approved but yet Trump has done nothing.
add in the fact that Trump refuses to say a single negative thing about Putin yet has lots to say about everybody — GOP & Dems alike, NATO, allies, adversaries of the USA (except Russia), media, judiciary, etc etc. Putin is the one person who escapes his rants. WHY?
I am convinced he has been bought and/or compromised and is subservient to Putin. His behaviour screams volumes.
my thoughts and shock again why so many who should know better think otherwise. :O
