  1. Her saying that Unite The Right has a cohesive platform is like me saying Bernie Sanders has a cohesive platform. It’s not a sympathetic thing to say it’s an objective thing to say; but many have forgotten what that sounds like.

  3. The civil war that Faith has alluded to is being orchestrated by someone, these left rioters do not organize by themselves. We have seen the bus loads of protesters shipped in to cause havoc at the Trump rallies, the shout-downs organized at both US and Canadian universities. The Democrats boasting of how they have orchestrated the mayhem. But what we are seeing now is more flagrant, there was a video on U-tube on Sunday night that appeared to show that the car that rammed the protestors was under attack before the ramming. That video has since been removed from the U-tube site. It evidently didn’t fit the narrative. However the massive attack of the MSM on all things white because of this riot has taken its toll on a number of conservatives or perhaps I should say small l liberals. Brian Lilley has bailed from the REBEL before the whole story has been revealed, Chong, late of the CPC leadership race has stated that he will no longer be interviewed by the REBEL, by their sudden departure they have given more credence to the MSM propaganda than was warranted. The REBEL was trying to show the news by having a reporter on the scene. By their condemnation these two ‘conservatives, have now knelt in fealty to the blatant propaganda that has been pumped out by the MSM for the last number of years. They should both have been aware of a prior orchestration called ‘Operation Canned Goods’ it started WWII. Sometimes things are not as they are painted and I expected more from both Lilley and Chong. You may not agree with every group that is identified and demonized by the MSM as white nationalists, but when you fold your tent at the first critical ‘press report’ then you cannot be depended upon when the going gets tough. And if the riots in America and Europe are any indication the going, is going to get extremely tough.

    As soon as I saw a Tweet announcing Lilley’s departure I replied, “oh good. The CBC will use this as fodder to demand Scheer to disavow.”
    It’ll happen. Even more likely now.
    I sure hope he doesn’t cave to the public pressure but it’s going to be more and more difficult now that the exodus is on.

    The civil war that George Soros and Saul Alinsky wanted and some of us have been warning about for quite some time appears to be happening. The left feels strong enough to begin tearing the USA apart. And, the spin off of this escalating civil war has now come into Canada.

  9. Tough day. For the past two years, I have been heavily invested in the success of the Rebel. I can honestly say that I’ve watched 80%+ of their video content, and have been, and still am, a major fan and financial contributor.
    With the Lilley departure, followed up with Barbara Kay and the nerdy history guy, it’s been like an unexpected punch to the gut. Perhaps two other times in my life – the surprise announcement by Wade Phillips that he was benching Doug Flutie for the playoffs in favour of Rob Johnson, and the discovery of my wife’s extramarital affair – have I felt this discombobulated.
    Sad that Lilley couldn’t just fade away, similar to how Andrew Lawton did a few months back…..He seems intent to try and take down the ship. I obviously misread the guy…
    Cripes. From the coverage and attacks, I might have thought Faith Goldy was the driver using Ezra Levants vehicle.

Too many have jumped to the wrong conclusions too quickly and fail to see that there is more than one or two sides to this. No-one is condoning violence and worse and because you look at all sides does not mean you are a racist. The fact that the ACLU was backing the right to hold this rally and it was a legally permitted rally, speaks volumes. To me anyways. Not to Doug Sweitzer, the UCP Candidate from Calgary who was quick to jump on the bandwagon, and whom I unsubsribed from after telling him I take Faith’s side and sent him her You-tube defense.

  12. Please forgive this repost. I had posted in Reader Tips, but the comment is really part of this discussion:
    Some of this seems to stem from Faith Goldy`s coverage of Charlottesville. I think it was courageous for her and Rebel to go to that event. It was definitely newsworthy. Like Faith, however, I think I misunderstood exactly what that event was about. I actually did think there were legitimate protestors wanting to preserve their heritage and also express support for a rightist perspective. As it turned out, the event was a set up . . . I believe by the left . . . deliberately intended to discredit those on the right. Undoubtedly, there were some neo-Nazis and white supremacists in attendance (that is certainly where the media focus was.) However as a genuine Ùnite the Right event, it did nothing but undermine the credibility of the right. Probably a lot of people recognized this and therefore stayed away. A few more naive people would have attended . . . but the bulk of those sporting Nazi regalia, etc., those carrying torches, etc. have nothing in common with people on the right. It was a set up. Even the leader of the group was a former Occupy Wallstreet protestor. Conservatives would never choose to associate with such individuals. This was not a ùnite the right`event, it was a set up to sow divisions on the right and provide the media with an opportunity to paint the right as a bunch of fools. If you did not realize that going in, you may have had some sympathy for how the demonstrators were being treated by the Antifa thugs and BLM bullies and you would have had concerns about the lack of protection afforded by the police — who had plenty of manpower there. This is about shutting down conservative voices.
    The blowback on Rebel is an example. I do not believe for one minute that anyone at Rebel espouses Nazis or hateful causes. They can push the envelope sometimes, but they are about the only media outlet covering things that are controversial in a way that exposes the hypocrisy and stupidity of the current government. Both Ezra and Faith wrote a defense of their approach. I think they have been unfairly maligned.

  14. I have been saying for some time that America is eventually going to pay a heavy price for breeding and supporting a vast, poor, uneducated (and now violent) underclass. Unwittingly bred … by well-meaning aid to dependent children and a myriad of social programs that propped-up and rewarded the breeders of children out of wedlock. Food stamps and Obama phones for everyone. Children that neither parent could care-for let alone raise. By “redefining family” to be whatever your own miserable arrangement looks like. Add to that … years and years of a million+ legal immigrants per year and 10’s of millions of illegal immigrants and squatters. Add to that, the disappearance of blue collar jobs – the only suitable employment for the underclass. Add to that, FAILing UNIONized public schools. Add to that higher taxes, fees, and all manner of government levies. Add to that 10 years of economic malaise. Add to that the race-baiting of a two-term President. Add to that the pandering of Marxist, Socialist, and communist Democrat politicians. Add to that a massive culture war against “whites” and Western civilization. Add to that Bernie voters who hoped for even MORE FREE STUFF. … … … yes, Faith … the Civil War is HERE … NOW. And it is being waged by an underclass (both LEFT and RIGHT) that is hopeless, poor, disaffected, uneducated, and angry. A Godless mob who see little hope or purpose for their life … outside of “social justice” or “global warming”. Their job prospects are nil. The American Dream is unattainable to a fat, lazy, Millennial playing Warcraft all day long. We are at WAR for our country, our culture, our economic system, our standard of living … everything. We are in an existential struggle to maintain the Republic. Trump was a cry for HELP! … to stop the bleeding of our nation. But it has seemingly only accelerated the cultural conflict.

  15. I am conflicted. I don’t condone racism at all. Yet the screeching calls of racism from the left are, clearly, anti-white, so racist at their core. The folks run down by the car were mostly white, suffering from artificially induced “white guilt”, not blacks. To call this a racist attack, by a white on whites, is insane on the face of it.
    ANTIFA are, by their public statements, socialist agitators at best. Brown shirts at worst. (Remember
    that it was National State SOCIALIST Workers party in Germany…). They started the violence. They own it.
    Shutting down guaranteed freedom of speech by those who say things you do not like ends in violence. Letting them speak ends in polite disagreement. By definition, all “counter protests” are directed at causing violence.
    I have only one question: why are ANTIFA not under investigation for conspiracy to riot and assault? They have clearly done both.

    I’m not a history authority, especially regarding the Civil War, but my guess is the Confederate army, and Southerners fought for their farms and towns and families. Young men got drawn in, and joined, and did what they considered to be their duty.
    I honestly believe the slavery issue was and is overstated, as the sole reason for the war, but it is convenient to many.
    A statue of General Robert E. Lee in a park in America is a historic recognition, not an attack on anyone’s sensibilities.

  17. Equally important is the fact that those Confederate statues have nothing to do with racism as it exists today. The Civil War was a product of its times. It was fought 150+ years ago. The reasons were multiple. Racism was everywhere (North and South), but the institution of slavery was specifically a product of the Southern economy. Many leaders who were in the Confederacy were instrumental in helping the country move past the trauma of the Civil War. Today`s attacks on Confederate memorials are a deliberate attempt to destroy history.
    Racism today is is a complex problem, but to attempt to address the issue by destroying historical artifacts is profoundly ignorant. Maybe the Christians of today should go after Roman statues out of vengeance for their poor treatment by the Romans.

  18. The destruction of the Civil War statues and memorials is an attempt to eradicate the culture of the past.
    A comparable incident was the demolition of the statues of Buddha in Afghanistan by the Taliban over 15 years ago. The Taliban’s justification was that those statues were idols and idolatry is punishable under Islam.
    Similarly, in the Middle East, many sites dating back to Old Testament times are being given Islamic names, courtesy of UNESCO. The reason for that is the claim that the Muslims living in the region are the original indigenous people and, therefore, are “asserting” their cultural identity. Never mind that many of the monuments and structures at those sites were actually built by ancient Israelites.

  19. Exactly, and well said. I actually gained a smidgen of respect for ACLU with their stance. I think we have known for a little while that Sweitzer is a progressive and he came right out into the open with his stand.
    The polarization of society seems to be heading increasingly toward more of these violent confrontations.

It seems as if the leftist orchestrated event in Charlottesville (non-policed illegal march on the “alt right” or whoever they were who were legally protesting the removal of Confederate statues) and resulting partially “police-free” violence has been a litmus test for various “conservatives” in terms of their comfort with Trump’s reaction and even Rebel reporting. There was obviously enough knowledge beforehand for both factions to arrive prepared for combat, giving credence to the question of orchestration. Is it just me or does it seem that there is a peculiar twist on Godwin’s Law happening here. Not only can you not use “Nazi” in describing anyone but you must be so guarded against anyone who may have been seen anywhere near some moron with a Swastika or uttering antisemitic nonsense that you have to take the opposite side of this issue to be considered a decent human. That’s certainly the expectation of the institutional left and their media appendage. Never mind that Nazis were leftists and almost perfectly embodied (minus the blatant antisemitism) in the economic realm by the NDP, Liberals and Democrats and to a lessor degree by Conservatives and Republicans. IOW, statist elements of the National Socialist Workers Party of Germany are present throughout the entire non-libertarian political spectrum, and yet due to the left controlling the culture and language, Nazis are apparently only a big problem for the “Right”.

Because they’re on the same side. It s quite stunning, although not surprising to read watch and listen to the Media drones protect their comrades in the Antifa fascist crowd and the Soros funded militant racists of BLM… According to the Media the ‘white supremacists” are much more icky than those lovely Soros paid urine throwing mask wearing violent cowards of Antifa and how dare anyone not see matters exactly as the Media tells you to. The Media are doing their job of sowing discontent, dividing Americans and selling their message of hate, nothing surprising about that. We see its success in Lilley’s pusilanimous exit (he never impressed me, even marginally) and even in Faith’s unnecessary, defensive and corny comment about being hearbroken by the death of a woman she didn’t know. And when you say in effect ‘I am not a neo nazi’ you lose.
    And as LindaL spells out “Unite the Right” was a leftist operation run by an Obama supporter and OWS man. You needed to have a tin ear for Unite the Right to sound … right. From that perspecrive The Rebel was duped.

  29. They are those who are pushing for one-world-government. Part of that is erasing national identity. They are working to destroy other aspects of identity as well. The globalists are funding and supporting much of the disruption happening around the world, such as the unprecedented European migrations from Africa and the civil disruption in the States. They are in fact a global elite looking to control the masses: EU leaders, many at the UN, massive corporations (Google, Amazon), globalists control the media. I believe that some of the deep state politics in the US is also controlled by globalists. There is really a lot of background on this if you are interested enough to investigate.
