  1. Socialist scumbag effort to eliminate history. They hate history and the 100 million bodies they left behind.

  2. I’m no fan of bongo’s but I give him this. He said Canada would not be removing the name of or taking down statues of John A Macdonald.

  3. They changed the Rutgers school song a couple years ago. It had the word “man” in it. No, I am not kidding.
Gave up my season tickets this year. Was sick and tired of seeing my hard-earned cabbage go to what has essentially degenerated into a Left Wing Indoctrination Camp. I should really donate to Prager U instead.

  4. Meh, conservatives have only themselves to blame. Should’ve more strongly denounced the racists/white supremacists clearly in your midsts when y’all had the chance. You didn’t, and now they’ve inextricably tied themselves to–and thereby tainted–the whole of Confederate heritage (flag, statues, songs, etc.).

  5. Many if not most Sovereign American Citizens with even a smattering of U.S.A. Heritage & History understand the State of Maryland is just an Extension of the Democrat Branch of the Washington Elite Sewer.
Do not expect anything to happen in Maryland which has not appeared at least once in the Democrat Daily Talking Points.
This is obviously True to anyone who watched the netflix series “The Wire”. If it comes available setting aside time to watch the complete series will provide one of the best netflix presentation on the Democrat Party’s control of Urban blight and destruction. The story line takes place in Baltimore; Maryland .
Do recall the location for the retreating John Wilkes Booth was the Segragationist State North of Washington D.C. during the Term(s) -very short second Term- of Abraham Lincoln. The hold of the plantation democrat(s) e.g. the Clinton Foundation Rentier plantation, now bordering on disenfranchisement, due to Cash Flow difficulties.
I do wonder why Just in thinking about Rentier plantation(s) is why Canada forwarded Twenty Million Canadian Tax-payer funds to the Rentier plantation. Just in thinking!

  6. The Macdonald propaganda is pure BS. There were residential schools before confederation and the biggest impetus to residential schools was the Indian Act passed by the Liberals. It’s just whining Indians and communists. The media loves whiners.

  7. Maryland is the DC suburbs – pure swamp. Unfortunately so is northern Virginia. Charlottesville isn’t far out of the swamp.

  8. ‘Maryland, My Maryland’ is played and sung during the post parade for the Preakness.
Can’t wait for SJWs to go after ‘My Old Kentucky Home’, played and sung during the post parade for the Kentucky Derby because it contains the word “darkies”. It was actually written as an anti-slavery song but that won’t make a difference to them, they will be offended anyway.

  9. This reminds me of the PROG’s re-writing music “standards” like “Baby it’s cold outside” … because it is about “RAPE” … about “sexual violence” against women … because the lyrics describe how a “man” (ewwwww) seduces a “woman”(yeayyyy) into coming upstairs into his apartment. Clearly (sarc.) it is a song that glorifies RAPE!!
However, none of the old Blues standards (95% about female conquest, if not sexual objectification of women) need be changed … because they are written by black men, and are National treasures. Welcome to pretzel PROGhood.

  10. Eli :
“conservatives have only themselves to blame. Should’ve more strongly denounced the racists……..”
You mean something like “Progressives” not denouncing the hatred & violence of Antifa and BLM?
Actually Conservatives have people like you and them to blame. After all conservatives are not the ones destroying historical monuments and violently stifling free speech. In fact, you’re smug allusion to somehow “winning” here is comical not only because it’s your own free speech and history that’s being silenced, but that there will be violent backlash from the right eventually as these anti western values continue to be pushed with violence.

  11. I think the battle has been lost. This will go on and on and on. The goal is to erase historical memory. We can object, but those bent on destruction seem to have the upper hand whether because of the need for institutions and politicians to feel politically correct, or because of a vast conspiracy (my theory) to get rid of nation states and implement one world government. Logical arguments play no role. Too many people are easily driven by emotion and emotions are being manipulated by the media and the political class on the left. Everyone will suffer from this, but I think it is the end of Western democracies as we have known them.

  12. No, Conservatives do not have themselves to blame. Conservatives are not bigots, Nazi’s or white supremacists. Whenever the opportunity is there, we have spoken against these things. The reason you have not heard a lot of denouncing of these groups is because these groups are not a huge problem. They are a very small segment of the population. I think the current panic around these fringe groups is a deliberately manufactured crisis. Associating them with the heritage of the Confederacy has been an intentional tactic driven by leftists/globalists. Globalists in particular are seeking to erase various aspects of identity. The US South has an historical identity which has its roots in the Confederacy — had to go if we are to have one-world-government. By contrast, Canadian identity has been pretty easy to “disappear” (witness, for example, the complete lack of honouring heritage in our recent 150th activities). Quebeckers are probably an exception (at least in the short term) Some of whom are putting up a bit of resistance. None of these people are bigots. It is just that they have a strong sense of personal identity and value the things that have contributed to that identity. It is a shameful thing to see our Western/Juedo-Christian identity and traditional values being deliberately destroyed in so many ways.

  13. LindaL: “I think the battle has been lost.”
    Nowhere near lost.
It’s easy to view a of minority thugs and vocal screamers as winning, but the reality is that the majority will eventually stamp them down once they understand the reality of their future. That may take some time.
Many a civil war has been fought for less and the “progressives” are actively engaged in creating one they are destined to lose.

  14. “Nowhere near lost.
It’s easy to view a of minority thugs and vocal screamers as winning,…”
I respectfully disagree in some way. These thugs and vocal screamers are a direct result of the educational system and the media being taken over by the radical left. The thugs and vocal screamers are just the vanguard for the Soros’ and Alynskis of the west who have started this civil war. And make no mistake, there is a civil war going on. They thought Hillary was going to win and finish what Obama started.

  15. Seems the Northern Scum are offended. Its interesting Liberals identify as the enemy object.

  16. Does it matter, or do any of the objectors even know Maryland was not part of CSA. Probably no and no.
This current mania for tearing down statues and erasing songs can never be satisfied. The demands to remove the Bedford Forest statue in Tenn a few weeks ago seemed perhaps a reasonable request, given his legacy. But success with such minor Confederate personalities only whetted an appetite for the removal of bust of Lee, Jackson, Davis whoever. If successful there, protesters would move on to earlier Presidents and signers of Constitution, Washington, Jefferson, Adams and so on.
The only way to prevent this was to stand firmly and refuse to tear down any statues, otherwise everyone is up for grabs. How would it even be possible to remove places and institutions named for Robt E Lee? Lee Highway, washington and Lee University, busts for Jacqueline Lee Bouvier Kennedy etc. Such madness was popular in Stalinist countries but the USA is generally held to a higher standard. At least up till now, but today anything is possible.

  17. Ken (Kulak):
Yes I get that. But we are not talking about post-czarist Russia at the turn of the century or even Venezuela and it’s multitude of 19th & 20th century civil wars with alternating “democracy” and dictators.
The so called “radical” patriot movements and citizen empathies towards them in mainstream USA is nothing the world has seen before, due to it’s founding and evolution. The fact that the Liberal MSM marginalizes and demonizes “patriots” does not detract from the reality that they are one of the worlds largest, richest, highly armed and prepared peoples today. Although loosely fit, they are a culturally bound “silent majority” national militia extending from the poorest to the richest, and at all levels of American society.
In other words, It’s an apples and oranges comparison and they are starting to chew at the bit with the MSM, Soros’s, and Alynskites.

  18. I hope and pray you right and that the dark forces of Marxism wanting to bring down liberal democracy have not demoralized and usurped the people too much.

  19. I know this is not central to the discussion, but I disagree about Bedford Forest. He was a remarkable person, and a true leader. I know about his association with the Klan, but at that point the group was an association of ex Confederate soldiers, and only later took to intimidating and harassing blacks. Forest left the Klan at a very early points. He was later a spokesperson for seeking reconciliation with blacks. A problem with all this judging of history is that we most often have little insight into the peoples and circumstances we are judging. I would take down statues of more recent tyranical figures, like Stalin as there are people alive who suffered under Stalin. No one alive today suffered under slavery in the US South. Leave those statues alone.

  20. Ken (Kulak) :
Me too. Regardless it’s going to get very nasty before it gets any better.

  21. “…He said Canada would not be removing the name of or taking down statues of John A Macdonald.”
No, he said they aren’t planning to.
I’m not planning to go on a motorcycle tour in October, but if conditions then are favourable for it, I may decide to.

  22. And what the leftists TOTALLY ignore is that the colonists encountered a stone-aged civilization, and one in which slavery was an entrenched feature (have seen a “slave-killer” club from west coast Canada – beautifully balanced to perform that function). Given the presence of said stone-age people, the question was very much how to help them adjust to the civilization which was engulfing them; the response was obviously flawed, but there were seriously good intentions.
Remember a book, which is otherwise (although, as I remember, a Canada Council award winner), about the Blackfoot in Alberta in the mid-1800’s, essentially while the tribes had horses (stealing and trading) and metal such as knives, but the white man had not yet arrived. Was taking a library course at the time, and my review of the books was “Siksika blonde becomes unlikely heroine during smallpox epidemic”. However, more memorable is the side-story of a girlfriend of the heroine, who was being handed over as a fourth wife or “slave wife”. Seems the advent of horses (stolen from the Spanish and, therefore, serious cultural appropriation) and metal tools (from trading) was not totally beneficial, as witness one elder, in the same book, grousing that horses, etc., had spoiled the tribe.

  23. Next song to be removed from the radio playlists: “The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down” by
