What do people think a governing Party to do? Hire people who do not support them? The Liebels, Conservatives, Dippers, GOP and Dem’s all do it. Completely justified IMO. It is the governing party’s responsibility to ensure the graft is not excessive and that objectives are met.

The only real industries that are going here in BC, are tourism due to the dollar, and the housing growth industry, condo construction due to interest rates. Successive ENDP and Fiberal governments have kept beating down the resource sector, to the point where forestry is a dirty word, and mining is near impossible. The ENDP will be sure to deliver the coup de grace to both industries.
When the inevitable collapse comes in the housing industry, our economy will fold much like Alberta’s did, and there will be no quick fixes, just like the 90s. Of course, Whoregan’s solution will be more gubmint spending, just like the 90s. We all know how well that turned out, yet the ENDP keep repeating their policies, expecting it to turn out different this time.
For me, I will be fine, retirement is coming within 5 years, its my kids I worry about, its the young adults that always take it on the chin from the bloody marxists. Ever see a unionist give up their seniority for a younger memeber? That’s when you see the selfish marxist show their true colours!
This is going to kill the BC Greens. They are where they are largely because a large naive chunk of the population sees them as ‘clean’, which is more important to them than environmental stuff. The Greens are destroying this ill-deserved reputation, and the NDP should not assume those votes will just naturally go there way like the UK Cons assumed UKIP votes would all head their way (it was split 50-50 with Labour).
There is hardly a political party in existence anywhere that once elected to office doesn’t do the very things it criticized the previous regime for doing. Unfortunately, it’s the citizens who get screwed, if anyone does.
