    Not only does Hollyweird defend this creep but CELEBRATE him, including Meryl Streep during the 2003 awards!
    No Hollyweird is not serious about child and/or sex abuse via Polanski, or Swinestein…merely hypocritical in a vast way.

    The narrative has shifted sufficiently today for these stories to now be talked about.
    Hollywood has always been a cesspool of debauchery.

  4. I’d like to see Hollywood admit it has a problem because abuse of women (and children? and men?) should not be tolerated. In the flurry of political posturing and finger pointing, I think there’s a tendency to forget about the people who were abused. It’ll be tough though. After spending decades on emergency PR for actors with substance abuse issues, domestic violence, DUI, adultery, etc. Hollywood executives are pros at cleaning up the scene and hiding skeletons in the closet.
    That being said, I think the damage has been done. Every time Hollywood starts preaching about morals, ethics and politics they’ll be reminded of this scandal and their failure to act, no pun intended.

  7. I’d expect that if it can’t be contained then there will be a big, public, collective response from Hollywood. Think “We Are The World” type of showmanship. They’ll all pledge to do better, to make the fight against abuse their life’s work. There’ll be perfectly timed tears. Fabulous speeches. Standing ovations. Big group hugs of support and forgiveness. Then all of this will be forgotten by them. Show’s over…That’s all folks.

    Have you noticed, with very rare exceptions, that famous leftards who now feel cornered into a “statement” condemn his actions but refuse to say anything negative about the man himself? Many made their statements without even mentioning Weinstein’s name at all.
    He has claimed he is leaving the country for “rehabilitation” but some suspect he is avoiding prosecution, Polanski style.
    NBC had this story YEARS AGO and decided to bury it. Cause, you know, they really respect women and stuff.
    Hilary also refused to blame him directly which further proves she has yet to meet an abuser of women she didn’t respect. Hell, she married one.
    Even guys aren’t safe from Hollyweird moguls. James Van Der Beek claims “I’ve had my ass grabbed by older, powerful men, I’ve had them corner me in inappropriate sexual conversations when I was much younger…
    Rose McGowan learned on Wednesday that her Twitter account has been suspended because the actress kept speaking out against Weinstein and others for their sexual misconduct.
    The left’s mask has slipped off entirely over this scandal.

Now that the word is out, and will get louder as the days go on, no reasonable person would believe that the Obama’s didn’t know something was creepy and yet they still sent their daughter to the Weinstein dungeon. And if they had NO idea (remember Barack only learned of things by reading the newspaper) wouldn’t somebody from that cesspool give Mom Obama a whispering heads up? Makes me cringe thinking a loving mother could knowingly put her daughter in any kind of jeopardy.

    The slimeballs aren’t slimeballs BECAUSE they’re Jewish, they’re slimeballs because they’re products of liberal educations, especially Law (and Political Science). Why? Because Judaism puts a very high value on education, much as Chinese culture does, and a very high percentage of Jews go on to University and beyond.

  35. Actually he wasn’t, having just being elected. He was looking for something to jump start reelection prospects and stumbled onto the anti-Red thing. His famous speech was quite a bit later Feb 1950. It’s fair to say he copied other notables in Congress, some of them on the HUAC, but In 1947 he was really obscure.

  37. That is correct, or partly so. The problem is that Hollywood itself has linked McCarthy to investigating, harassing the entertainment industry in several movies. Wiki even claims that, as I just looked there. In fact he was obsessed with communist infiltration of government and his investigations were aimed at various government organizations. He left Hollywood to others, mostly HUAC; not to say he didn’t support them, but he wasn’t directly involved. HUAC was in the business investigating Reds for a good decade at least before McCarthy even appeared on the scene. So although his name has been linked with the period, he did not initiate Red investigations and he was not concerned with Hollywood. There were others ahead of him, but he makes such a good villain that he gets associated with all investigations.

I suggest you and a few others in here read some of the articles written by Jewish authors on both of those topics, because if left unchecked there could well be another holocaust.

    The guy that interviewed her asked her about this situation, if she submitted.

  47. The sad part of the McCarthy story is that he was right. Just look around. Our universities and media are full of Alyinskis and Ayers. Oh to be sure, they don’t call themselves communist, but hide under the progressive label.
