Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

This shameful practice of concealing the (non-caucasian) identity of criminals is de-rigour here in the heart of the beast … Silicon Valley. It’s been common practice for at least 10 years … think Obama’s reign. Concealment of the TRUTH is … to use the words of the Left … unsustainable. Eventually, the victims, the police, and the public, tire of bearing the brunt of this deception. Which is done in the name of “racial equality” … “racial justice” … “Islamophobia” and whatnot. All that matters is the TRUTH. And if that TRUTH reflects poorly on a certain “community”, then so be it. Fix the problem at its roots … not after the fact of the criminality. Try fixing your own damn problems … and don’t LIE to the public about the crime rate and crime perp identity. THAT isn’t “solving” racism, or the other excuses for the LIES. Democracy dies in the DARKNESS of media LIES and deception.
So if the CBC ‘filters’ the news, why are we still paying for this propaganda. Joe Q. (dumb as a bag of hammers) Citizen can only respond to the ‘news’ as it is reported, if the CBC only reports the filtered stuff then they are criminally negligent in delivering a product that the Canadian taxpayer is paying for. Perhaps a class action suite should be brought against the CBC for will-full and criminal negligence. And to all the trolls and Liberals out their that are going to claim that this is only a one of situation go and read some of the news articles from Europe where the Muslim mosques are used as arsenals and distribution centers. As many have stated here before we are going to be in for a whole lot of hurt before this multicultural issue is resolved.
“If this was Fred Smith, avid deer hunter & target shooter, CBC would be planning a four part Marketplace “Tools of Satan” extravaganza.”
Kind of sums it up…
The only way to reconstruct the beast of big government is when the voting bloc of the MTV believes it’s in their benefit to elect the politicians that will do it.
Trump demonstrated how it’s done by posing the question:
“How has voting Democrat for the last few decades actually helped ?”
Paraphrase that this way
“How has supporting CBC as opposed to using that billion a year on something else made your life better?”
Hurmph ….auto correct
Meant deconstruct not reconstruct
Never mind this trivial stuff. What type of socks was Justin wearing today? CBC viewers have a right to know.
Trudeau’s speech to the UN was pathetic and puke inducing.
I bet he is not a southern Baptist.
Sorry, wrong thread but it could tie in, I’m sure the CBC gave it a thumbs up,it was a load of crap.
No need to wonder how they would treat the story were the perp’s name Smith, Just juxtapose with this CBC number:
http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/sylvan-lake-drug-bust-1.4298806
Names Docherty, Doyle, Grant and MacSween are in the public interest to know, Ansari not so much.
The Harper governments had 10 years to do away with this progressive propaganda squeak box. They did not and citizens should ask why? The CBC is a parasite.
It’s reverse psychology, they don’t want the other side to know we are onto them, tee hee
Well, Harper certainly had 4 years of majority government, and you’re right, he didn’t do it – so CBC became Tinkerbell’s cheerleaders and helped turf mean old Steve out.
Mostly smaller frame Glocks from what I could see. Good for concealed carry.
There was one Tec9 and what looked like a Mini14 with a wire stock.
All legal to possess by anyone with a restricted PAL except the Tec9 which I believe is prohib.
I despise the CBC as much or more than anyone here but the politics of “killing it” would have been just as fatal or more to the Conservatives as enduring its animosity plus the Spawn would have reversed it (or re-establish it in worse form if that is possible) all to the sound of clapping seals of the msm like everything else he reversed. Harper should have first starved it and then privatized it thus getting it off the books. The progressive toxicity would have remained but it would then have to financially compete with its private sector clones all of which offer the same or worse leftist bilge. More importantly, he couldn’t be accused of “censorship” which he was sure to be bombarded with from killing it.
well put.
It will be interesting to see how this case breaks down in court. I know a few gun enthusiasts, but none of them have as many handguns in their collections as this guy had. I wonder if he had the required restricted PAL. And I wonder if he was a Canadian citizen. And I wonder if any of his acquaintances have similar sized collections. As I said it will be interesting to see the court case as it proceeds through our judicial system and will the CBC keep us informed. LOL!!!!!
*
“antenor asks… I wonder if he had the required restricted PAL.”
ol’ maisum lives in oshawa and the house where the haul was
found is in pickering… about 25 minutes west. the tec9 and
overcapacity mags are are a bit of a tell as well. if he actually
had a PAL, it’s toast now.
and then there’s “the substance” sent for testing.
finally… and i’m just spitballin’ here… my local police department
doesn’t own 30 glocks.

3 SEPTEMBER 2017
Hmmm… an arsenal in his basement…
… but CBC doesn’t want you to know his name…insert alt text here
Officers, aided by the provincial police clandestine lab team, located an unidentified substance along with 33 guns and other prohibited devices, such as overcapacity magazines.
A 33-year-old Oshawa man faces charges that include careless storage of a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm and possession of a restricted or prohibited firearm.
What’s with the secrecy? What could possibly be going… oh, wait… let’s try a non-CBC source…
Maisum ANSARI, 33, of New Providence St. in Oshawa is facing 337 firearms charges …
I googled “Maisum Ansari,” Oshawa and got 88 hits, relating to these illegal firearms and an “unidentified substance” that has been sent out for forensic testing. The name was out there in the public domain, but your publicly funded broadcaster chose to conceal it.
If this was Fred Smith, avid deer hunter & target shooter, CBC would be planning a four part Marketplace “Tools of Satan” extravaganza. They’d be following poor Freddie to the crapper.
CBC is deliberating warping news coverage. It happens on a regular basis. I hate being manipulated. How about you?

When I see a concealed name, I just assume the perp is a member of the Religion of Peace(tm).
That was a pretty pathetic drug bust – $2,400 in cash among 3 people. That was probably their rent money. If this the case they showed on TV and the cash consisted of many one dollar bills. The pigs ripped off the money collection he saved for 30 years.
I’m more concerned with the CBC intentionally hiding his name (misrepresenting the news) and the actual crime committed (making a bomb?) than I am with anyone having small arm pistols in their house.
33, or +300 is of no consequence to me. While having bomb making material, or drug making material, whatever is making his carbon monoxide detectors set off is of a great concern, and that’s the reason he shouldn’t be allowed to have 33 or +300 pistols, which may be more than the local police dept.
I am sure they were all intended to be distributed for “personal protection” … from all us crazy Islamophobes.
*
“marc says… that’s the reason he shouldn’t be allowed to have 33 or +300 pistols”
you may be missing the point here, marc. i’m guessing mr ansari has neither a PAL, nor is a member in good standing at his local gun club. these guns were stashed at a house 20 miles down the road from mr ansari’s primary residence. as far as i am aware, you don’t get to leave restricted firearms wherever you choose. you certainly don’t get to possess “prohibited firearms” or “overcapacity magazines”.
additionally, if these were legal, properly stored firearms, the cops wouldn’t be able to have a dog and pony show for the media.
i had to jump through hoops to get my restricted PAL and every day the RCMP does a batch computer run that checks my name and d.o.b. (and every other canadian firearms owner) against CPIC to see if i’ve been a bad boy… so they can take my guns away.
i accept this as a part of the social contract i have with the field of folk.
people like mr ansari, who choose to possess illegal unregistered firearms spit in the face of the citizenry. he is colouring outside the lines… and to what purpose?
if maisum ansari has bomb-making material (and that has yet to be determined) we should throw him in a cell and weld the door shut… (or, alternatively give him 10 million khadr bucks… i’m so confused).
*
I think I may have missed your point.
But also think that having a 2nd Amendment right to unrestricted gun ownership (the USA example) is more important to me than following gov’t dictates like having a properly complied with PAL (the Canada example). I get it that you’ve decided (being in Canada) to follow that route, and the laws, and have no problem with you having done so.
Clearly, if Mr. Ansari has kept the guns in question 20 miles (or 20 metres, over at the neighbor’s house for example) then they’re not for his personal protection, and so my argument for the unrestricted ownership of personal protection is well off base in this case.
and so, weld the cold cell doors closed. Until he no longer believes in his cause. And no Khadr bux for him.
*
marc…
as a one-time possessor of a new york state concealed carry permit, i am sympathetic to your argument. a recent study in the u.s. revealed that ccw holders were, statistically, the most law-abiding demographic in the entire country. additionally, people with a permit to carry were responsible for fewer “erroneous” shooting incidents than the law enforcement community.
the reality, here in canada, is that you are only allowed to defend yourself in extreme circumstances and you must adhere to proportionality (shooting someone attacking you with a 2 by 4 would be frowned upon) and you must always have tried to retreat before actually taking any defensive action.
tactically, both these caveats are sheer idiocy but it’s how it works in “justin country.”
all i can say is… i find some f@cked up junkie with a rusty screwdriver in my domicile at 4am approaching me with speed and purpose… he’d best look to his life.
i’m perfectly willing to let former attorney general michael bryant’s lawyer duke it out in court on my behalf at some later date. you don’t get any free stabs in this neck of the woods.
*
*
“marc says… having a 2nd Amendment right to unrestricted gun ownership
(the USA example) is more important to me than following gov’t dictates”
all very well and good sir… and again, i’m not unsympathetic, but be aware that in
calgary, as well as the rest of canada… the coppers pinch you with an illegal,
unregistered weapon, you’ll likely find yourself in the graybar motel… next to
scofflaws like maisum ansari.
*
I maybe a little off-base here but I don’t think that a restricted permit is issued for personal protection in Canada. The effort of keeping a handgun in a locked cabinet, with a trigger lock and an empty magazine pretty well eliminates its use as protection in the event of a home invasion. So the one question is why did this guy have 30+ handguns in his possession and the bigger question is why did the CBC not inform us of all the facts.
*
antenor says… I don’t think that a restricted permit is issued for
personal protection in Canada.”
you have be wired in to the “powers that be” to get one. probably
less than a dozen ever issued that i know of.
doctor morton shulman had one… norm gardiner (toronto
businessman & member of police board) had one… ol’ normie
actually lit some guy up.
you’d have to be a member of the laurentian elite (power
corporation, bombardier, canada steamship lines) to actually
be issued a permit these days.
*
*
here’s the boilerplate on canadian ccw…
Protection of Life
For the purpose of section 20 of the Act, the circumstances in which an individual needs restricted firearms or prohibited handguns to protect the life of that individual or of other individuals are where:
(a) the life of that individual, or other individuals, is in imminent danger from one or more other individuals;
(b) police protection is not sufficient in the circumstances; and
(c) the possession of a restricted firearm or prohibited handgun can reasonably be justified for protecting the individual or other individuals from death or grievous bodily harm.
never have to actually eat anything here… you can see it’s written up so that they never actually have to issue a permit… it’s a “friends & family“ kind of deal.
*
A few points …
Some people are allowed possession of prohib guns if they were owned before the rules changed. I know a guy who legally had a full auto Thompson sub-gun.
I looked closer at the gun pic and some seem to be the smaller Glocks. To be legal in Canada those Glocks need the extended Canadian legal barrel. I did not see any extended barrels. Also illegal capacity mags leads me to believe those guns came in from the U.S.
*
“heavily armed deplorable gor says… I know a guy who legally
had a full auto Thompson sub-gun.”
absolutely true… possessors of fully automatic firearms were
grandfathered under existing legislation.
one of the fortunate few who took advantage of this here in
ontario was johnny sombrero of the black diamond riders
motorcycle, “cough, cough” club.
drove the local cops batshit, i’m guessing.
*
“you certainly don’t get to possess prohibited firearms”
Unless you’re me. When they make something prohibited, they typically don’t take it away. I have a 22 cal handgun with a barrel shorter than they like and a semi-auto rifle that looks nasty. My license says I can own 2 different classes of prohibited.
*
scar says… Unless you’re me.”
as i said… possessors of fully automatic firearms were
grandfathered under existing legislation. also anything
with a less than 4.25 inch barrel… snubbies, derringers,
hideout guns and, oh yeah, most police service revolvers.
of course, they can only be passed on or sold to
someone similarly blessed or it’s straight to the crusher.
*
*
there is, of course, an amusing irony in making an anemic 38 calibre, 6 shot hard to reload
colt model 10 police revolver prohibited… but allowing the sale and possession of mag fed
10 shot 40 calibre glock semi-auto pistols.
ask your local copper which one he’d rather face.
*
Initial reaction:
So he faces 337 charges for crimes with no victims and there does not appear to be any intent to commit violence?
Further reaction:
That’s a lot of identical Glocks, seems like the intent to distribute could be inferred.
WTF are “overcapacity magazines?”, is the a new version of what mediots used to call “high capacity clips?”
“Suspicious substance” what exactly are the guidelines for some substance being suspicious? So in other words firefighters seen guns and made $hit up? Given the guns they seen it is not entirely unreasonable that they called cops, but I am willing to bet we will never hear about this suspicious substance again.
All in all it is probably good cops grabbed those Glocks but the process that lead them to it stinks to high heaven.
*
“colonialista shrieks… So he faces 337 charges for crimes with
no victims and there does not appear to be any intent to
commit violence?”
sweet baby jebus.
well, at least we’ve cleared up one niggling question… does “unme”
troll under any other aliases?
*
This sentiment should be repeated often, everywhere, every time there is mention of CBC.
Surprisingly there are a rather number of people that don’t know anything else but CBC.
Oh my, the resident jackboot licker again manages to demonstrate an attention span of a retarded amoeba. Try reading the rest of my post in installments for fuller understanding of what I said. Also look up the word “initial” in dictionary, it is there right after “imbecile”… should be easy to find.
*
colonilista sulks… right after “imbecile”
somebody’s a little testy. as for sheer imbecility… who sees a f@ck-ton of illegal,
unregisterd firearms and starts babbling about “crimes with no victims” and
“no intent to commit violence?”
they teach you that at “bin laden technical college & law school?”
*
Again “initial reaction” you imbecile. When the story first broke out, I heard it from 680 news, and it was reported like countless other stories when later the bad guy turned out to be an aging collector whose license expired and who forgot to renew it. Try reading the rest of what I said, if any of the words have too many syllables let me know.
BTW, just out of curiosity, what do you think is more likely (i) that cops were alerted by the firemen to a suspicious substance that they just happened to find due to a faulty fire alarm, and when cops were investigating the mysterious suspicious substance they just happened to find all those guns, or (ii) that cops knew they could not get a warrant and so they played the dog and pony show with their friends in red trucks? You can ponder it for a while, but not too long.
*
colonialista insists… the bad guy turned out to be an aging collector
whose license expired”
hmmm… well, colon… in every account of this story… while some media
outlets refused to publish the perp’s name… they all clearly stated it was
a 33 year old male from oshawa. not sure where you got aging collector from.
and, while once again calling me a “poopy face” or somesuch… you
neglected to answer my question… so i reiterate…
“who sees a f@ck-ton of illegal, unregistered firearms and starts babbling
about “crimes with no victims” and “no intent to commit violence?”
no intent to commit violence??? you read minds too?
c’mon, what’s up with that… this guy’s your homie? a relative?
*
Well, all I can say is thank allah they caught him before he and friends committed something terrible and blew Justin’s Muslim loving theme all to hell.
Maybe he’s just an avid gun collector, hope the search warrant was legal.
Calling Dennis Edney…………………..
*
“colonialista whispers… cops knew they could not get a warrant and so they
played the dog and pony show with their friends in red trucks?”
because all those cops and firefighters are willing to risk their jobs and pensions
and homes and wives and kids… to nail some shitbag with gawd only knows
what contraband in his stash house? that’s some conspiracy ya got there.
wow. i’m just gonna give you the benefit of the doubt here and assume you’ve
been drinking heavily all weekend and binge-watching “the wire.”
you’re not one of those poor souls who doesn’t believe we landed a man on
the moon, are you?
*
“hmmm… well, colon… ” vs
“once again calling me a “poopy face” or somesuch… ”
You must be irony proof.
“not sure where you got aging collector from”
From the initial report I heard on the radio. Try to keep up.
“no intent to commit violence??? ”
Yes, based the initial report, that in case you still have problems reading beyond the third line of my original post, I have revised as soon as I have read more about the story. Is that really so difficult to follow?
“you read minds too?”
Funny, you sound like unme who too was amazed at what he perceived as my mind reading ability: http://www.smalldeadanimals.com/2017/09/more-pavilions-225.html#comment-1124377 my reply to him applies equally to you.
“because all those cops and firefighters are willing to risk their jobs and pensions and homes and wives and kids…”
Right, like they really risk anything here, like it is difficult to find stories of Ontario cops getting away with much more than that with a full blessing of their supervisors and chiefs.
*
colon, buddy… (hey… i didn’t choose your rousing nom de guerre)… you’re sticking with
your “two dozen cops & firefighters got together to frame this poor man because… why?”
conspiracy theory?
that’s so lame, i almost feel bad responding.
but, once again… because you seem to have trouble understanding simple sentences,
for the third time i ask…
“who sees a f@ck-ton of illegal, unregistered firearms and starts babbling about
“crimes with no victims” and “no intent to commit violence?”
c’mon now… you can do it.
*
If the guy was of English origin and from rural Saskatchewan, and he had a .22 single shot in the trunk of his Crown Vic, they’d have him on THE NATIONAL.
The CBC hates the west with a passion.
Your ability to argue the strawman is truly impressive. Apart for you, who said anything about framing the guy? Or is that the attention span issue we have identified earlier?
You think it is an unreasonable conspiracy theory to assume that they bent the rules and went around the warrant to get him, but it is reasonable to believe that a series of fortunate coincidences got them to that point? Wonna buy a bridge?
“who sees a f@ck-ton of illegal, unregistered firearms and … ”
And again, “hears” not “sees” (you know, like on radio). You consciously twist my words again – quite a demagogue you are. But to answer your question: anyone who knows how cops abuse the law and persecute gun owners for tiniest infringements on a plethora of absurd laws that gun owners in Canada have to follow and how MSM portrays those abuses as valiant police officers keeping us safe from evil assault weapons that spray bullets everywhere. It seems that the only time MSM like cops is when they go after gun owners or march (out of uniform) in pride parades.
*
some shoot/no shoot stuff from the land of the brave…
“If somebody dressed entirely in Confederate flags walks up,
screams DIE GAY ABORTION VEGAN and tries to stab
you with his commemorative Heinrich Himmler SS dagger,
it’s game on.”

*
,
“colon blasts… who said anything about framing the guy?”
hmmm… which snowflake doubled down on… “like it is difficult to
find stories of Ontario cops getting away with much more
than that with a full blessing of their supervisors and chiefs.”
go back and reread what you’ve written. read slower this time.
