It is true there are many reasons why Hollywood is ” sinking” but the fact they have become more and more involved in doing anti-white male, anti-conservative , pro-left, pro-multiculturalism propaganda is certainly one of the reasons.

Even earlier, in the late 1960s/early ’70s, a number of anti-war/anti-establishment movies were made. Many of them didn’t do well and a lot of those that brought in decent audiences didn’t age well.
For example, nearly 2 weeks ago, TCM showed the movie Steelyard Blues, featuring Jane Fonda and Donald Sutherland. While it may have been funny nearly 50 years ago, I found it stale and anachronistic. I switched it off a bit more than halfway through.
And when the OBSCENE Hollywood $$ money $$ goes away … so goes its “influence”. When Hollywood can no longer AFFORD to lecture the deplorables about “racism”, “cis-genderism”, “the evils of Christianity”, “evil white men”, “misogyny”, “colonialism”, “sexual repression”, “smallpox blankets”, “child sexuality”, et.al. … then we can all go back to REAL life.

if I had the resources, assistance and know-how, I would set up a privately run referal and documenting centre with appropriately trained and screened personnel so that if a sexual harassment/assault/etc individual victim dreaded publicity but still wished to report same, they could do so with iron clad anonymity that if they so chose, could disclose only to certain very very confidential parties like a law firm or whatever. the objective being if a certain ‘player’ be it a hollyweird mogul or even some satanic boss, the complaints against said offender would accumulate to the point where there were so many of them, they could never deduce who the whistleblower was and engage in reprisals. then, the victims would all be advised the ‘tipping point’ had been reach and would they now wish to take it to the authorities?

The last movie my wife and I went to the theatre to see was Independence Day in 1996. We quit getting cable TV in Spring 2000.
We buy DVDs of TV shows after seeing trailers+reading the reviews on the internet only after they have completed 2 seasons and are already showing the 3rd season on TV.
We rarely buy a DVD of a movie. We like the TV shows because character development is so much richer. A lot of the TV series we have been following have been concluding since 2016 and we like very much fewer of the trailers of the new offerings. Many of the ones we were planning to buy were axed at the end of the 2nd season so we won’t be seeing/buying any of those ones.
We have started buying DVDs of older TV series like “Walker, Texas Ranger”, “the Carol Burnette Show”, “Cheers”, because we need the laughs of the lighter shows and are getting tired of all the sexual innuendo, the bloodshed, and the darkness. And yes, we are overtired of all the PC propaganda stereotypes.
It seems there is a dearth of creativity going on. This creative famine is affecting movies, TV shows, and even the larger video game houses. I think the minds of the story tellers are so full of PC Leftist political crud that they have reached a bottleneck of thought and what trickles out of the bottle is what people like us don’t want to drink.

I remember when Hollywood would turn out biograhies of people we could admire. The only ones I see now are about black athletes or black musicians because that is allowed and will probably earn Oscar nominations.
Leftist politicize everything, including biographies. That being the case, since all of the admirable people are not Lefties, they can’t very well do any biographies that are worthy of remembrance.
That said, it should be remembered that no public monuments of any kind(this includes parks/mountains/fountains/statues/bodies of water/buildings/bridges/dams/roadways/ect. ect. ect.) should be named after people still living because they can still cover themselves in infamy before they die.
No one living should be lionized until all of those who may live in fear of them speak out after their death.
Boomers are the longest lived people still yet living and there are doubtless some worthy of biographies.
Whether or not these stories are told depend on the stranglehold that Leftists maintain on the telling of History.

EXAMPLE: most people do not know the Abe Lincoln was a Republican. They do not know that the secessionist states were Democrats. They also do not know that the Democrats of the Civil War era were anti-war.

The Democrats pose as the Champions of the Negroes whom they enslaved and fought to keep slaves, and the Democrats call the Republicans racists and Negro haters.
How has the flip happened? It is about those who write and teach History which is a Humanities University course.
If the Left continues to control Humanities University courses, the worst is yet to come.
