After the failure of the right to invigorate the Calgary voter last week, the Alberta NDP goes on the offensive.
That’s not her new title, of course. Her new designation is infrastructure minister. But her unofficial job will be to build the government’s credibility and popularity in Calgary. That is a daunting construction project.
The NDP may have won 15 seats in the city last election, but it is deeply unpopular in Calgary, according to every public opinion poll. Premier Rachel Notley is looking for ways to reverse the trend.
